They are performing as expected. Vulnerability to squirrels is an issue we are dealing with. That's something sales people should consider in areas like ours where we have trees. Warranty issues will be critical since the service life of the panels is supposed to be 25 years. If they pay for themselves in 8-10 years as expected, they should produce 15 years of energy free although not necessarily at the level of a new panel. We'll see. Works fine, sends statistics to a website so we can monitor production. It has a feature I love but have not yet tested. If the grid goes down, I can disconnect from the grid and plug a power cord into a connector in the inverter, so when the panels are producing power I would have enough power for basic needs and probably also trickle charge a battery to have light at night during a blackout.... read more

The installers knew what they were doing, cared about the appearance of the installation (there's more than panels on the rooftop!) and after the installation (oh, yes, that's important!) when there was a glitch because of grid power issues the Edge support guy was here quickly to fix things and show us what to do the next time it happens. The installation was delayed by a number of factors, including need to clear historic district conditions. It all happened without any work on our part but we had to wait several months longer than expected.... read more
