The Solar Exchange

As far as I can tell they know what they are doing and do good work. I was just surprised at a $150 service fee when they were unable to resolve the issue of removing my system from the previous system owners application. They did talk to the previous system owner but ultimately through my realtor the previous system owner sent me his credentials and I removed the system myself. This after having initially being very skeptical that they would be able to do anything in person if it is simply an account removal process. They insisted they had to come out. The only reason I reached out in the first place was because the original owner said they couldn't do it and Solar Exchange would have to make the change. I am not disputing paying a fee when someone had to physically come out but it seems quite steep for ultimately making a phone call and leaving it in my own hands to resolve. I am not against working with them again they seemed really knowledgable and did answer any questions I had. I am just disappointed with this first interaction.

Great professional company. Taylor came out and looked over my solar set up to discuss an upgrade. He gave me a few options and did not pressure me into the more expensive option, but recommended the more logical and cost effective way to upgrade. The workers were polite and very professional, timely and neat. They even stacked my old solar panels neatly inside out of the way when they were finished. I am looking forward to my “phase 2” upgrade with them in the future.

The Solar Exchange has performed 5 installations for me and maintained my systems in both Mesa and the White Mountains. They know the technology, they only sell/install quality equipment, and they are qualified to do both off-grid and grid-tied installations. I have interviewed many solar companies, and this is the only company I will use and recommend.

I am very pleased with my dealings with Matt Hamilton and Solar Exchange. They were very quick to get us back up and running several years ago when we were struck by lightening. Since then they have helped me upgrade my system several times. I now have a very capable system that should last for years. I will definitely return to them for future upgrades!

I have an Outback solar charger/inverter in my RV that was showing a few error codes. I scheduled an appointment with Matt, who was able to diagnose the issue within 10 minutes as well as answer several other questions I had about the unit. Matt's 30 years in the business, friendly personality and quick fix was everything you expect from a quality company and solid work ethic. Cost of service is not represented in the review, because Matt didn't charge me for the service due to the code being normal (no parts needed).

I have had system for 2 years now. It is an upgrade from previous system we did ourselves. It works perfectly. Can run several tvs, washing machine, pumps, heat, etc without any problems even when we have several days of cloudy weather. Installation is perfect and looks great. They are very professional. When we were hit by lightening last year they repaired the damaged part the next day.

Poor follow up

The Solar Exchange installed my roof top system 3 years ago and I have had problems off and on during that time with minimal and now non existent help from them. Currently my panels are putting out about 10% of what they should and The Solar Exchange does not care. They were more than happy to install this expensive system but have no desire for follow up. Be wary of using them.

Everyone, friends and visitors alike who see the finishd Solar Panels project, are very impressed! And, I have comfort in knowing that if the electric grid goes down, that I will still have electricity for the important areas of my home. utility inspection, were any work corrections needed before the utility inspection was signed off ? I`m not sure...ask Mr. Hamilton. If you used purchase incentives: Did your contractor charge you the full job amount, or the net amount after purchase incentives were deducted ? The wording of this question is confusing...ask Mr. Hamilton.
