Auric Energy (formerly Auric Solar and Solaroo Energy)

Please read this all the way through! When I first started researching solar I talked with several different companies and nobody came close to Solaroo as far as professionalism and knowledge. For me it was a no brainer I was very excited about my decision even more so after reading all the reviews. It all went down hill the very day I signed the contract for financing! I signed what I thought was a contract of what my payments would be but I guess not, because the night I signed something changed with percentage rate which of course changed my monthly payments! And apparently there was nothing Solaroo was able to do about it!.
Next issue I had was communication! Or lack there of...I understand it’s a long process waiting for every little thing to fall in place for the next step to happen but I was left in the dark. I felt like nothing would have moved forward if I wasn’t constantly contacting my salesman on everything little thing! I was always having to call and find out why where what and when! I just felt after he made his sale that was all he cared about!. Part of my system was to include an energy upgrade for home which included new blown in insulation
Which also included sealing around all light and wires and vents or whatever else is required to be sealed in attic! And also a solar attic fan to be installed! The insulation crew wasn’t aware of sealing around anything in attic they thought they were there only to blow in insulation! I tried to communicate with them about what was promised and they couldn’t understand because they did not speak English! So they had to reschedule another crew on a different day to do the right thing! Which ended up being the same issue but at least these guys understood what I was asking for and finally made it right! The solar attic fan was “Forgot” back at the shop so had to reschedule a different day to come back and install it! On to installation day of solar! The crew showed up on time and did there thing..Just had a few issues...electricians had to get in attic to run wires I was told by salesman that any of my brand new blown in insulation that was walked on would then be fluffed back up when they were done! Didn’t happen I had to go up there and do it myself! Also electrician had to borrow a tool from me and required my assistance in pulling wire! Doesn’t seem professional to me! The solar panel installers were very fast but very sloppy! Instead of using a stud finder or just measuring for truss locations they just started pounding on my brand new not even a week old roof with their hammer! The whole reason I got a new roof was from hail damage and they are up there banging as hard as they could with a hammer to hear for the trusses! Not good! Also I found several gashes in my new shingles from them installing everything! And lastly with the installers they went through after they were done and cut off excess rails from the arrays which put aluminum shavings all over my roof and solar panels which they did not clean up! I was up there that night cleaning everything off myself! And finally it’s time to turn system on for the first time! 5 months later I was so excited low and behold only a portion of the system worked! It took 2 trips out to my house and a week later they finally got it all working! Turned out their electrician wired the system wrong! You can do what you want but I strongly encourage you to shop around! It will save you a lot of time and headache! Good luck!
