SBS Solar

SBS Solar was fantastic all the way around. Forrest was always quick to reply and very knowledgeable, the install team was incredibly fast and did a great job. Their whole team was easy to work with and made the whole process easy. I called pretty much every solar company around, as well as exploring DIY options and SBS was hands down the best option. They were the most knowledgeable and somehow the lowest cost. I’m thrilled with the system and its output, not having to deal with all the power company paperwork and the stress free process. Everyone was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, I would give them more stars if I could!

We had a great experience working with SBS Solar. From the first meeting through the final installation, they were punctual, professional, and kept us informed every step of the way. They took the time to answer our questions, explained everything clearly, and made what could have been a complicated process feel easy. We couldn't be happier with our experience and would highly recommend SBS Solar to anyone considering making the switch to solar!

The SBS team was great to work with, extremely communicative and made the process very easy. They took into consideration all of our needs and the installation team took great care. Would recommend!

Produced 463kWh since April with 9 panels! The entire team at SBS treated us with kindness and professionalism. So grateful for their fair and honest service!

I first met Ralph when I had to answer a question for a client of mine for whom SBS had installed solar panels. Ralph was so helpful in getting me to an answer that I was impressed with this company's customer service. Then some friends and family had SBS do their solar install and were quite happy. When it came time to do my own place, I called Ralph and discussed how it would go. I was so impressed I didn't get any other quotes. The execution of the job was done very timely and very well, both at my site and in communications with the office staff. I am delighted to have met SBS and would recommend them to anyone considering getting solar panels.

Outstanding

SBS in Missoula, Montana was simply outstanding in all respects! They were prompt, knowledgeable, friendly and did great work. I want to particularly single out Josh, our sales rep for his friendliness and helpfulness. Also Ty and the rest of his crew just did a super job. Again very friendly, worked diligently and carefully. I would have to say SBS Solar was one of the best if not the very best experiences we have had working with a company.

SBS Solar Sales and Installation

We are thrilled with SBS Solar and our new solar panel project. Josh, our Salesman, laid out the costs and benefits in an easy to understand manner. Spring is a very busy time of year for solar installation but Josh kept us appraised of their schedule so we were available. Suzie, the SBS Administrative Coordinator was superb to work with. She cheerfully answered any of our questions and worked with us to make the payment documentation very clear. The SBS installation staff worked thru some WIFI challenges to enable us to monitor the panels and production. We were very pleased with every phase of the installation.

Excellent service and product!

We got three bids for our solar system and SBS was, by far, the superior choice -- in terms of pricing, professionalism, and reliability. We are extremely happy with the system they installed for us. The staff was communicative, knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend SBS for your solar needs.

SBS Solar did a phenomenal job on our solar installation. The detailed bid was reasonable and thousands less (even with 8 more panels) than the bid from a national solar chain that just opened shop in state. The installation crew was remarkably efficient and professional. The system is working great, usually generating more than 50 kilowatt hours a day. I can't recommend SBS any higher.

Friendly, informative, and efficient

My husband and I have talked about getting solar power for years. With the local power company constantly raising rates and favoring fossil fuels, we thought it was time. In 2024, we received two company bids. The estimate from SDS was a whopping $10,000 below the other vendor. While an explanation of cost differences made sense, we opted for the lower bid because our age (70;s) may preclude us from ever recouping our cost. Our location in Montana does not promise huge solar gains, but we feel like it is the right thing to do.

Very Professional. Excellent Service

From sales, to installers, to administrative assistance, everyone at SBS Solar was very professional and very helpful. They kept the process on track and handled all the required paperwork. The solar panels look great and they are working great. I am so happy I went with SBS Solar.

Very Good Experience

From start to finish we have been very pleased with SBS. Josh has been available to answer all of our questions and to make sure everything is running smoothly. We have had a good experience with SBS and would recommend them to others without hesitation.

Outstanding Solar Installation and Service!

SBS Solar provided exceptional service installing our new solar system! The team was professional, courteous, and demonstrated great expertise. They were attentive to our needs and ensured everything was set up perfectly. The system is working flawlessly, and we’re delighted with the quality and reliability. Highly recommend SBS Solar for anyone looking to go solar!

Job well done!

Installation was a bit ahead of schedule and the work was done quickly and professionally. The explanation of the process and operation were complete and clear.

SBS was communicative and easy to work with for our home solar install. Everyone we interacted with from the company was helpful and well-informed. We would happily recommend them to others considering a home solar system.

SBS Solar just GLOWS

This expert team handled every angle of my solar project starting immediately when I contacted them. Their strength lies in dedicating knowledgeable people to each step, or task, involved in the process. Quick response initially, and for all subsequent questions and projects. Excellent communication from day one and as the project progressed. Required paperwork and permits were handled by SBS staff, with minimum time involvement on my part, and they were able to achieve an incredibly quick turnaround time. SBS got to the install 3 weeks BEFORE scheduled. All staff is friendly and approachable. I really appreciate all their hard work and so happy to have my system up and running!

Roof-top Solar Panels

SBS Solar was an easy company to work with. There was a lot of communication. The job was done early and all is running well. I like that they monitor its performance to make sure it is up to specs.

A Happy Customer

Very professional from first contact through installation and system start. Everyone I met was friendly, professional, and helpful. Willing to answer all questions. Phone app is very useful and informative. I am very happy with the process and company.

Terrific experience!

Working with SBS Solar was an excellent experience. From the thorough evaluation of our site to the timely installation, this company could not have be more efficient, professional and pleasant to work with. I highly recommend SBS Solar. This is a great company to work with and we are very pleased with our solar panels.

We're very pleased!

We used SBS Solar for our solar installation. From design through installation and go live the process was seamless. We were well informed, updated on progress and now the final result is as promised. We received our first bill from Northwestern Energy and we out produced utilization in the month of April. Given the current agenda of power generation by Northwestern Energy in our state which is doubling down on coal and natural gas along with promises of significant rate increase coupled with the current 30% federal tax credit we couldn't be happier in our decision to go solar. Based on current energy costs I believe the break even point will be around 7 1/2 years but with planned rate increases I suspect the time line will be shorter. With a 30 year warranty on the panels, 25 yrs on the optimizers and 12 yrs on the inverter it seems like a no brainer. Special thanks goes out to Josh, Ralph, Suzie, Flynt, Ty and everyone else who helped us out!

Fantastic People

We had a great experience working with SBS Solar from the initial estimate, to all the questions we kept asking, to install. Everyone, through the process, was easy to work with. We are happy with the whole experience.

SBS did a great job. Once they started on the project, it went very quickly and with no serious problems. It took a while to get the wifi module working with our wifi, but they got that done and I am having fun monitoring. Everyone at SBS was proactive in reaching out to me about the next step and they made the permitting process as easy as can be. Overall, they are an efficient and friendly group and I am completely happy with the system and the service at this point. Thanks, SBS!

Great Client Service

They always answered my questions quickly and they were happy to work with us to help us figure out financing. They have the process well put together and they made getting the net metering agreement from Northwestern Energy easy. I can't say enough good things about their installation crew. Always made time to talk with me about what they were doing and the did their work fast. You won't regret choosing SBS Solar.

SBS Solar Home Installation

It’s hard to find enough good things to say about SBS. They were communicative, on time, efficient and pleasant. The workers cleaned up after themselves, patiently explained things and obviously knew what they were doing. It was great to have them deal with all the permits and paperwork as well as the installation.

SBS Solar is top notch!

I highly recommend SBS Solar! Over the past year, I was part of a team at Missoula 1st United Methodist Church that worked with SBS to install solar panels atop our 100-year-old building. Everyone at SBS was so generous with their time and expertise, patient with our many questions, and knowledgeable about all things solar and fundraising and grant-writing. We could not have done this project without the great crew at SBS Solar! Many, many thanks to general manager Ralph Walters, Suzie Gerlinger and Jaime Rauch in the SBS office, and the amazing installation crew who spent a week at the church, installing the 66-panel array. And they continue to monitor and tweak the system -- and to answer our questions. We're generating electricity with the sun, and are very grateful to SBS Solar for helping us do the right thing to help Missoula reach 100% clean electricity! Thank you!

Professional and competitive

I shopped around and got four or five quotes. SBS had the lowest cost, the soonest install, and a great estimate of electric coverage for the planned panels. The install took two mornings and the rest was waiting on energy provider to get the rest setup. Everything was taken care of for me and I just had to be available to let people onto the property. Friendly, professional, and good quality (so far). They even set me up with an app to monitor the production of the panels :D

Great experience from beginning to end.

SBS Solar's performance in designing, organizing and installing our solar system was absolutely flawless. Their communication is outstanding and their staff is talented and delightful to work with. This is one of the finest experiences with a major home project that we have had in nearly 50 years of owning homes. And SBS Solar completed the project nearly two months ahead of the date originally scheduled! I really cannot praise them too much.

Our second SBS Solar Install

We are so happy with the work SBS Solar did on our first Solar array that we went back to them for a second solar system. Professional, easy to work with, and timely installation was important to us and they again hit the mark. We highly recommend SBS Solar!

They made it easy!

Great communication and a job well done! We love how easy they made it to install solar on our home, and they pointed us in the direction of great financial resources to help fund our project.

Photovoltaic kudos to SBS Solar!

We are very pleased with our new solar system. Ralph and the SBS crew were highly professional, friendly, and helpful. The installation went in even more quickly than we expected and, even with NW Energy's part, we went live within a week or so. We highly recommend SBS Solar! If you've been on the fence about installing panels, take our word and go for it!
