I’ve worked with Sunspear a few times. My first experience was as a listing agent, Nick Lee was hired to do an inspection on the solar system. I was very impressed with his knowledge and he seemed like an awesome guy, good customer service skills so I got his number and he’s now helped with a couple buyers. Him and Ann in the office are wonderful and can’t recommend them highly enough!

Jeff went above and beyond to personally reach out after my earlier calls about solar issues went unanswered by his office staff. He took the time to explain that the delay was due to staffing challenges, and I truly appreciated his honesty, professionalism, and willingness to make things right. Not only did he address my concerns, but he also ensured my solar needs were fully taken care of. His effort and customer-focused approach really stood out as he followed up even after the job was completed. The technicians came out on time, called us when he was about 30 minutes away, and did a great job. We'll be sure to use this company again in the future for anything solar related.

Sunspear went from 5 stars to 1. Phase 1 install went smoothly, new battery installed in July 2025 to replace a smaller battery to be used elsewhere (Phase 2). Problem #1, your electrician removed WITHOUT my permission or knowledge till after it was removed, the generator outlet/plug saying "you won't need this anymore" told him that is a back up, again said "you won't need this anymore and walked away. (low and behold Kona Low hit, battery lasted 8 hours, we were out about 30 hours, no way to hook up the generator which was the main reason we had that outlet installed in the first place). Sunspear needs to reinstall it, shouldn't have removed it in the first place. Problem #2 - Happened to be working with Heco and it was mentioned something happened in August (battery installed in July). The electric bill has nearly tripled, called the office, left messages, no call back. Called again, left messages for Jillian, Anela & Nick - no call back. Happened to pick up Marko's business card at the home show, he's the only one that answered the phone. Mentioned luckily he answered as my next call was to BBB. He was very nice and researched my situation, called me back saying a Jamie would call back next day, again no call back. Marko called me and Zack came out next day to check system which is still not working properly. Problem #3 - Noticed the micro inverters are not reporting called trouble, was told someone would call that afternoon, no call back, called again next day and Ginger working with Zack manually scheduled crew for Monday. Zack was nice enough to have me use him as my main contact since I have been unsuccessful getting anyone from Sunspear to get back to me. He's been trying to escalate issues but it seems to fall on deaf ears. Phase 2 - which is to reinstall my old battery along with new panels on another bldg, the paperwork came thru shortly after Phase 1, put a deposit and paid 1/2 of job in October 2025. Then radio silence. Again calling & texting trying to get status. Spoke to a rep at the Blaisdell Home Show in January asking for help, he took my name & number saying because I'm a customer it will be marked as a priority someone will call me back on Monday. Again, no call back. Even called/texted Sales person trying to get some kind of status. Zack texted that he was meeting with his bosses regarding my issues. Finally got an email acknowledgment from Toy last week, wondering if the process is starting all over again because its been so long. I hope the battery is not damaged as its been sitting over 9 months now. I want some compensation for all the stress and frustration Sunspear has put me thru and also get the job done right! So disappointed in a company I thought was gonna be great.

I had several estimates to install solar on my house and went with Sunspear because they offered a very competitive price and they were more knowledgeable and professional than the other companies that provided estimates. Laura Poirier was particularly helpful sizing the system based on my needs, explaining all the steps in my process, discussing financing options and answering all of my questions. Everyone else I dealt with at Sunspear met the same high standards that Laura set for professionalism and friendliness. Sunspear did a great job installing the system in a timely manner and handled all the required permits with HECO and City and County. My new PV system is producing the amount of electrical Power that Laura said it would and my HECO bill is the minimum connection fee. I would definitely recommend Sunspear to anyone considering installing or adding to their solar system.

If you want Solar, this is the company to choose. They are 5 star. From beginning to end, no hassles, top notch, very professional. They made the whole venture seamless and communicated thru the whole process. 6 months from contact to installation. All the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. My solar panels were commissioned a little over a month ago and I have been loving them. Anela was a great consultant, very knowledgeable and personable. She was able to give a good estimate of how many panels and batteries I’d need for my home (which was a new purchase) just be me describing my lifestyle.
