Highly recommend Iowa True Solar for going solar. From the initial Zoom call with Leigh to the final approval to activate the solar array I knew that this was the company to utilize for my going solar. I signed the contract late in the year during what was an extremely hectic period with the federal rebate ending in a few short months. I was kept updated every step of the way and the team at Iowa True Solar did an outstanding job in getting all the details worked out in an incredibly timely fashion. The myriad of details such as the initial site evaluation, permits, working with the utility company, etc. were performed efficiently and with little personal involvement by myself. Everyone that I worked with at Iowa True Solar was professional and took the time to answer any questions that I had. I definitively recommend Iowa True Solar as the go to company to install a solar array.

True Solar took care of everything. There was little planning or anything that we needed to do. Installation was quick and everything is working great.

Top notch employees. Explained everything when I had questions. Electrician was phenomenal. Very easy to work with and knowledgeable about the process and the equipment. Also did a really good job on mounting conduit and boxes to my house so I could reside in the spring would definitely do business with them again if I have another solar project!

Our sales rep John was very informative in walking us through our options, and our project manager Brandi was communicative throughout the entire project. The process from receiving their proposal to placing the order then installation and final approvals was very easy. A project manager was assigned to me who kept me informed of the approval process as well as worked with me to schedule the panel installation and electrical work. The workers were all very professional and left my place looking as they found it. The solar works as expected and is generating the expected electricity. I have not used nor needed "After sales support" as of yet so I only rated it 1 star.

Aside form some documentation that we needed to gather, they did all of the heavy lifting. All we had to do is be patient for everything to get installed, inspected, and approved. My experience with True Solar was great. Everything from the quote to the install. My sales rep did a wonderful job describing the specific components of the the system I purchased. The project manager did a excellent job of keeping me updated during the entire process! And the installation was done very professionally! The entire Install went quicker than expected and I was producing power well before spring! Very pleased with True Solar and would highly recommend them to anybody looking to do solar! I wanted a system where I could set it and forget it and the system I got with True Solar is simply that!

The rep was up front about all costs and the timeline for installation. Installers were all pleasant to work with. The office notified us as soon as we had a utility document to sign. They took care of all the miscellaneous fees (inspections, permits, etc.). We're happy to be reducing our electrical costs at last!

Could not have asked for a better experience from start to finish. From my very first phone call to being able to pull the switch. The process was as smooth as it could be. They answered all my questions and guided us though it all. I would highly recommend True Solar to anyone looking for the solar advantage to fight the rising cost of utility bills.

Sales - John did a great job working with me to validate what we needed. His proposal was straightforward, low pressure, and was pretty close to what I had estimated on my own. Project management - Brandi kindly put up with a lot of random texts, emails, and phone calls from me asking about status and next steps. True Solar handled all of the permitting, paperwork, scheduling, and coordination so that I only needed to contribute signatures at the appropriate times. Install - the installation team was great. They were quick and clean and coordinated well with me on details that I might care about (like cutting into walls by our breaker box).

We had been intrigued by and researching solar energy for our home for several years. This summer we had several companies knocking on our door rekindling our curiosity about going solar. After more research and comparing several proposals from various companies, we chose to go solar with True Solar and could not be happier. We are impressed with how much energy is being produced in what should be the least efficient time of the year in Dubuque when it comes to producing solar energy. The panels look great and we love checking our energy output and consumption on the apps. Our decision to go with True Solar was based on what we felt was superior equipment with the best warranty’s. In addition, True Solar has a great reputation for installations. Our sales rep, John explained the process of the install better than any of the other reps, while explaining everything to us along the way in a way that made sense. He also showed the most pride in the small but mighty company he works for and stated the whole team at True Solar would be professional, and have more expertise than any competitor. He was so right! Everyone we worked with throughout the process was amazing. From the young man who knocked on our door, to the sales department, project management, electricians, installation crew and finance department… EVERYONE was amazing. Updated Jan 17, 2024: The True Solar folks have been providing excellent service and communication since the earlier miscommunication. Communication good until payment made. Then communication stopped. We don’t know the status of the project and get no returns to our inquiries.

Communication was prompt and all work was done quickly and professionally.

This was an easy process and they are great to work with. We at 3 months in and got exactly what we paid for. They delivered in every part of the project and the results are phenomenal.

John and Kelly were great to work with John answered all are questions before we went a head with them. The transfer to the company was easy he informed us who we would be working with .Kelly keeped us updated on things and thing on schedule as much as possible due to Weather.

Started the process for solar and were told it could take up to 4 months before everything was approved and we were up and running. It was only 3 weeks from start to finish. True Solar did an exceptional job. They worked diligently and were very professional about all they did. They cleaned up after themselves, removing all the trash and debris that came with unpacking and installation. We are now producing our own electricity and have seen a 28% drop in just 10 days of service. Can’t wait to see what we produce for a full month and what our potential savings will be. Highly recommend this company. They were on the lesser expensive side of things, but are no way cheap. They do not try to upsell you on anything that you do not need. They also do not sell you 100% of your needs, as an over abundance of power production will cause you to lose money. They figure things out and explain things very well so that people can understand the process. When You Go solar-Go True Solar. You will be very happy with everything!

The crew excided my expectations. I feel they were very honest and open on what to expect and how the process would go. The reinforced the information I had previously found in earlier research. They did not try to up sell me on a over sized system or equipment. They use the highest rated equipment. Truly feel they are a great company and did a great job. Just turned power on today. Absolutely great people to work with. Smooth process! Nice equipment too! Clean install. Will recommend them to anyone looking for solar. Will use them on our next house for sure.
