Accused me of keying his truck after he read my bumper sticker on my truck , it said "Quanon- multi generational defect caused by the bad acid at Woodstock!", my guess, after reading some of the reviews of him is that maybe one or both of his relatives, and even maybe, that is where he was concieved, ,and he took offense to my bumper sticker cause right after he read it it popped up and said to me that he hadn't got a covid vaccination and didn't believe in it, which I thought to myself, ooooh k, and then asked me if I had gotten my vaccination which I replied yes. Which then a few days later when I returned to finish my work, I had to leave because he wanted to fight me, he kept on telling me he was a being a nice guy and to "get the f out of there. I was 66 at that time and he was 52, if I was his age there would have been a fight but it takes to long to recover from injury after you get older so I left, but I did hear 1 of his employee's ask another one " what the hell is he doing " and then when one of the younger guys that worked for the company I worked for went to the job to confront him the 2 guys that where wondering what he was doing at the time he was telling me how nice a guy he was apologized to him for the crap their boss had given me, good thing Ryan wasn't there, the young man who went looking for him was a local boy and, well let's say it wouldn't have ended up well for Mr Nice Guy. Maybe that's why he's left the state, because he threatened many older people and the younger friends wanted him to be taught how to respect others. All this happened in 2021, so believe what you read about this wanna be 52 yr old high school bully, maybe he was deservent of his rating years ago but the last most recent reviews show and tell of his work and personality. Beware of this guy if he ever comes back!

Consumer beware. Company does not warranty their product. They lie and are very unprofessional. DO NOT BELIEVE WHAT THEY TELL YOU! This man Ryan and his partners are pathological liars. I do not say this lightly.

You will regret hiring Ryan Thompson and his company Prosolar. This was the worst contractor I have ever hired. Please read ALL previous reviews on all different sources to get a good idea of his MO. (This review serves both a sincere warning to others, but also a way for me to heal as a result of this nightmare). Once he gets his money from you, good luck on getting replies back, or completion of the process. You are no longer important. I promise, so prepare yourself. But it gets much worse. There were many red flags. He emailed me a bill for the electrical plan, which was to be included in total cost (which it was). He says it was a mistake. Today I question whether it was incompetence, or a deliberate attempt to gain from the unsuspecting. When he finally showed up to install panels. He didn’t have the right amount of panels. I reminded him of the math (x amount of kw = x amount of panels). He told he had to go back a get a couple of more panels. Once on site, the home owner is subjected to unrequested/unsolicited bizarre rants about anti-Covid vaccine, apocalypse, etc. You will be subjected to bizarre texts of his delusional thoughts of a ‘John Collins’, inappropriate partners with you while you are texting him, random pics of jam/other foods. If you call him in the evening he will be very angry and yell at you, while you want answers of why the solar app is showing no generation of power. At initial inspection time by the County, Ryan Thompson show more suspicious behavior as he had to arrive earlier than inspector to remove item. Then when inspector departed, he removed the new item and put his old item back on. Suspicious. BTW. He is not capable of articulating, so don’t bother asking him. He never showed up for the final Hawaii Electric inspection. Apparently he has a horrible reputation with them also. Inspector told me Ryan Thompson to several home owners to meet the inspector at a given time, not intending to show at any of them. He is the childhood bully in a man’s body. Beware.

I worked with Danny and Ryan two years ago, and I am still a satisfied customer. The install was painless, and Ryan's crew was very courteous and left the work site clean. Over the years I have had to call Ryan on somethings that I thought were issues with the system. He responded quickly and walked me through troubleshooting the problem. Turns out I was not utilizing the system correctly. I have friends that have used other solar companies and it takes weeks for them to reply. I am extremely happy with the choice I made to use ProSolar Hawaii.

Highly recommend Ryan and his crew at ProSolar Hawaii for any solar panel system size. I first spoke with Danny from ProSolar at a home show in the Sheraton in March, and I was pleasantly surprised by the cost of the system and the Helco electricity savings the system can provide. From start to finish, they are all absolutely great to work with -they handled all the permits, all of the government and Helco processes and procedures, they made the whole process so easy for me. The system is fully installed now, and it is working great. I would recommend anyone who is thinking about going solar contact Danny or Ryan at Prosolar, you will not regret it. They have the best service and the best pricing for an investment as important as solar power is for a home. They really are the best at what they do. Ryan and his crew were great! They worked really hard to get our system installed and functional before the end of the year for our tax break. They have been super responsive and helpful taking care of some minor remaining issues. The system is running great and producing power at or greater than the estimates. We are very happy with the result and we are recommending ProSolar without hesitation. Best price, best service!

Ryan and his crew gave me everything they promised. High quality panels, with a 10k battery. Installation went smoothly. The best part is our huge savings on our first electric bill! I look forward to opening our Hawaii Electric Light bill now.

This installation ending up being far from simple. Seeming straight forward at the onset but found many obstacles that Ryan and his team dealt with and came out shining! I am grateful for all the engineering ingenuity and patience. We are very happy with our NEM + system.

ProSolar Hawaii installed our system in Dec 2016 and it has worked flawlessly until this year when a microinverter failed. (The rest of the array stayed up with no issues.) They got the new one ordered and did the installation within a week of its delivery. Everything is up and running again and the service crew was excellent. Ryan did the final updates today and the website and phone app show everything is working properly. Good job.

Ryan and the ProSolar team went out of their way to make sure that our installation was done correctly and on time. Our installation was not normal and required some different types of mounts. We are so appreciative that they went the extra mile for us and got the installation complete by the end of the year. Having had the system up for six months, we are extremely pleased with the output of the system and the complete lack of problems. Thanks ProSolar.

Pro solar Hawaii salesman did a complete review of our electric usage and designed a system that fit our needs. He showed us options and explained the pros and cons of each. Their prices were very competitive and Ryan and his crew did an expert installation that passed all inspections with no problems. Highly recommend.

It took some patience going through HELCO and the permitting process but after all that got done the actual installation was done quickly. We are thrilled with the reduction in HELCO rates :-)

Just got my panels set up in a very timely fashion. Once the state approved the permit they came the following day I requested. I like to get the best bang from my buck so I compared four solar companies before working with Ryan and John at ProSolar Hawaii. Not only were they the most affordable but they provided me 6 additional panels and still were cheaper than the 14 panels I was looking at with the other three companies. Going to most likely get A/C for next summer and am totally going to use their services again when I do. Great crew, great customer service, great value! When companies like this exist there really isn't any reason not to go solar. If you can afford electricity than you can afford solar through ProSolar Hawaii. Thanks guys!!!! Great experience!

Ryan and his crew did a great job for my wife and I. A total of 33 panels and aside from one inverter failure that was repaired, no problems whatsoever. I recommend Pro Solar Hawaii to my friends and family whenever asked.

ProSolar Hawaii in not just a solar company, it's a person. From the moment I contacted ProSolar Hawaii back in 2013 I was doing business with a real person, not a company. Ryan Thomson personally handled all the calls I made and all the many details involved with the materials and installation. He alleviated all my concerns and completed the installation in a timely manner. Dealing with one person through the entire process provided the satisfaction needed through the whole experience. I just recently encountered a microinverter that was not reporting and this morning I called Ryan. He asked me for the number on the back of the Envoy that monitors panels and called me back short time later. He had already reported the problem to Enphase and they had already sent me an email telling me that it was covered by warranty and would be shipped to me. Ryan told me to call him when it arrived via FedEx and he would come and install it ASAP. He also said he would replace the wireless bridge that connects my internet to the Envoy monitor. I have been completely satisfied with Ryan and ProSolar Hawaii up to this point.

I received a quote from three different vendors in Kailua-Kona Hawaii. ProSolar was the best quote for price AND utility, meaning I got a system that was the best for what I wanted to do. My system has solar panels and batteries so that I can run independently and put power back on the grid. My payback is less than 6 years. ProSolar installed 250 panels at Kuakini Power Storage , they did an excellent job, courtesy, friendly, finished in a timely manner. Save lots of money now. Would highly recommend them

Our experience with Prosolar Hawaii was excellent. Although there was some delay beginning the install,much of that can be chalked up to Hawaiian Electric and financing processes. Once Ryan and his team were ready to go, they got after it and had the system in place and operating in about a week. My first full months electric bill was down from over $400.00 to just $21.00! I have called Ryan several times with questions since the install and he always answers the phone and gets me the formation I am looking for immediately. I recommend Ryan and Prosolar Hawaii to anyone in his service area that wants to install a home PV system! You won't be disappointed.

ProSolar Big Island Hawaii is a Company I highly recommend. The Owner, Ryan stands by their Customer/ProSolar contract and is extremely easy to work with. I would definitely use ProSolar again and they should be your first call.....

Anthony and Ryan are an efficient and skillful team. They determined what I needed, and made it happen. Ryan certainly knows every technical angle, and did a superb job on the installation. Inspections happened quickly and without any re-dos. They are very friendly and communicative and did a great job getting me the price I thought was competitive, I certainly will recommend ProSolarHawaii for any PV installation on the Big Island!

Mr. Anthony and Ryan were great. The quote they gave me for the system was exactly as they said. Installation took less than a day, (12 panels) and when they left, the home looked like they weren't even here,..save the beautiful PV panels on the roof. This is a great company to work with. What I liked most was their communicative nature. Anytime I had a question, they responded right away with accurate and informative information. Another plus, is that they use the highest grade materials available, especially the panels themselves which after research, I found reviews touting them as "state of the art". Thanks ProSolar guys!! ProSolar is a very good company to deal with. When their salesperson came he reviewed our needs and explained what options were available. The quote he gave us is what we paid, there were no "add-ons". They took care of the entire approval process, getting Helco and the county to sign off, including the submission of the required engineering drawings. After getting approval installation took two and a half days. We have a steel framed house which required one extra day for preparing the roof. They showed up on time and worked, they were efficient and clean. We highly recommend this company.

Our home is in Kona ,Hawaii and our experience with the entire staff of ProSolar has been excellent. They reviewed our needs and expedited the installation. The system is performing perfectly and our last HELCO bill was $21.00, how about that? I built my on home and observed their installation, totally professional. I would and have recommended ProSolar to my friends

Pro Solar did an excellent job on our solar system and it has worked flawlessly with Solar World panels. Our system is just over 6kw and produces flawlessly and we are producing over 25% more than we are using and that is with a new added second refrigerator/freezer and all electric home. We just got our system in last month and we are happy with it. Not only that, the people at prosolar are great to work with and we plan to hire them again for electrical work coming up this year. They were infinitely patient with all our questions, gave us all the info and got back to us quickly.-- GREAT customer service. This system will pay for itself very soon. We bought a hot water solar system from a Puna Company and we were very, very unhappy with their work so Pro Solar really shines next to them-- Professional and they worked with us on cost.

I did a huge amount of research on Solar Installers in my area. Talked to a few in person and the one installer that stood out was the guys from Pro Solar. Ryan and Anthony meet with me on a few occasions at our home and at work. They were always on time, courteous and have a vast knowledge of the Solar business.
