I had my system installed a couple of years ago, and the experience from start to finish was excellent. No upselling, no pressure—just honest advice and a team that clearly knows what they’re doing. What really stood out was the installation crew. They took their time to make everything look clean and well thought out, not just functional. You can tell they take pride in their work, which is pretty rare these days. A couple of years in now, and everything is still running perfectly. Beware of doing business with these guys. They did a good job of installing, but when needing help on errors in the system, they won't give you any attention. My system hasn't worked for a week, I've called multiple times, and haven't had any communication back. Unfortunate considering I've spent over $80,000...

We are super happy with our solar system from Stellar Solar. We have had our system for over a year, pay no electric bill and have a credit on our account. I initially went with Tesla Solar, completed all site surveys and got finance approval, but two weeks later, Tesla backed out, claiming my house wasn’t compatible with Powerwalls. I felt it was more about my project being too complex or unprofitable for them. Communication with Tesla was frustrating, and I’m not even sure if I got my deposit back. Then, I came across Stellar Solar through a YouTube ad after months of research. My sales rep, Bryan, was super responsive and advised me to wait for California’s Solar Battery Rebate program. Once that kicked in, I saved $10k on my Tesla Powerwalls. Installation was smooth—done in a day with a minor follow-up the next day. After contemplating for quite some time, I decided to add solar panels to my home. I spoke with friends that had solar, researched several different companies, and read hundreds of reviews. I ultimately went with Stellar Solar, and I am incredibly glad that I did. One personal friend also used Stellar Solar, and this helped me in my decision making process. Seeing how satisfied they were and seeing first hand the job Stellar did for them, made me very comfortable with my choice. My own personal experience has been better than I ever anticipated, even with the great reviews and a personal recommendation. From the start, Stellar was responsive without being pushy, informative, and supportive with any issues I encountered. Stellar helped me navigate the financing and assisted with getting everything worked out. In order to put on the solar panels, we had to re-roof our house. When an issue arose with the roofing company, and I could not achieve resolution with their management, Stellar stepped in and handled the problem swiftly. Since completing the job, we had questions about installing an electric vehicle charger, receiving conflicting information from the charger installation electrician. One call to Stellar, 2 months after our job was completed, and they were right there to help us get it straightened out.. As far as installation, as soon as the financing was in order, our installation was completed within 3 weeks, INCLUDING re-roofing the house. Another company I consulted with had said it would be a *minimum* of 6-8 months just to get the permits done. The crew that installed the panels were friendly, polite, very efficient, cleaned up very well after they were finished, and overall, did an amazing job. Based on my experience, and the experience of a friend who also used this company as well, I HIGHLY recommend Stellar Solar. Marc Cirelli was particularly helpful throughout the process!

This is our second house where we've used Stellar Solar. Both experiences have been great! We did our due diligence and considered several companies before we selected someone. Each time Stellar had the best pricing and process. We worked with Erin Presley and she was by far the clearest and easiest to work with out of all the companies. Stellar Solar came highly recommended by our neighbors. We interviewed other Solar companies, but Stellar were so genuine and had our best interests at heart the whole time. They only quoted for what we needed and did not try to upsell. We felt from the outset that we were going to get the best system at the right price. From quotation to survey to installation the process was smooth and easy. Communication was excellent and they were available to answer any questions quickly. The installer did an amazing job and went out of their way to make the system as unobtrusive as possible. The professionalism shone through. All facets of Stellar Solar's operation (sales, coordination, installation, and app/system assistance) were excellent. The sales folks are no-pressure, what's-best-for-your-situation type people. We have been operational for just over a year and we are very happy with the system. We received an overproduction check from SDG&E on our first annual true-up. We installed Q Cells [Q.PEAK DUO 400-DC (BLK)] panels and a Tesla Powerwall+, Gateway, and monitoring system. The Tesla app works great. We like having complete control over how much energy we are storing in the battery and how much we send off to the grid. Stellar is truly a great group to work with.

My experience with Stellar Solar was excellent from the initial consultation to the final installation. The consultant knew all the information regarding the recent NEM 2.0 to 3.0 changes and was able to answer my questions. They provided clear expected timeframes on when the solar would be installed. The work was done as promised and the follow up as been excellent. I went with the company after hearing horrible stories from other solar companies and I was very happy with my choice. If I were to further modify or purchase solar again I would definitely use Stellar Solar.

Would totally recommend Stellar Solar. After our initial inquiry, we were provided with different options and ended up going with 12 panels and a Tesla Powerwall battery. Although the entire end-to-end process did take a while (about 4-5 months), the process was smooth and straight-forward, communication was great, and the installation was neat and clean. I've been up and running with solar for almost a year now and the system has been working perfectly! Wow, we are so happy with our recent installation of solar panels. We contacted Stellar Solar in late February when we were gathering quotes for a rooftop solar system on our home in Scripps Ranch. We have a clay tile roof, which we came to learn requires additional considerations and expense when installing solar panels. At the time, all solar installers were extremely busy fielding inquiries from customers in the same boat as us, wanting to book a project before the net metering policy change. Of the three companies giving us detailed proposals, the experience of working with Stellar was by far the simplest and most satisfying. Their bid process was very efficient and transparent. Due to the size of the investment we were making, and as an engineer obsessed with details, I had loads of questions on a nearly daily basis. Our energy consultant, Peter Kennelly, made it a priority to answer my questions, in detail, in writing, almost as fast as I could think of them. In the end, Stellar’s quote was very similar (in both scope and price) to that of another well-known local solar/electric contractor, but Stellar was the clear winner with a few key advantages: 1. They would use their own employees to complete the roofing portion of our project, while the competitor uses subcontractors 2. Their commitment to answering our questions reflected a team and philosophy that seemed to prioritize customer communications above all 3. They would be able to complete the project several months sooner The contract signing and permitting steps were equally efficient, and within days we had written assurance from SDG&E that our project was approved for NEM2 status. It then became a simple matter of waiting for Stellar to start our installation. They were understandably overloaded with projects booked at the same time as ours, and I felt that it helped to stay in touch with them until they could give us a firm start date. Finally we were told a crew would begin our installation in early July, and the entire process would take 4 days. Everything went exactly just as promised from there. The crew showed up at 7am sharp each day. The supervisor, Trent, took time to answer my questions and explain each step of the process. They asked for my input on cosmetic details like placement of conduit and boxes, and took great care with those visible details, resulting in a very tidy installation. They finished on time and left no mess behind. The subsequent city and utility inspections went extremely quickly, and we were granted permission to operate less than three weeks from the start of the installation. Our system has been operating flawlessly for a few weeks now, and we are thrilled to already see the forecasted SDG&E billing statement flip to a negative number. Adding solar panels in San Diego, especially on a home with a clay tile roof, is not cheap. We did a ton of research and financial modeling on the way to making our decision. We have absolutely no regrets in our choice of Stellar Solar, and would choose them again without hesitation.

Ever since we contacted Stellar Solar about getting solar done on our house about two years ago, our house has received a lot of electricity. I went with Stellar Solar to install my Tesla Powerwall last October because they are a certified SunPower installer (my builder used SunPower for my solar panels so I wanted a company that was SunPower certified). From start to finish, Stellar did an amazing job. The entire process was streamlined: it started with an initial consultation, then design, then installation, then permitting. And their quote was cheaper than many of the other companies I asked. On installation day, their crew was extremely friendly and explained to me what was happening, how long it would take, the instructions, etc. One small hiccup was months later I had a home inspector look through my entire home and they found that the electrical panels were missing some hole coverings, which could be an issue for rodents to get inside. I called Stellar up and they fixed it immediately that week, no questions asked. Overall, I had a great experience with Stellar and would recommend them to everyone for their solar needs.
