The team from sandbox that did our solar panel installation was great. Wyatt let us know everything that was going to happen, and did the electric work on the ground. Tony and his team on the roof were fantastic. Tony even painted the conduit on the roof and the wall to match. It looks great.

So grateful for Sanbox Solar and their team for helping me with my solar panels! I needed new inverters and a critter guard installed, and they fit me in quickly as a new customer! It's obvious how much pride they take in their work. The customer service is fantastic, and their technicians are amazing. Highly recommend!

Sandbox Solar has gone above and beyond in every aspect of my solar project! Justin in sales had great communication and absolutely no pressure and explained each option with the pros and cons to each. Ryan on the electrical install crew and Bradly with the purple team who Indy talked the panels. Both Ryan and Bradley were respectful of my property and time, working around my schedule. When it comes time for the heat pump, Sandbox will be my company!

Ryan did a very clean install and connected all parts of the project, heat pump, new panels, and Powerwall 3. He was very helpful in explaining system and replacing drywall. I am pleased with his work, Gerry Hunt

Sandbox Solar installed a new heat pump in my house in December 2025. They got it scheduled and done on a tight timeline before the end of the year to capture the rebates. Justin and Jason provided good information and support to answer all my questions and "right-size" the best system for my house. The installers Tyler and Rowan did a fantastic job with the installation. They were knowledgeable, respectful, careful and thorough inside (and outside) my house and let me know what was happening every step of the way. They trained me on the operation and settings on the new thermostat. I am so happy with this new system which can heat and cool my home! I used Sandbox Solar several years ago to install solar panels and had a great experience then, so I knew I wanted to have them do the heat pump. I recommend them highly and always prefer to use a local company if possible.

I was doing my own research on solar and found Sandbox Solar, though it took me a couple of years to make it work, I chose them. No pushy marketing or bashing the competition, just good information for the sale. When installation time came around the crews were professional, safe, thorough, and did a great job! Full marks for the sales and installation/electrical teams.

Install went fabulously

As far as I can see, the crew did a lovely job on both electrical set up and install of panels. They were nice and efficient and competent and informative. They went out of their way to do a good job AND make it look tidy and clean. It took a while to get the install scheduled, but once it was on the docket things have gone smoothly. I can't wait to pass inspection and get the juice turned on!

An excellent company to work with!

I had a fantastic experience with Sandbox Solar installing my PV system. From my project assistant, Casandra, to John’s and Wyatt’s hardware and electrical installation teams, respectively, all were hardworking, and super friendly!! They did a bang-up job of guiding me through both the installation process and the actual installation itself.

Great experience with Sandbox Solar

Sandbox Solar did a relatively small home solar with battery installation for me. I interacted with a number of their employees, from salesman to office support to electricians, etc. and they were all very helpful and friendly. I met them through a Denver solar community program. The price I got, with the rebates, was quite good. It took longer than I had expected, but that was due to waiting for permits, inspections, and mostly Xcel to do their 'thing'. There was a miscommunication on one of the rebates, but the company made good on it right away. They were honest, always showed up on time, did an impeccable job, and were great to work with. Very happy with them.

The crew that did our install was top notch!! Courteous, knowledgeable and hard working! They showed up on time and were done when they said they would be! Good job Jessie and crew!!

Great Install from Sandbox Solar

Just finished up my solar installation and turn on from Sandbox Solar - it has been a wonderful and issue free process from start to finish. The whole team has been great to work with, from Andrew with the initial evaluation and proposal, to Efa coordinating the whole process, Cavin and his team doing the install over 2 days, and Tyler handling the electric work. All the details of the install were handled easily by the team - from the solar panel installs, to the electric work, to painting the hardware matching colors. The team knew exactly what they needed to do for all aspects of the install, and it was impressive seeing them doing the coordinated work. The paperwork and inspections with the city were problem free, and the system was turned on within just a few days after the install completed.

Sandbox Solar - By far best resource for PV system

We installed a Solaron solar hot air panel system in our home in the 1970s with great results, so wanted to continue the tradition with photovoltaic / PV system given the 26% tax credit (now back to 30% for 2022) incentive. We used the EnergySage resource as a starting point; educational and provides contact information for solar PV companies. We were contacted by 7 different companies with service in the northern Coloraodo area, interviewed with each, and asked for estimates. All but Sandbox Solar pushed us hard (sales pitch) to sign a contract. By contrast, Sandbox (Justin Wojtarowicz) carefully answered our questions and waited for our response each time. We agreed on a 26 panel system that will provide all of our annual use back to the grid, with extra margin for an electric car charging system in the future. The installation crew was super efficient, finishing the installation in a day with "critter guards" and reloaction of the panels above some existing snow guards already on the roof. They installed the panels in the "landscape" orientation instead of "portrait" to allow the snow guards to be effective in breaking up snow sliding from the PV panels. You must be patient with the process - it took our electric provider more than a month to approve the interconnect and meter to allow us to push unused capacity back to the grid. Given that the recent Federal incentive has been increased from 26% back to 30%, the wait did prove beneficial all things considered. Overall, we have had a great experience with Sandbox Solar and would recommend their services without hesitation. We'll update this review with actual PV performance once we have several months of connection data.

5 star awesome!

Sandbox Solar is 5 star awesome! Such great people to work with. Very professional and knows exactly what they are doing and how to navigate the permits, HOAs, etc. Super clean install and kept my yard looking impeccable during the install. The price was the price. There were no surprises. They are transparent about the price and process. I highly recommend them!!

Most personable solar company on the front range

My wife and I had about eight bids from different Colorado solar companies. Everyone we dealt with was nice, accommodating, and excited to help a small family go solar. However, when we met Ian and AJ at Sandbox Solar, we new who we were going to contract for our smaller project. They not only had the best price for our needs with the most kilowatts of sunshine, they were always clear about their installation deadlines, they handled all the permitting with the city of Longmont, and they built in an extra cool monitoring service which we access with our phones. The panels they used were super high quality–the same panels used by Namaste Solar–and Sandbox has stayed in touch to make sure our system continues to work properly. If you’re considering solar, Sandbox is one of your best choices. They’re a small company, which means you’ll get one-to-one treatment with the owners of the company and clear, concise facts about the system that will best fit your energy needs.

Sandbox Solar did a great job installing my home solar system. They systematically discussed what I would want and need, installed it in the time frame they promised, and for the price they promised. They also obtained all the necessary permits for the installation (HOA, City and electric company) for me. Ian and AJ were consistently thoughtful and reliable partners in working with me.
