Great Experience, Great Performance

After reviewing several installers, I chose SPP because they had good reviews and reasonable contract terms. Most installers had draconian term that I just couldn't accept. It was a great experience. The communication was great. Staff was quick to respond to questions and kept me informed of the schedule and provided me an opportunity to review the design. Everybody was well- qualified at their job. They had a good handle on how the utility company and city building department worked. The application process proceeded without a glitch. The whole process moved quicker than expected. My system was in full operation weeks before I had planned. They installed a SolarEdge inverter and optimizers. This ensures that each panel always produces as much as it can, while the output of a simple series system would have limited output of each panel to the lowest performing panel in the series. The SolarEdge monitoring platform allowed me to look at the output of the whole system and panels individually to verify performance initially and over the years. Update: It’s been 4 1/2 month since my system was installed. My system is still performing great. I’ve been easily able to monitor the performance of my system on the SolarEdge web site. So far, it has produced more electricity than I have used., leaving me to pay only the utility service charge each month. I expect that to change on into the Winter, but the credit I've been building should cover most of the deficit until strong sunlight returns in the Spring.

Great company to work with and they stand by their word

I used Solar Power Pros for my moderately complex 11.9 kW solar system design and install. I highly recommend them because they took the time to build a detailed ROI calculator based on my requirements, their project mangers kept me in the loop at every stage of the project, and their installers showed up on time and hustled to get my job done. There were a couple of minor problems hiccups that they quickly resolved and there was a miss on the performance guarantee, but they made me whole. I would unhesitantly do business with them again.

Quality and Value

We have used Solar Power Pros for solar at 2 different homes. I did comprehensive comparisons vs at least 10 solar companies and chose Solar Power Pros overall. The quality of solar panels, inverter, and their guarantee made them the best choice. They delivered, as scheduled, high quality installation and great support. No complaints after 6 years of continuous use.

Disorganized, slow and confused

Bottom line up front: What was supposed to take 1 week (2 at the most) to install turned into over 2 months before my system became operational. Everyone was nice and friendly but it became very obvious early on that the teams really didn't know what they were doing. Delays in getting people to the worksite and then having the panes and equipment stored in my garage for weeks only for them to discover that no one ever bothered to inventory what they brought and they needed to order additional parts. Workers and inspectors showed up at random and no one seemed to be in overall charge. Information was not pushed to me. I had to constantly track down the so called project manager (whom I never met in person) just to find out what was going on. To date, despite my requests, I have no instruction or owner's manuals for anything that was installed. The only thing that was on time during this whole project was getting billed. I am still holding on to my final payment until they replace a battery cover that I watched them drop then try to hammer back out. At the rate this is going it could take another month or more.

Great Solar Installer for Colorado area

After shopping around with some larger companies, Solar Power Pros offered the best quality of solar panels and equipment for our region (hot summer (UV breakdown) and cold winter, snow loading and hail impact resistance) at a competitive price and offered a veterans discount on top. The service from the sales to billing and customer service all the way to job manager and installation crew did a great job and we’re on time, non intrusive and cleaned up after. We had a few go backs due to county inspectors wanting to remove panels to see optimizers, but the crew came out quickly and handled that all directly. And when the utility power company was late on installing a digital meter, Solar Power Pros did the legwork on calling and emailing to get priority for me. Overall a great experience and would definitely recommend them if your in the Colorado area that they support.

Large residential solar install

I reviewed all Colorado based residential solar power installers and received quotes from six. After long discussions with each, I selected Solar Power Pros based on their proposed design, experience working with my electric company (IREA), company profile and lastly, price. The design and install were more complicated than normal as the system provides power to two separate buildings (solar panels only on one building though) and both buildings are also connected to a backup generator. The process for me was completely effortless. The most difficult thing I had to do was open my garage door for so they could install some of the electronics inside as I requested. Their whole team was very communicative keeping me informed of the progress every step of the way. I can't think of anything they need to improve in their process. I give them my highest recommendation.

Wonderful experience

In May 2019 Solar Power Pros installed my system and I was impressed that they submitted all of the paperwork to the local Colorado Springs Utilities to arrange for me to have net-metering. All I had to do was fill out some electronic forms emailed to me. They also arranged for the inspections and meter change (to support net-metering). I'd originally got quotes from 8 solar companies and only 3 ever called me back and only one, Solar Power Pros, had the best price. They also had the best reviews on BBB, here on solarreviews, Google reviews and Yelp. The installation went smoothly and quickly and within 1 week of the panel installation, the new meter to CSU was installed and I was generating power. I'd recommend Solar Power Pros to you.

Excellent experience working with Solar Power

We recently had solar panels installed in our house by Solar Power Pros. Overall we had an excellent experience with them. The whole team was very professional, responsive and helpful. The entire process went on very smoothly even during these COVID-19 trying times. A special thanks to Raul with whom we interacted in person the most. Best value and great service

We got over a dozen quotes from solar installation companies of various sizes. Solar Power Pros was the best value by far. In fact, they were such an outlier, we did a substantial amount of research to make sure we weren't missing anything. Installation and performance over the last 2 years of the system were as promised. Of course, what was right for us might not be for you, and the available products may have changed over the last few years. So get your quotes and do your research, but make sure you talk to Solar Power Pros.

My experience with Solar power pros was so great. They were very helpful from start to finish, went out of their way to work with my schedule and did a great job talking me through the system. They helped me a second time after a hail claim with a detach and reattach of my solar panels, another awesome experience! I can’t say enough great thing about this top notch company! Great Group of Pros to work with.

I have had my system for 3 years now, and it is performing right up to specifications. It was installed in an extremely professional manner and right on time. When I needed a new roof, the Pros came over and removed the existing system, and then replaced it once the roof was replaced. They charged a very reasonable fee for this service and I could not be happier that I did choose them to install my system. Recently I needed copies of the warranty information, and they emailed it to me in less than a day. Very professional group in every way.

Product is good, sales people not so much

Let me first say I am pleased with the purchase. Now the downsides, we were first misled with the pricing of everything and the federal rebate that came with this was sold as I will be getting x amount back and I can put that into the loan. This was NOT true, the tax credit just lowered the amount of taxes that were taken out. So, in my situation they said I would get 9k back and could just pay down the loan, what happened was that 9k lowered my taxes by 9k netting me a couple hundred bucks, far cry from 9k. Secondly, we had our car throw a rod the same week we signed. I asked if we could cancel this and then resign when we purchased the new car as having a solar loan AND a car loan was going to severely hinder us. I was told no unless I want to pay a 5000$ cancellation fee. So even though I wanted the product and just push it a couple months to get out car inline they decided that this needed to happen now. Like I started with, I love that we have solar and I love the product but the process is terrible and I don't suggest this company to anyone.

Great Work on a Difficult Job

We had a large ground mounted and roof mounted arrays. A very difficult installation. There were a few issues with the trenching but they took care of everything and get it done. Great to work with. Would definitely recommend.

Top Notch Company

We recently had solar installed by Solar Power Pros. They were fantastic from start to end. They undercut the competition in price while offering hands down the best product. They listened to what we wanted in a system, which most other companies downplayed. The installation was on time and everyone involved was courteous and thorough. They also never solicited a review from us, something other companies said they would do in return for a discount. I would definitely recommend using this company! There is a good reason they have all five star reviews. They deserve it.

I reviewed five solar providers, selected Solar Power Pros, and can't believe how great that choice was. They clearly explained my solar needs based upon energy usage history, provided a panel layout that was customized to my roof's ability to generate maximum solar power, coordinated and executed installation flawlessly, and were the most efficient/interpersonal team of people I've ever contracted with.
