Same Sun. More Power. Since 2006, Solaflect has developed, manufactured and installed high efficiency tracker mounted photovoltaic solar panels for customers in Vermont, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts. Our revolutionary solar tracker suspension design can reduce steel use (and therefore cost) by over 65%. Unlike static solar panels, a tracker follows the sun across the sky in two axis, generating up to 40% more renewable power than a similar sized traditional static solar panel array. Solaflect was founded in 2006 by Bill Bender, and development of the Solaflect suspension pv solar tracker was funded in part by two $1 million awards from the Department of Energy’s SunShot program. We build all our solar trackers in Norwich, VT, using major suppliers in St. Johnsbury and Springfield, VT.

Started Great, Fading Since
We purchased a tracker in their community solar project a couple years before the pandemic. All was great at first; the tracker generated the amount of electricity promised. (The contract delivers 80% of the electricity to the customer, and the company keeps 20% to cover costs of maintenance, insurance, taxes, etc.) The amount began to slide a little during the pandemic, and has been in steady decline ever since. At this point, we are getting well under half of the amount generated during those first years. No explanation has been forthcoming, but I suspect (based on viewing the array on Google Earth) that the problem is a lack of maintenance.
