Comedy of errors lasting 9 months

Where do I begin? I had to be the one contacting the township to complete certifications, several months of frequent community with PECO and they didn’t even follow their own schematics for install requiring multiple calls between our electrician and them. They drilled into the WRONG SIDE of my metal roof and left open misdrilled holes under panels on the correct side. They cut my neighbors bushes without permission, left so much trash & entered my garage without permission when we were away. Our system wasn’t functional until July after signing the contract 9/25. Save yourself the hassle and choose another company!

Renu installed our solar panels several years ago, prior to install that also did some work on the roof. The roof started leaking after a year, we also started to have issues with the solar panels not functioning. They do not respond to emails or phone calls. I have no idea how they are still in business. When we had our roof replaced this summer, we got three quotes for the solar panels to be removed and replaced. Renu was the most expensive. We found a solar company local to Lancaster county, they are absolutely amazing, so glad to have the stress Renu caused behind us. Do your homework!!!!!

These guys were fantastic. They composed a plan and worked the plan. The Job was completed in two days, due to rain. Now that the panels have been installed I'm on waiting for BG&E Inspection and I'm hoping that doesn't take all of three weeks to complete and me up and running. Also, my representative and I spoke of finders fees, back to me if/when I'm successful in selling my neighbors, family and friends( no one has solar in my block or surroundings).If all goes as promised my bragging will close deals for RENU SOLAR AND I'LL BE CONPENSATED

I am a new solar panel customer, and I had questions about my billing. I was told that someone would get back to me after they had a chance to review my bill. When they called back, they explain in detail their billing and how my billing with PP&L will work in a way that I can now understand how I will see my saving with my electric bill. I am really impressed with the time they took to make sure I understood everything. I am happy with the service I received from them. I was also very impressed with the way they keep me informed with the installation of the solar panels. I received a text from the project manager with every new step right up to the final hookup of my panels to the electric gride with PP&L. I feel like I pick a good company to work with.

Sales people are dishonest Supervisors are unethical Terrible company.

Buyer Beware

Finally getting a new skylight that ReNu put in BACKWARDS and then came out to fix it when I had a small river running from it a few days later. Though they never did fix it and it still leaked during heavy rain. When I called to address it they lied and said they never put it in. So when you put my roof on (probably don't have a record of that either) you didn't notice it was backwards? Now I have pictures and proof of the extensive damage you caused. See you in court

Sonny is amazing. They do their own installs and don't subcontract any other work. They offer a PPA loan and also a 25-year rate lock

Company reps keep calling me (and thousands of other homeowners)

ReNu Solar has called me more than 40 times in the past month even though I'm on the federal DO NOT CALL list. They sometimes use the name American Solar on their solicitation calls, but when the solicitor connects you with the actual sales rep, you'll learn that Renu Solar is behind the calls. (Legitimate companies respect the DO NOT CALL list.) Renu Solar is in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. I'll be pursuing a civil judgement against them for violating the TCPA ($500 per violation) and I will be asking the PA District Attorney to file criminal charges against them for repeated harassing phone calls.

poor service

poor service from the start, couldn't pass electrical inspection the first time, they could not get the panels to work the first time. as of today, still waiting on the company to complete their agreed contract with us. never call ed they started to get paid for the panels even before they were working, we paid the panel company 2 to 3 months before they got them to work, thank you please choose another company for your solar needs,

No customer service

It has been a week since I sent the last pictures of my solar inverters. What is going on with my system? More than half is dead. I’m paying the loan on this but receiving no benefit. My electric bill is much higher. If there is something wrong with the system, I want it fixed and fixed now. I have to ask to get a f**king update! Where is your company’s customer service?

Product Good / Customer Service Bad

I had Renu install my solar system installed in December of 2022, up and running early 2023. I am very happy with how the system operates, everything is as expected there, On the customer service side though, when we signed our contact in July of 2022, we paid extra to have a tree that is blocking part of our panels trimmed back to maximize sunlight. Now, in October of 2023 we have not gotten the tree trimmed as promised. I have made several attempts to work this out with my project manager, but nothing has happened. Based on the modeling done by the salesperson, this has cost me a moderate amount of solar generation this summer. I am very disappointed in how I have been treated by them, and for that reason alone I would not recommend them.

Super Nice Salesperson

I was very pleased with the presentation that my salesman, Michael Lieberman, made. He has made the whole process pleasant and has been able to answer all of my questions. So far, I have been impressed with Michael's willingness to stay in touch and keep me informed of the progress of my solar project.

I love my solar panels

I looked into getting solar panels for a long time. After much research and many quotes I finally pulled the trigger with Renu Solar and Roofing. The entire team did a great job, they really made me feel comfortable throughout the whole process. Panels work great, saving money every month, and best part didn't cost me anything out of pocket.
