When putting all the money out for a solar system it’s extremely important to hire a local company that has its own installers and that actually cares about solar. Four years ago I purchased a solar system not knowing what I was doing from a non local company. Five months ago half the system quit working. I contacted the company and they kept ignoring my request for repair. Then I finally received an email that stated they were going bankrupt. I found out that a lot of companies sprang up to collect the government payout and after things dried up would take the money and run. Since I am paying a savings and loan I couldn’t simply stop paying and I still owed over 17k. They referred me to the company they contracted with. That company blew me off, there’s not much money in repair vs full installs. I tried a third company that I thought was local but turned out not to be and the contractor they hire could not repair my system. FYI, there are different manufacturers of systems and they are very different. Finally I found Truesouth solar, their customer service was friendly and helpful. They sent a knowledgeable tech out who was on staff and not an independent contractor. He fixed my system and it works perfectly now. Truesouth solar did not make much money off of me and yet treated me with concern and respect. If you are in southern Oregon and want to purchase a solar system I highly recommend them. Down the road if something goes wrong, you need to be able to count on support. I literally contacted every company in the Medford area and Truesouth solar was the only one that was willing and competent to help.

Their team is innovative, visionary and efficient. Everyone we dealt with was courteous and informative. Mason walked us through what was to be expected and followed up when the job was completed. He continues to be responsive to any questions we might have. This is an investment we feel really good about and we have been extremely impressed with True South Solar.

Mason, on the other hand never followed up after the contract was signed. The last time he met with us, he promised information on kwh differences. I have not heard from him yet. They were very knowledgeable, had the Best Quality Solar panels (Sun Power) which also generated the most kw's per panel of any of the companies I looked at. Wade our salesman was very helpful in answering all our questions. They gave us several options and helped us get the financing we needed to cover the project not covered by the rebates. The installation crew was very professional and the installation of our 5.52 KW PV System took two half days. The first day they even worked in the rain. After discussing panel placement, I had them install a 5.9kw system on my garage. They were able to install it early and had a large team of guys come out. Done in one day with inspection the next. Went very smooth and am able to monitor it over the internet. I would highly recommend this company.
