Excellent installers and troubleshooting team.

We had a great experience with the installer crew, who were friendly, professional, and communicative throughout the process. Shortly after install, one of the panels failed to come online. Basem Yani and his team were able to troubleshoot, diagnosing whether the problem was the microinverter or the panel, finding that the panel was a dud. He coordinated an RMA and delivered a replacement panel as quickly as he could and now my system is operating at full capacity.

Johan worked hard to oversee this project to completion. The installation team and electricians were hard working, competent and professional. SolarSME Install

I worked with Musa Ezai first as we worked through the logistics of what my project would look like. Our email thread was 20 emails long as Musa diligently answered every one of my incessant questions. Once the sale process was complete, I was transitioned seamlessly to the project manager, Mario Azar, for my project. The fascinating thing about this process is just how much SolarSME does on the backend. I think Mario requested one actual action item from me, which was to pick up permitting papers at the local office. All other correspondence from Mario was to provide updates about the project. I never had to prompt for an update; it was readily provided. When an item was back ordered, Mario got the project back on track immediately. The installers were professional and thorough and everything looks amazing. All of the obnoxious details that go into this project with the permits and permissions and scheduling and shipping, all of that is handled by SolarSME. While all of that was happening, I didn't have to pay anything; payments do not start until your panels are turned on. I have every confidence that if something funky happens, I can contact Mario and get near-immediate feedback. Given the scope of this project, the fact that I had to do so little is remarkable. Company Scammers

BE VERY CAREFUL WITH THE COMPANY SOLARSME!!! In January 2022, Daniel Reed (Project Manager) and Ray Conner offered me the solar panels (30 in total) for a cost of 40,000.00 USD for 25 years, they informed me that those The panels were enough to cover all the energy that my house needed and from that moment I would only have to pay the bill for the panels and not worry about the electricity bill anymore, BUT THAT WAS FALSE!!!, the calculation they made was incorrect , and now I am paying 130.00 monthly for the bill for the panels and an average of 280.00 for the electricity bill, I informed them of the situation, they said that it was not their problem, they only say that the house is consuming more than what they had calculated for me and that they are not going to do anything, after I signed a contract with them, they disappeared and did not respond for anything, they only left the debt, claimed their commissions and did not care about the problem, be careful with that company and those scammers.

Overall Positive Experience

From start to finish, the process was positive. I was provided with a single contact representative who handled all aspects of the sale and installation including design, building permits, installation, electrical works, and coordination with the power company. He was very accessible and quickly addressed all my concerns and issues.

Great Solar System

SolarSME installed a great solar and battery backup system in Cypress Texas. Daniel Reed guided me through design and installation and Basem Yani continues to give great support, answering my questions via phone and email as they occur. Excellent experience with Solar SME Inc.

We've had a completely positive experience with Solar SME Inc. and recommend them wholeheartedly. Xavier (Energy consultant) worked to understand our particular needs+hopes - w/support, advice, and answering questions to best choose our panels and system. We went with RecAlpha black panels, LG battery, and SolarEdge monitoring. Then Denis (project manager) took over and spent months walking us through the entire process - and I cannot say enough good things about him! He answered a million questions with patience and a consistently upbeat attitude - Easy to reach, professional, knowledgeable and friendly, throughout! Solar SME Inc is based in Texas, far from us; but they so smoothly managed all the paperwork/permits/inspections/subcontracting that were necessary - I would never have known it. It felt like they were local. Every single person they involved was respectful and professional. (Special credit to Cesar, who dealt with our old house issues late into the night! And Matt from Green Brilliance for a great, informative install!) Doing this during a pandemic, with supply issues nationwide, I was fearful of holdups, but Denis kept everything on the rails and steady. The experience and professionalism of the entire team were exceptional from pre-sales (Omar Ali), project management (Omar Diaz), and installation (Andrew and Lucky). Great work! Omar kept me updated throughout the entire process. Even after the installation was complete, Omar worked with the installers to address some minor concerns. I could not be happier with my system from Solar SME. We are now up and running with 46 REC panels and Encharge 20 batteries. Product, system design and service by project management ; especially installation professionals have proven to me in recent days of project completion that it was a great and professional experience. I recommend !!

I just turned on my solar array last week, so I can't say anything regarding the actual performance of the system. I can, however, speak to my experience finding a vendor, and then going about getting the system installed. I worked with Omar Ali during my research and purchasing process in Fall 2021. He was patient, thorough, and although it was clear he wanted the sale, he wasn't pushy. He worked with me, the borough, his sales and engineering teams, and the Sunlight Financial folks to ensure that I was able to get the maximum output given the limitations of my roof and borough safety requirements. I started with one project manager who is no longer in the role, and I don't mind that at all given some permitting and communication issues early in the project. Once Rick Hendrick became my project manager, he quickly resolved the permit issue, and communicated updates in both a timely manner, and in the channel of my preference (text and email, with phone calls only when a synchronous discussion was needed). Rick connected me with our local installer (PositivEnergy) for the final measurements and layout, and we were able to make adjustments based on the installer's knowledge and experience. It was then a pleasure to work with the same team months later when the materials arrived. Installation took place in one day, and just over a week later all inspections were completed, the meter updated, and system has been switched on!

Three Ring Circus

1. Ryan Filo was my Project Coordinator, who was hard to communication with, disrespectful in calling me only by my last name and didn’t listen to what I was saying. 2. The only good thing I can say is they installed the panels on my four story house and Frank the installer was good. 3. Design called for 24 – 370V solar panels, to meet the household requirements. There was room for two more, so I decided to install them, no need to “install later”. On average, two months, I’m only receiving 43% of requirements. 4. Agreed upon the 370V Sibfab panels, which was specifically asked for when contract was signed, if available. They were not available and had to split the cost on the more expensive Panasonic panels. 5. Delivery, that was funny. I asked Ryan where the items were coming from, so that I could schedule to be off work, to put them into my garage. He stated they were traveling out of FW, Tx. Come to find out, they were delivered from Austin, Tx. 6. I asked Ryan how long it should take to install, 1-1/2 days, so I could schedule and take off work. We scheduled the days to perform the work, a week before, he calls me and “tells” me they will be there in two days. NOT, nobody will be home, shut that down and started work as planned. It took a total of 3+ days to perform the work. 7. Initial communication with Ryan Filo was they were going to put up scaffolding in my driveway to get the “multiple 10’ rails, 26 - 3’ x 5’ solar panels and materials” up to the third floor. Then the day before, that changed to moving ALL of the stuff through my house, “NOT!”. Found out and shut that down. Also, Frank had requested a manlift to move the items more efficiently to the third floor on the pre-inspection and one was not sent. I helped them rig up ropes to safely move the items up and along the outside of the house without breaking anything. 8. When the installation was complete, had to wait a couple more days to turn on the system, due to CenterPoint needing a phenolic label on the box by the meter. 9. While waiting on CenterPoint approval, I inquired about a backup battery with Ryan. Just questions of cost, availability and installation. Ryan wanted to holdup the CenterPoint inspection\approval until I decided what to do, which I had already told him not to do. 10. Turned on system, April 12, 2022, working fine. Received electric bill for April, DID NOT receive credit for the solar generation for the 18 days in April. 11. Sent email to Ryan on May 10, concerning the bill problem. I was referred to Basem on May 12, technical support, to fix problem. Come to find out, CenterPoint wasn’t contacted or they didn’t pass along to Pulse Power, about the installation of the solar panels. This was corrected with a new contract on May 17, 2022. I also received an email from Eddie Wilson, Sr Project Mngr, stating that CenterPoint would give me credit for April in the May billing. 12. I received my May billing and it ONLY had the solar credit for May. I attempted to call and email Eddie, no luck or response. I got a call from Ryan stating that CenterPoint would call me to fix the problem. Then he changed it to I would have to call CenterPoint, then he changed it back to they would call me, all the while telling me its not SME’s fault. SME handled ALL of the paperwork and approvals, go figure, where’s the QC. 13. On June 10, 2022, I emailed Jonathan with CenterPoint with questions, still waiting on a response.

Thanks Solar SME for helping me be part of the solar community. It was a pleasure to work with everyone from pre sales (Ray), project management (Rick) and installers (DJ) to get here through all hurdles. I am very pleased.

Good company

Our solar project just completed about a week ago. So far, everything is working as it should. I got a bunch of proposals on energy sage and Solar SME was definitely the most responsive to questions and inquiries. Some others were harder to get a hold of or took longer than promised to respond. The entire project took just a little longer than predicted, and there were a few minor hiccups along the way, but nothing that wasn't sorted out in the end. Our project manager was Denis Lee, who was very responsive during the entire project.

Stands behind their systems!

Solar SME designed and installed my solar system in 2018. They provided incredible service and unbelievable value. Unfortunately after three years my SolarEdge inverter stopped working… this was the moment of truth where we would see whether the lofty warranties were worth the paper they were printed on… I have to applaud Basem Yani for his exemplary service. Within 24 hours of the inverter failing Solar SME had filed a claim with SolarEdge and received an RMA! And within two weeks the replacement inverter had arrived at my house. Basem was in touch with Frank (technician) who had a team member at my house within a few hours of the inverter arriving. My mind is blown —I can imagine a company doing what’s right, efficiently and effectively, when I am about to pay them thousands of dollars— however, I am in awe when a company stands behind their product years later. Basem’s white glove support was the embodiment of my top-notch SolarSME experience. This company did a great job, and I really appreciate how professionally run Technical Support/Compliance is.

Inverter error after electrical storm

Unable to contact my project mgr after many calls and msgs. Finally called operations at main office in Duncanville and was put in contact with Basem Yani. My inverter had an error msg and shut down so no solar panels and no batteries. Basem jumped right into the problem, he contacted Generac and if they couldn't correct the problem remotely he was going to send an on site team. Generac was able to correct the problem but Basem contacted me frequently as the problem was being resolved. Basem contacted me numerous times after everything was working correctly. It is a good feeling knowing you have people like Basem working for you. My thoughts are you need to put Basen Yani in charge of customer service, he is an asset to your company and we as customers need him.

Long process - but very good results

Purchased in November. Completed in late April. Raffy kept me updated all along the way. Even when install was complete, we weren't satisfied with the exposed wiring. Raffy worked with the installers and they took care of it. We're up and running now with no issues. Thanks!

Amazing customer service and experience!

I cannot say enough good things about Solar SME. The process from start to finish as been excellent. After our installation was completed, Basem reached out to me to address some issues I was experiencing with my system. Now the system is generating full power as planned.
