My installation experience

Honestly, dealing with SuNation was a great experience. They are extremely thorough and I cannot say enough good things about the company. They are very patient and explained everything to me in detail. They were very clean, left no mess and very fastidious with their workmanship. They worked with me every step of the way and I would recommend them to anyone as opposed to those other solar companies that are more fly by night shops. They have been in business for many years and thatwas one of my deciding factors besides several recommendations.

From the salesman to the installation crew I could not be more happy . Everything they said they would do they did and there was not one hidden charge. And at one point they discussed with me a part of the installation and I requested they they take the more difficult way to please my wife and they complied without any arguement and there still was no additional charge. They started and finished on the dates they said and cleaned up every day when done . They never had any kind of a mess as they kept the work area free of debris all the time. When the job was completed they went over the system with me and explained how everything worked. As the job was going if I asked a question they would stop and answer it right away and always with a smile.

A Great Experience!

I thought about going solar for while now. I researched many companies and met with a couple. Everything with Sunation went exactly how they said it would. The paperwork was totally done by them. Anytime I had a question they answered it completely. Anytime I called I actually talked to the person I need to talk with. They were with me the whole time. I'd get update emails every week or two about the stage of my permit. The installation was amazing. The guys were punctual and extremely neat. The install went exactly like the renderings that were given to me. I can't say enough about the professionalism of this company. This was a big undertaking and I picked the right company to do it with. Also, I didn't spend a dime out if pocket. They arranged a no interest, short term loan while I wait for the tax rebates to come in and the balance is a low interest loan with NYS. I'd recommend this company to anyone!

Best Company Ever!

We researched 3 big companies on Long Island and in our research we found that SUNation Solar had an A+ Better Business Bureau rating, has been in business for years, and had only 1 or 2 complaints, unlike the other companies we researched. After meeting with SUNation, we knew they were the company. Their referral list is huge. The salesman was not pushy; he was informative and very respectful. Everything leading up to, and including, installation of our solar panels was out of this world; SUNation was extremely informative, keeping us apprised of what step we were at in the process. The installers were respectful and cleaned up after installation. The CEO, Scott Maskin, even called us to personally welcome us to the SUNation family! We would recommend this company 100%! And now we look forward to electrical savings!

Awesome Company, Great Team

After reviewing several solar companies from the big name to the small, I chose Sunation. The salesman Bill Auth was fantastic and worked with me every step of the way, along with the rest of the Sunation team. The company handled all the loan paperwork and the necessary town permit.The solar install for my size project was done within a day, I couldn't even tell they were here. I highly recommend this company!

Since I have dealt in the past with many companies I have not run into one that is as good as SUNation Solar Systems. They are very helpful in all steps of the buying process and the after sale. Their installation crew was so professional and polite. They explained everything after they were done. You can not do better than this company.

Amazing experience!

Sunation is the example of how to run a business. They are efficent, friendly, prompt, and knowledgeable. I interviewed 3 other companies prior to choosing Sunation. Their level of professionalism stood out. They have a superior product for the best price. We were frequently updated, even when it was just to inform us that we were still waiting on permit approval. We sign the contract in August and we're up and running by October. It's working great so far! They even installed in one day. I would highly recommend Sunation!

SunNation Solar Installation...Another (Very) Happy Customer....

Let me begin by stating that once I decided to pursue solar panels on my home, I became obsessive/compulsive in my research to ensure I absolutely made the right decision in product and company, on what would be a very large and long term commitment (financially, energy provider relationship and in technology). I met with 8 companies (a few local, a few national) before choosing to partner with Sunation. From my first mtg. with my salesperson (Bruce) through my installation (two days ago), Sunation and everyone of their employees I've been in contact with have performed superbly. They were honest, reliable and forthcoming in every aspect of their interactions with me. They made the entire process completely painless and burden free for me. They diligently handled every aspect of this process (plans, permits, equipment, installation, overall customer service, etc.). Their response time to my inquiries were always excellent, and the details of the responses meaningful. Even the President of the company called me prior to the installation to ensure my experience was and remained stellar and any potentially ambiguity was erased. If my future PSE&G bills are reduced/eliminated as forecasted, then the decision to go solar with Sunation and my above sentiments will only be strengthened. As of today, I am a very happy customer!

From my initial meeting with John Leech the sales rep throughout the final process was smooth & seamless & receiving a call from the owner to personally thank me for becoming part of the SuNation family. Every step of the way from John to all inside office personal & finally the installers was exceptional with communications handled in a very timely manner that any business would have a very difficult time matching. I've done many months of research, "which I suggest all should do to make an intelligent & proper decision", I even received quotes form other solar companies. However a few things made the decision very easy for me: 1) Local installer who has exceptional feedback in our community here on Long Island & the comfort if any issues arise they will be there for me. 2) They have high quality panels (Sun Power), which if you don't do your research on the differences in solar panels you may be getting a lower quality panel & most likely will not get the same results. 3) Some companies push lease programs which basically benefits them as opposed to SuNations buy programs.Google 'What is better buying or leasing solar" & you will see overwhelming reviews that buying for the majority is the way to go. In closing I cannot say enough how impressed I was with the whole experience I had dealing with SuNation, as they actually do what they preach. In my humble opinion all business's should use the SuNation business model for there companies as a benchmark to excel.

SUNATION Superior Review

We investigated 3 solar installers and found SUNATION to be by far the most professional from start to finish. We had previously seen installations by other company's and discovered SUNATION methods did not cut any corners ending with a neat clean finished installation. The solar panels we installed are superior to the panels being installed by others in producing power and the cost was not significantly different.

Nothing but good to say about SUNation

The whole process from beginning to end was so easy and smooth. The representatives kept us informed every step of the way through the application process, filing for the permit and scheduling the installation. On the day of the installation, the trucks pulled up right on time and got to work. Since it looked like it was going to rain the next day, they got more installers to come later in the afternoon to finish the job in one day. The solar array is beautiful, neat and clean, and you can't see any pipes at all. They left my yard and driveway clean. I highly recommend SUNation and am more than happy that I chose them.

SUNation was very professional. John Leach was the salesman who was very informative. The staff took care of all paperwork and the installation crew was very neat and professional.There is not one thing we could complain about. This is a great company for anyone looking to install solar.

Better than I had expected!

I was pleasantly surprised and pleased in how the installation team to the time to understand my installation concerns for my garage where the inverter was to be mounted. They understood I was concerned the "overall appearance/cosmetics" to the system install. They listened and the installation job went smooth.

SUNation Solar Company performed their job the way a great company should. From the initial sales meeting to the installers everything went perfectly. And the follow up has been amazing. My system options were clearly explained in the sales meeting. The team that inspected my roof and performed the panel layout were very professional, on time, and efficient. The installation team was nothing short of amazing. They were the highlight of the entire process. Let’s face it the most important part of this is the installation. The crew the installed my system were consummate professionals in every way. Of course the other stuff matters like the friendly and informed office staff that assist you throughout the process for what is certainly a financial commitment. Their follow up with finalizing all the paper work has been great. SUNation is a well-run company with a fantastic staff that all perform their job wonderfully. Kudos to the CEO of the company. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend SUNation to anybody. I wish I had more houses that needed solar!

Solae Installation in Commack, NY

Sunation is the best, as far as I'm concerned. Tom Connelly worked with me to get exactly what I wanted, and helped me to make changes along the way. Installers were efficient, neat and cleaned up after their work. I believe that other companies, such as Vivent, are ripping people off by keeping their tax credits. Next April I will get $8800 back from the IRS and $2000 from the state.

Watch Out

First they don't give you any penny discount at all, but they offer $1000.00 for referral. Their promises : 1- Panels will start generating energy right away and you don't need to pay for electric bill anymore. False : Depends on installation time of year , if you had your installation at winter or at the beginning of the winter or fall. Panels won't be able to generate enough electricity to cover your regular electric bill. That's mean you have to pay for your mortgage for panels plus your electric bill until summer comes. 2- They give you two loans, one is main loan which you will be paying back in long time 12 years and it is usually less than your electric bill and fixed for 12 years. Which is great. And second loan is the same as cash loan , this loan is the exact amount of tax credit you getting from government and it is interest free for 1 year, and they say you will be getting that back way before due date. Great right. False : Sunation doesn't care when you will be getting your money back from IRS so , they collect the money right after the installation. Imagine if you had your installation on April , you have to pay that loan back next April couple months after your tax return time. And that's what happened to me , I got my money 2 months after loan due. Now I am stock with high interest loan for 10 years plus extra $2,500 interest top of my loan. I asked for help from Sunation and you know what they said. Watch out guys. You don't need this company.

This is by far one of the best things we did to improve our home & life quality! the peace of mind of knowing that future electric costs are under control is worth it all. sunnation was super-listened to all my concerns during installation, took the right action . the construction crew was polite, understood what I wanted, kept things neat at all times, explained the system well. They even painted the cut ends of the rack system. They used gray conduit - no shiny parts to be seen! The follow up by email by the office staff was superb helped us get by with the required local,inspections,tax deferment paper work, etc. made the whole deal painless. A big thanks to John leech and all his effort! great job to every one!!
