Post installation review

All my encounters with this company have been positive. There was never any kind of hidden fees or costs- paid exactly what I was quoted. Have been running on solar for about 2 months now. Questions and concerns were all addressed promptly and company communicated well. Did a lot of research into the good, the bad, and the ugly that people have experienced in their experience with solar and I can honestly say it’s only been good for me with this company.

We had True Energy Systems install solar panels on our home in July. The process went smoothly from start finish and was fully operational in record time. The staff at true energy are very professional and knowledgeable and kept us informed every step of the way. We could not be more pleased with our new solar system from True Energy.

Leah and the crew from True Energy exceeded all expectations for our solar installation. They kept us informed throughout the process and the system was installed and running in record time. Very professional and made the process easy for us.

Recently became a client/customer of True Solar from previously being a part of the bankrupt solar company Purelight Power who did my set up/onboarding/installation a couple of years ago. We thought we had a roof leak tied to our solar and (luckily) found True Solar and could not be happier to have found this company. They treated our issue with urgency and got someone out within a few days - their tech (Grant) was extremely nice and more importantly - extremely knowledgeable and detail oriented and explained our set up to me in a way I clearly understood. Unfortunately for us, our issue in the end did not tie to our solar but was an HVAC issue but going forward, I feel very supported to be in the True Solar family - they are doing monitoring on my system for free which is amazing but more importantly, I know they will be there for us should any actual issues with our system happen. I could not recommend them more!

Seamless! From start to finish! Great staff for our plan, panel install and electrical hookup. Brandi was fantastic at keeping us abreast of everything taking place and when to expect the crew(s) and or inspectors. The CornBelt inspection was completed, the utility inspector provided glowing reviews for True Solar and indicated to us that True Solar had everything completed exactly as they had initially submitted for approval. CornBelt told us that with some solar companies they have to reschedule and come back one or more times for final approval/connection as the completed system is nothing like what had been initially submitted (adding that it is typically due to other carriers subcontracting the work out). Thank you True Solar!! We are very happy with our system!

True Solar has been amazing since taking over our system and really appreciate all their help. Emmy has been able to provide exceptional customer service and appreciate the technicians who have come out. We don't know what we would have done without them since the prior solar company that installed our system went out of business. They have truly been exceptional to work with.

Exceptional customer service and following every step to approval. Installation done with skill and speed. Our system is up and running producing as promised.

I made my choice to reach out to them based on they had the most positive customer reviews. Upon learning about technology they use they were a clear winner. Another company very much treated me as if they were selling me a car. Super aggressive salespeople, they did not and I appreciated that.

TRUE SOLAR IOWA

Highly recommend Iowa True Solar for going solar. From the initial Zoom call with Leigh to the final approval to activate the solar array I knew that this was the company to utilize for my going solar. I signed the contract late in the year during what was an extremely hectic period with the federal rebate ending in a few short months. I was kept updated every step of the way and the team at Iowa True Solar did an outstanding job in getting all the details worked out in an incredibly timely fashion. The myriad of details such as the initial site evaluation, permits, working with the utility company, etc. were performed efficiently and with little personal involvement by myself. Everyone that I worked with at Iowa True Solar was professional and took the time to answer any questions that I had. I definitively recommend Iowa True Solar as the go to company to install a solar array.

Easy & Quick

True Solar took care of everything. There was little planning or anything that we needed to do. Installation was quick and everything is working great.

Excellent company!

Top notch employees. Explained everything when I had questions. Electrician was phenomenal. Very easy to work with and knowledgeable about the process and the equipment. Also did a really good job on mounting conduit and boxes to my house so I could reside in the spring would definitely do business with them again if I have another solar project!

The process was incredibly seamless from start to finish. Our sales rep John was very informative in walking us through our options, and our project manager Brandi was communicative throughout the entire project. True Solar communicated with the city and utility companies so we barely had to lift a finger. Highly recommend.

I couldn’t be happier with my experience with True Solar! The quotes they provided were spot on, and the schedule they set up was exactly what they delivered on. Our salesman, Dave Lidquist, is absolutely the best! The follow-up throughout the process was amazing, and the whole team made sure I was informed every step of the way. The design and look of my solar system turned out fantastic, and nothing feels sweeter than not having to pay the electric company for my electricity usage. True Solar exceeded my expectations in every way. Ten out of ten, highly recommend!

Couldn't have made a better choice!

I can't express how helpful and informative this whole crew is at True Solar. From beginning to end they were there with an answer for us. The entire experience was great and the installation was quick and clean. They are a local business as well which gave us a much more reassuring sense when we decided to go with True Solar over other solar companies. Thanks True Solar!

True Solar Experieince

The process from receiving their proposal to placing the order then installation and final approvals was very easy. A project manager was assigned to me who kept me informed of the approval process as well as worked with me to schedule the panel installation and electrical work. The workers were all very professional and left my place looking as they found it. The solar works as expected and is generating the expected electricity. I have not used nor needed "After sales support" as of yet so I only rated it 1 star.

True Solar made the process very simple for us. They took care of everything. The installes were very quick and efficient.

Knocked it out of the park

True Solar did an exceptional job with my project. From the initial design to working with Alliant Energy to get it turned on; they handled every aspect. I can’t think of anything I would’ve had them do differently! I highly recommend them if you are looking at adding solar to your property.

Our experience with True Solar was great. They were very professional, informative and responsive throughout the whole process. Aside form some documentation that we needed to gather, they did all of the heavy lifting. All we had to do is be patient for everything to get installed, inspected, and approved. I would highly recommend working with True Solar if you're thinking about making the switch from grid to solar!

Great Solar Company for those looking in Eastern Iowa

My experience with True Solar was great. Everything from the quote to the install. My sales rep did a wonderful job describing the specific components of the the system I purchased. The project manager did a excellent job of keeping me updated during the entire process! And the installation was done very professionally! The entire Install went quicker than expected and I was producing power well before spring! Very pleased with True Solar and would highly recommend them to anybody looking to do solar! I wanted a system where I could set it and forget it and the system I got with True Solar is simply that!

Smooth process and installation.

The rep was up front about all costs and the timeline for installation. Installers were all pleasant to work with. The office notified us as soon as we had a utility document to sign. They took care of all the miscellaneous fees (inspections, permits, etc.). We're happy to be reducing our electrical costs at last!

Could not have asked for a better experience from start to finish. From my very first phone call to being able to pull the switch. The process was as smooth as it could be. They answered all my questions and guided us though it all. I would highly recommend True Solar to anyone looking for the solar advantage to fight the rising cost of utility bills.

Easy and straightforward

Sales - John did a great job working with me to validate what we needed. His proposal was straightforward, low pressure, and was pretty close to what I had estimated on my own. Project management - Brandi kindly put up with a lot of random texts, emails, and phone calls from me asking about status and next steps. True Solar handled all of the permitting, paperwork, scheduling, and coordination so that I only needed to contribute signatures at the appropriate times. Install - the installation team was great. They were quick and clean and coordinated well with me on details that I might care about (like cutting into walls by our breaker box).

True Solar was excellent at keeping us informed. Very good at keeping on schedule.

We had been intrigued by and researching solar energy for our home for several years. This summer we had several companies knocking on our door rekindling our curiosity about going solar. After more research and comparing several proposals from various companies, we chose to go solar with True Solar and could not be happier. We are impressed with how much energy is being produced in what should be the least efficient time of the year in Dubuque when it comes to producing solar energy. The panels look great and we love checking our energy output and consumption on the apps. Our decision to go with True Solar was based on what we felt was superior equipment with the best warranty’s. In addition, True Solar has a great reputation for installations. Our sales rep, John explained the process of the install better than any of the other reps, while explaining everything to us along the way in a way that made sense. He also showed the most pride in the small but mighty company he works for and stated the whole team at True Solar would be professional, and have more expertise than any competitor. He was so right! Everyone we worked with throughout the process was amazing. From the young man who knocked on our door, to the sales department, project management, electricians, installation crew and finance department… EVERYONE was amazing.
