PPM is an excellent company They manage and service our entire solar system and powerwalls. They had to install a new gateway that connects the solar panels to the batteries. It was an all day affair. The first crew Ed and Jason did the install. The next crew included Derick Hohenshilt talking to Tesla to get us reconnected to the app. They all worked very hard and we are back in business. This company has an excellent staff and if you are considering solar and possibly batteries please give them a call. You will be impressed. So very glad we have them as a solar vendor.

We received quotes from 2 other companies. PPM was the only one that noticed that our consumption had reduced since our kids had left home and suggested a slightly smaller system when they could have easily tried to sell us the same size that the other companies had quoted. There was a delay, but only due to Tesla backorder. They had everything else already installed and ready to go. The day the power walls arrived, PPM came and finished the installation. During the backorder period, we received weekly calls giving me any updates they had. We have had the system for over 2 months now and could not be happier.

Phase I (26 roof mounted panels) are now working correctly. We started out with some bad panels, but Alex and his team got these replaced and the system is working! It is great working with a local company that has an "on staff" designer and electricians, unlike many other companies that sub-out the electrical to electricians that may not have solar experience. Now that phase I is complete, we are looking forward to having Phase II (starting next week with 21 additional ground mounted panels) installed to create a system that will eliminate my high GRU bill. It has been a long process with the delay of GRU in granting work permits, but it will be worth it in the end. Many thanks to Alex, Gabby and the rest of the crew.

When shopping for a solar system I took proposals from a number of established local companies. All of them seemed knowledgeable and were in a similar price range. What led me to choosing Power Production Management was that their proposal package was more detailed than the others, including the specific models and numbers of panels, inverters and mounting system. When I had some questions about system sizing they also sent me a proposal for a smaller setup. This made it easy to look up information about exactly I would be getting and consider adjustments. Everyone I interacted with was quite pleasant and responsive. Waiting for an engineering package took a bit longer than predicted but the rest of the installation went smoothly. I look forward to seeing next year if the system's annual production matches their estimate, but for the past several weeks it seems to be working as expected. Electricity is not my forte. Everyone was so patient with me from beginning to end. From Mike to Angel and all his crew. They were all super nice. Had a bit of a snag with getting it connected but that was Putnam County and Clay Electric not communicating. Nina was so good keeping me informed. The Powerwalls we’re on back order. Nina gave me constant updates so I didn’t feel like I was forgotten. When they came in they Kelly was here in no time to install them. Again, so patient with my questions and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. Omid came out for the final soon after to make sure I understood everything. Told me if I ever had any questions to call him. He make me feel like they are still there even after the sale. The only thing I wish they had done is tell me the Powerwalls were on back order when I ordered the system.

PPM Solar installed my roof-based solar system in the fall of 2020. I have had it up and running for well over a year and during this period my solar system has supplied 100% of my homes electricity needs, which includes a heated pool and spa and an electric car. In fact, I have had surplus power that I was able to get a credit back from FPL at the end of the year. The PPM folks who installed my solar system were conscientious, thorough, considerate, and extremely professional. Mark answered all my questions, and there were many, happily and patiently and offered me insightful feedback on the best systems available and my best options for getting the best system at the best price. In the end, I went with REC panels and Enphase microinverters. I liked the system so much that I bought stock in Enphase. I would highly recommend getting a solar system. I got a wonderful tax credit and PPM was able to connect me with the Clean Energy Credit Union, which financed my system at a very competitive interest rate. All in all, I would say do your homework and research because I did, and I found that PPM Solar offered me the best price on the best system and the entire process was seamless. I think if you are serious about installing a solar, then a call to PPM would be very prudent, and I know that you will be happy that you did.

This was a good process from my first contact to completion. The marketing team simply provided information (options, timing, cost, process). They never pushed. On visual inspection, they noted that my roof was old (I had it scheduled for replacement) and that there were shading issues (I had tree trimming scheduled also). They did not want to install a system on an old roof or in a situation that would not be productive. They kept us informed throughout the design and installation, so I knew what to expect and approximately when. The workers were courteous, efficient and responsible (taking off shoes when they had to enter the house for ethernet connection cable). The system (Tesla solar panels) is now operational and it produced more power than consumed during the first full month. Two Power Walls were installed last week. Just to see what would happen, I put them in the "self power" mode and they have 100% supplied all energy--including AC, cooking, clothes dryer--at night while never dipping below 50% charge. This gives me confidence that I can ride through any extended outage with minimal disruption to our lifestyle. If you have good access to sun, the panels make a lot of sense from both an environmental and economic view. Power Walls (batteries) are more of a security (against outages) feature. In south Florida, we lost power for 19 days after a hurricane, so power for your refrigerator and a few fans and lights can be a big deal. Just for information, the panels will produce at 10-15 percent on a "no sun" day; so we could keep critical loads running indefinitely. Power Production Management did a great job. Nina did well with communication and was always available for an email or text to get an update or have a question answered. Angel, Adrian, Justin, Jeremiah, Malachi, and Veta all did a very good job on the install (they are getting a raise right?). Even with the little things that came up they took care of everything with professionalism and went above and beyond. These guys have a good install team. Omid was great with the engineering and drone prep work, as well as with answering questions. Kelly was great in coordinating the details of the county inspection, and with the final run through. Our kids really enjoyed meeting the team (and even playing a little lego with a few of them when they had a chance during a downpour), and overall it was a very good experience with a good company. They were flexible with a minor adjustment on where we ran the wiring, and did a nice job on making everything look professional. They cleaned up after themselves and took complete ownership and repair of the one incidental small sheetrock mishap. I have invited them all to call or drop by anytime and hang out, and I hope they take me up on it. Their prices for the quality panels and inverters was the best we found. You should get solar from them if you want a reputable group with reasonable prices on good panels.

I have a 4500 sqr ft home. The quote was excellent for the products and size of my house 71 panels! The crew doing the work was professional and respectful to my home. They kept me informed and coordinated with the county inspectors who were way to picky! The office would call and check on us often which was a nice courtesy. The converters and panels are top notch! My electric bill has been only $25 per month for last 3 months which is grid connection fee only! I have over 1000 kw credit on my electric bill and still growing every day! We cant wait to see how much the electric company will OWE US at the end of the year!! Thanks PPM

PPM was helpfully flexible to help us negotiate several COVID-related challenges that repeatedly delayed this project (due to causes completely unrelated to PPM). They were always helpful and professional, and now (9 months after installation), our system has performed as expected, and we are delighted.

Production Power Management did an excellent job with our solar installation! They were thorough, professional, and did quality work. They were booked out and weren't able to complete the installation before year-end to make the tax break cutoff, but they deducted the cost of the system by the amount we would have saved in tax rebates, netting us the same cost overall. The system has been in placed for a year and the savings to our electric bill have been substantial. Highly recommend going with PPM for your solar panel installation!

We have had two different installations with PPM. The first was a solar system (~2015), and the second the battery backup (2020). They helped us 'right size' our system to maximize the sun exposure and offset our bills for the best balance in upfront cost and monthly bill. In the winter the system generates close to 100% of our energy needs and in the summer it takes the edge off the high usage. We are now close to cost recovery on the output. The battery has been wonderful- we barely notice power interruptions. We were delayed due to COVID but the quality of the work was exceptional in both cases. We were 'lucky' that our installations were challenging in both cases. Through all of the issues the company was upfront, and the end product was 100% satisfactory. They kept their word and did an excellent job.

Every day, whether the sky is cloudless or raining, I am happy that I made the decision to choose Power Production Management (PPM) to design, engineer, and install my residential 11.54 kilowatt photovoltaic system. I have always preferred to gather as much information and advice as I could before I made project decisions. From the beginning of my residential solar project to its completion, I believe I was afforded the benefits of a local firm who provided me with expert knowledge, advice, and options in an understandable and supportive low/no-pressure manner. My project was not a typical installation. I wanted to utilize the roof area of a pole building that had an unobstructed exposure to the sun throughout the day. That building has a clear span roof with metal web trusses and upright wood purlins. PPM engineers met the challenge by designing a system that included mounts that maximized connection to the purlins that accommodated 36 PV panels mounted horizontally. The installation of the panels and the wiring was done to the highest standards. PPM marketing and office personnel are wonderful to work with. They responded promptly to my requests and were patient with me when I had any questions. It was an added benefit having them coordinate all of the permitting and interconnection paperwork. My belief in the professionalism and expertise of PPM personnel was echoed by both permitting and utility company representatives; they had nothing but praise for the thoroughness and workmanship of PPM. Needless to say, I am delighted in my selection of PPM for my project. A real enhancement is the fact that they are a local company, a part of the regional community. Over the course of my career, I have had the opportunity to work with local, regional, and national construction, electrical, and mechanical contractors. Without hesitation, I can truthfully say that Power Production Management has earned my highest respect and trust.

Everything about the solar installation was just as described from the first meeting. All the inspections went as scheduled, no delays. The install went smoothly and the service was activated with no issues. I only wish the sun would shine more now that I have all this power at my disposal.

My family and I have been looking to install a Solar PV system for some time and conducted about two years of research before we settled on Power Production Management and a SunPower system. We wanted to take advantage of the 26% American tax payer Federal Tax credit before it drops again in ’21. After much research, design and discussion with Mark, Jason, and the staff at PPM, we elected to go with a 17.35 Kw system with 53 SunPower E20-327 Panels with built in Micro inverters. Once we locked in an install date and all the permits, inspections and banking was setup we were ready to have the system installed. We planned on a three day install with the hope of only needing two. The crew that showed up was always on time and exceptionally professional. They were eager to explain to us what they were doing, always stopping work to answer any questions we had, and made sure that their work area was cleaned up each day. There were no issues with the system being installed or fitment on the roof. The engineering review that was completed months earlier was very detailed and ensured there were only minor adjustments needed once on the job. The panels, racking, and hardware are all of the highest quality and look seamless once they were installed. The coordination between PPM, my Utility and County inspectors was all taken care of and all inspections were an easy process that we did not have to wait on or deal with. Once the meter was swapped out and the system turned on we were generating angry pixies and spinning the meter in the other direction! The only negatives or issues I have are with SunPower. The PVS6 which is the communication portal that feeds the monitoring app and web portal was not operative for several weeks after the install. The team at PPM took an active role and opened a ticket with SunPower right away to get the issue resolved. Unfortunately, SunPower has farmed out their customer support to third world low cost operations and working with them to solve an issue that is not on their pre-defined answer sheet is a major headache. It took multiple email and calls by myself and PPM to get the problem fixed. Once it was online and my system was commissioned I could finally use the IOS App and online portal. The app and portal are the other issue. The portal and app are absolute garbage and provide little to no useful data about the system. The reporting done by the system through the PVS6 is very time delayed (hours sometimes days), the GUI and app interface are not customizable and unlike what SunPower and their literature stated, I do not have individual panel level production monitoring. This was a key feature I wanted and it seems as if their new portal does not include this feature. SunPower has really dropped the ball on their monitoring and I would recommend getting the Sense monitor with solar add-on clamps. We highly recommend Power Production Management. During a time of short staffing and other numerous obstacles due to COVID, they have maintained a high level of professionalism and customer service throughout. Their proposal included options at different price points and capability. They were always quick to respond to questions, provided thorough explanations of both their proposed options and the system in general. They went above and beyond during the install, even staying until 10:00pm to ensure the job was completed and done correctly. They responded favorably to my interest in understanding the basic operations of the system and spent a good deal of time with me during the interconnect explaining the various components, emergency shutoffs and methods to monitor the system. It is important to have an installer that knows how to work with the local utility as each of them have different requirements. If these are not met, it can delay the interconnect for weeks. Power Production Management has a history with GRU and the Gainesville Building Inspection Department, so the inspection and interconnect went very smoothly. We really appreciate their hard work that instilled confidence from the initial proposal until the day of interconnect with GRU.

PPM provided a quality installation of my solar system at a reasonable price. The staff were courteous and professional, and they took the time necessary to ensure that I fully understood the system's performance regarding kilowatt hours, net metering, and tiered billing. I'm very happy with the end result of my install, and I highly recommend PPM as a reliable and honest company that can get the job done.

UPDATED July 8, 2020: The company struggled to meet a surge in demand during 2019 as a result of the tax incentive reduction taking effect in 2020. As a result, my project was delayed but, important to note here, it was delivered prior to the 2019 year-end, allowing me to take full advantage of the tax benefit. Following the installation, I was contacted by PPMs co-owner Jason Gonos, who wanted to hear my concerns and take feedback how they could do to improve customer service and project management. Honestly, that personal follow-up is a good indicator that PPM is serious about improving operations and delivering on its customer satisfaction commitment. I would use their service again and regularly recommend them to my neighbors interested in solar.

Highly recommended! Their whole team was with us every step of the way, leaving very little for my wife and I to worry about during the process. If you're ready to go solar, just leave in their hands, they got you! Their equipment and workmanship is fully warrantied, and with the amount of money we're saving (plus tax credits!) this will pay for itself in no time!

I have been generating power for almost 1 year now and love the fact that I made the decision to go solar. Power Production Management did an awesome making sure that I received a quality system that meet my needs. My only issue was the install date was longer than initially planned, but I was kept informed of the delays and it was due to the high volume of new installs generated by the Alachua Solar Co-Op. We joined the local solar co-op for solar system installation. The whole process takes a while but I have to say it is smooth and pleasure to deal with this company. They have the instalment plan for payment which works out well for us and once the project is completed, provide all the receipts for Federal Tax credit. They hand hold you through the process and if issue arises, they explain to you why it is how it will be handled. For example, for my installation, there was some delay first due to raining everyday two weeks leading to my scheduled installation and understandably, they have to finish what has started before take on a new installation. They keep in updated on the new scheduled date and make sure I am okay with it. There is also shipping damage on the solar panels which also caused some delay but was promptly communicated. The installation team, electrician and office staff are top notch. They are efficient, courteous and very responsive to any question I have. For example, there was some imperfection at the garage drywall after a fuse box installation. I pointed it out to them and they hire a professional to come and fix it. They took care of all the permits and inspection with GRU, the utility company we used. They always try to minimize impact to our family during the whole process and only request to come into garage when absolutely needed. Quite a few times, they just called me to tell me that they will be coming to work on the outside part of the system and do not need to have access to inside of the house but just want to make sure we are aware of it. The final walkthrough is also pretty informative and accommodating for the time after work. They also walk me through the reporting system so I understand what the graphs mean and how can I be sure the system is working properly. I feel they have done a fantastic job and have confidence recommending them to anyone who are interested in the solar system.

I purchased my system in 2017. The entire experience was positive from start to finish. The team was very professional and stayed on schedule. I am actually producing more energy than what was estimated. I would highly reccomend.

We recently completed an 8.829 kw solar system with Power Production Management . We could not be happier. From the beginning they explained our options and costs without putting any pressure on us. Once we signed the contract everything went like clockwork. We had one small delay - Trump’s tariff on solar panels which delayed our products - but that was resolved in 2 weeks. The time from delivery of panels to final inspection by utility company was 1 week!!! And we were up and running. PPM handles everything - permitting, inspections, quality control - everything went so smoothly. Communication between PPM and customer was excellent. I highly recommend them.

Working with PPM was fantastic. They installed a 9kW system for us and were outstanding the whole way through. They explained all the options, the reasoning behind the geometry for the placement, and the timescales and costs without ever putting on any pressure. They were timely, and responsive throughout the entire process. The best part was -- they're a 'set it and forget it' company. That is, once you figure out what you want and sign the contract, they do everything else...they dealt with the permitting, the inspections, the quality control, all that. Our solar panels were installed approximately 10 years ago in 2008 by Power Production Management (PPM). Happy to report that the solar system has operated continuously since installation with out any issues. PPM handled all the details, answered all of our questions, applied for State and Local Rebates, obtained the necessary permits, and they even effectively dealt with our Homeowner's Association. I felt confident on choosing this company and now after 3 years and two hurricanes I am relieved I choose d them. The 8.25 kw system I have has earned me a credit with clay electric and the utility company ends up sending me a check every December.

So, you’ve decided to reduce your carbon footprint and reduce your energy costs (perhaps not in that order) by investing in, or at least checking out solar panels (let’s face it, most HOAs will not allow you to install a wind farm so solar is really the only way to go.) This is a big investment so you want to get it right. Trying to pick the right solar company can be confusing. Unless you have someone you trust to recommend a firm, you’re left to searching through a myriad of sites online that in some cases have dubious reviews. Even scheduling home visits with various companies can leave you undecided. Talking to salesmen can be misleading because, hey, they’re trying to sell you something. At this point I took a step back. I decided to look for the best Solar Panel and work from there. This search lead me to “SunPower” panels. These are without a doubt THE best residential panels available on the market today. Best warranty, best power production, smallest footprint, best longevity (least degradation) and just plain best quality. Don’t trust my say so, check out Consumer Reports – they have SunPower listed head and shoulders above the rest for years now! So how do I get a Sunpower system installed? Well, it turns out that Sunpower only allows approved installation companies for each area of the country. They must be trained and vetted to install Sunpower products. In Jacksonville Florida, where I live, that company is Power Production Management. Armed with this knowledge I checked out PPM and found that they had an impeccable reputation, great online reviews, great BBB rating AND, as I said, they are the preferred installer for the panels I wanted. Power Production Management did not disappoint. Right from the initial visit I could see the standard of professionalism I expected. The gentleman they sent was polite, informed, thorough, and made no wild promises. He was more of a “sales engineer” than a “salesman”. I was “sold”. The installers started a few months later and they did a great job. They had that same professional pride that resulted in a project that was neat and clean with everything perfectly straight and level. They took their time to make sure everything was perfect, right down to painting the outdoor conduits to match my house. The system has been up and running for over a year now. I’m saving money and I feel good about my choice environmentally. The monitoring system is fabulous and I can even check it out on my phone when I’m away from home. I’m still patting myself on the back for my choice of Power Production Management and Sunpower panels. You can’t go wrong making the same choice.

When I started my research on solar panels I found that Sun Power makes the highest quality and most efficient panels in the business. At the time Power Production Management is the only company in the area that sells and installs this panel so I got a quote from them. I also got 2 other quotes from local companies that sell other panels of comparable output and found that PPM is competitive in its pricing and went with them. The installation went well and PPM sent installers who were very experienced with many years in the business and they did a great job. If you want the best then go with Sun Power panels from PPM.

This outfit is in Gainesville, Florida. My husband and I live in Tallahassee. Once everyone got through the permitting process, the workmen showed up late Thursday, worked long hard days and finished Sunday afternoon. They were polite and clearly very experienced. We are very pleased with the company and the savings we are getting from our solar panels. We highly recommend them.
