Overview of SolarGaines
You could say that SolarGaines has been almost 30 years in the making. Since the 1980’s President Tom Gaines and his team at the construction/ contracting firm Hencken & Gaines, have built a reputation for doing high quality work, on time, and 0n budget. When lifelong friends and Marylanders Tom Gaines and Hans Wittich started SolarGaines back in 2009, they did so with a passion for improving energy consumption. They knew that solar could provide a cheaper and cleaner experience, so they wanted to create a company that it made it easier for consumers and businesses to adopt it. As local business people serving their own neighbors — all over Maryland, in Virginia, and Washington D.C. — they saw their mission as making solar more affordable and understandable. They wanted to make it easier to acquire and use. SolarGaines experts install systems, but they do a lot more. SolarGaines isn’t trying to be all things to all people. They have just one goal: Making solar the best energy choice for Marylanders, Virginians, Delawareans and Washingtonians.

SolarGaines review
System now seems to work fine. Only problems: 1 worker did not come as scheduled nor notify me he would be unable to be there--would have liked notice; 2nd problem, leak in basement shop where DC disconnect was installed. To their credit, SolarGaines kept trying until they got it fixed.
Response from SolarGaines
Dear "Westminsterwoman",
We were very sorry to hear you were not completely satisfied with your install and, while we rarely hear negative comments and strive to meet and exceed each and every customer's expectations every step of the way, we appreciate your sharing the way in which we fell short during the install.

We were very happy to hear that we fixed the problem and (according to your review), our after sales support was excellent!

Since we value your feedback, we would sincerely appreciate your commenting on the sales process and quality of our products, which was left blank. If there is anything more we can do to provide you with service in the future, please let us know.
Most sincerely,
The Solargaines Team
Response from SolarGaines
Re: Quality of products, can't comment bks don't know how to evaluate what makes one solar panel or
DC disconnect better than another. Re: sales process: representative who came to house to evaluate suitability for solar seemed thorough and knowledgeable. Did not try to high pressure me as some solar installers did, which was major reason for going w/SolarGaines, that and friend's recommendation.
