Renogy Customer Support Review

I have not fully tested my Renogy system, I’m not able to complete an equipment performance review at this time but hopefully it will be better than my customer support experience. The majority of my system were bought from vendors such as Amazon, except for (1) lithium battery bought directly from the Renogy website. The following is my experience dealing directly with the Renogy customer support team regarding an issue that was never resolved to my satisfaction. Setting up a solar power system requires a big initial investment – I wish that Renogy did a better job at filling orders and supporting customers. Renogy Solar Power System Components: (2) Renogy 100Ah LiFePO4 Deep Cycle Lithium Batteries w/ Bluetooth Renogy 500A Battery Monitor Renogy Rover 40 Amp Solar Charge Controller Renogy BT-1 Bluetooth Module Renogy 3000W Pure Sine Wave Inverter Charger Renogy 175 Watt 12V Monocrystalline Solar Panel Renogy 100 Watt 12V Monocrystalline Foldable Solar Panel Suitcase 06/09/22 (Order# 10194707) Order placed directly through Renogy for (1) 100Ah LiFePO4 Deep Cycle Lithium Batteries w/ Bluetooth. 06/11/22 (Order# 10194707) Renogy notified me that the order has been shipped via Fedex tracking # 274216100120. 06/20/22 Pat – Customer Support (Case# 00429100) I notified Renogy that the Fedex tracking number reports that a label was created but the package was not received by Fedex. Pat stated that the warehouse confirmed that the order was delivered to Fedex. Pat stated that I will be contacted within 24 hours and a new order will be shipped if Fedex does not update tracking info. (I was not contacted by Pat or anyone from Renogy). 06/22/22 Aya – Customer Support (Case# 00429100) Aya stated that a replacement order will be entered since it has been over (10) days since the order was missing. Expedited shipping is not available. 06/23/22 Customer Support (Case# 00429100) Renogy provided a new Fedex tracking number for the replacement order. 06/30/22 Charlie – Customer Support (Case# 00435605) I notified Renogy of missing parts from the order received today; Charlie stated that a new case (Case# 00435605) will need to be opened because (Case #00429100) has been resolved since I received the order. I emailed photos of the package contents and advised Charlie that the following items are missing: Battery manual, (2) long terminal screws, and (2) rubberized terminal covers (red and black). These items were included in the identical Renogy 100Ah LiFePO4 Deep Cycle Lithium Batteries w/ Bluetooth order that I made through Amazon and requested the missing items be sent to me. 07/02/22 Customer Support (Case# 00435605) I requested verification of receipt of my email from Renogy because I had not received a response. 07/04/22 Charlie – Customer Support (Case# 00435605) Charlie stated that 2x M8 bolts are present in my order and that Renogy does not have rubberized terminal covers (red and black) and they are not included in the package. Charlie stated that the manual can be accessed online and included a pdf file. 07/05/22 Customer Support (Case# 00435605) I emailed Renogy with my disappointment in my experience dealing directly with Renogy for solar components and with the customer support experience – late and missing itmes. I explained that the exact same battery was ordered through Amazon with the parts that are missing from my order from Renogy. I included a photo of the parts that were received with my Amazon order that were not received with my Renogy order (photo attached). Amazon does a much better job expediting shipping and resolving support issues than Renogy. I recommend reading Renogy customer support reviews – I wish I had paid more attention to the reviews before designing my system. 07/13/22 Customer Support (Case# 00435605) I have not received a response from Renogy from my emails (07/05/22) and have not received the missing components. I suspect that Renogy has closed case# 00435605 – although it is certainly NOT to my satisfaction and is NOT a complete order and was received (3) weeks after the order was placed. renogy has very poor customer service

Customer service is nonexistent. Its been a month since the status of my order was "shipped", but no tracking and no package as of today. I called and its impossible to get a hold of customer service to inquire about my order. I also submitted a ticket on their website for support, still no one has gotten back to me. I am submitting another ticket but, seems useless since no one has reached out to me. I will have to take this to my credit card company. Please save yourself the headache and order solar from someone with a customer service that actually answers your questions. I understand that we are in a pandemic and everything is taking longer, but I believe it is unacceptable to be a month into an order without having an update. At the very minimum they should say there is a delay in shipment, or back order, but again. No communication at all.

I have a small deck project with 10 Renogy panels and I am quite happy with the results and the quality. Solid, priced right, reliable, great customer service. Very Happy Customer here (in the Pacific Northwest)
