We did our due diligence when we decided to get a solar system, requesting quotes from large companies, small companies, and in-between companies too. There were pros and cons to each, but we ultimately chose Cosmic for their reputation (turns out that quite a few of our neighbors had gone with them and had glowing things to say), competitiveness of their price, extremely quick turnaround, and the exceptional service they provide.

We were in quite a rush to get a system put up ASAP, and not only were we able to get up and running in less than 1/3 of the time any other company could promise, but it was with no corners cut. With Cosmic's roofer, we were able to have our roof in tip-top shape and good to go for the next 40 years. Within just a few days after the roof work was completed, Cosmic's team came out and had the whole system up in just 2 days. They handled all the permits and the electrical adapter that we needed, and even spent half a day here to make sure they were present to meet the inspector from the city for the final inspection. A few days after that, we got the green light from SDG&E to turn everything on and we've been enjoying the benefits of solar ever since! The best-in-class warranties that Cosmic provides give us peace of mind that they'll be there if we ever need help, and they were very responsive to any questions we had along the way.

There are a few things that they do differently to really stand out from the rest. First and foremost, they take a small deposit at the start but then require no payment at all until the entire system is up and running. Secondly, they work closely with their roofer so if you need any roof work done (you'll want to make sure it's in good condition before you put a solar system on it), you're not having to deal with finding a roofer on your own -- though if you want to, you certainly can. And lastly, the expertise and service is unparalleled: they hold all relevant licenses, do the work with in-house staff instead of subcontracting out, give you a clear picture of the entire process and what to expect... you get the idea.

I can't say enough good things about Cosmic. They are the kind of family-run, high-quality small business that is getting harder and harder to find nowadays. I would recommend them without hesitation.... read more
