This review is overdue, but we've now had our system installed for about 10 months, and we could not be happier. Everyone from Brian to the office staff to the installers were prompt, polite and professional. The installation was fast and it everything looks clean. The system works exactly as advertised, and it recently saved us during a major storm. While everyone around us had their power out for 2-3 days, our service was totally uninterrupted. The only way we knew the power even went out was a notification from our Tesla app - totally seamless. So much better than messing with a noisy, smelly generator and having to fill it with gas. A bit of advice - err on the side of a bigger system if you can afford it. You won't regret the peace of mind that comes with knowing you've got enough power to keep living as usual. Great experience with Pacific Energy! Brian, our solar rep, was awesome—very knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and always took the time to answer our questions. Mae Anne in the office was also great and super helpful with scheduling and paperwork. The installers and electrician did an excellent job. Working with Sean Grady and the Pacific Energy company has been the best way to add our Tesla battery and extra solar panels. We almost went with a nationwide company, but after meeting with Sean, we decided to stay local. We are extremely satisfied we did. Really great experience!!

We decided we needed a new roof and we had a 15 year old PV system that was too small for our growing needs. We asked around our area and Pacific Energy was highly recommended. After getting a few quotes for the PV system we decided that they were our choice. Sean Grady came out and got us started. The project was very smooth. The crews were quick, tidy and knowledgeable. Very Best Professionals, best components and price

I asked two top tier general contractors from different sides of the island "Who's the best Photovotaic System Company?". I got two names: Daryl Hansen, and Sean Grady. Turns out they are both part of the Pacific Energy company. After checking another company we selected Pacific Energy and are completely satisfied. Daryl Hansen, Sean Grady and the rest of the personable and responsive team installed a great system and batteries for our house and cottage. We are off the grid most of the time. What a great feeling! Start to finish they are right on top of everything and had us all set up and running in a very timely manner. Interactions from the owner, system designer Sean and the office as well as the install crew and electrician were fantastic. The office set us up with contact numbers for the installers and electricians and they were available and on time with all the installations. They are all happy hardworking helpful excited people. After getting increasingly higher power bills we decided to get solar for our home, our friends recommended that we contact Sean, he came out to the house the next day and looked over the entire project we ended up getting 18 panels and a Tesla Powerwall! The process was fast and easy; the entire staff was really on top of everything throughout the entire process! Very Positive Experience!

Simply Superb

Simply Superb! From the first contact with Jana in the office to the final steps with HECO this was an exceptional experience. Sean, our sales rep, immediately contacted us and listened to our needs and then after thoughtful review, and a prompt visit to the house, recommend the right setup for our needs. From there, the experience continued to get better. Clear, concise communication through the often times, slow and frustrating process of county and HECO approvals showed how they are clearly at the top of their game. Everything just clicked. Once approved, the next phase began. Once again, top class. Install date was set, prior to the install a tech came out and surveyed the property once again to make sure all details were to our liking and that they would arrive prepared for the install. That day came without a flaw. The Install manager was communicative, and effective! installation of 17 panels and a Tesla Battery were flawless, NO time was wasted & respect was shown for their presence in our space. They again, excelled at their part. Electrical installation came two days later, and after experiencing all of the above, I did not expect them to outshine themselves, but they did. The team was again, professional, courteous and simply did a stellar job at integrating the existing 34 panel system. the final install required some on the fly adjustments and creativity (our fault) and they were able to install a seamless and gorgeous install of all components needed on a single wall. Final inspections came and went without a hitch (of course) and the system is now cranking out sun power, enough to power the entire house and out cars (EV) with extra to spare, just a we requested. It is a thing of beauty, the feeling one gets when a) they harness the sun for all their power needs and more importantly b) they will never have to pay MECO another dime ;) Thank you for reading all of this, and please just know This IS the company to go with on MAUI. I can not say enough good things about this company from our sales rep who went the EXTRA mile to ensure financing to the installation guys and the mascot puppy to the tech specialist who helped us understand the app and set up connections. Best PV company on Maui!!!

Pacific Energy is so far ahead in the PV energy space. They have a business practice to get your system designed, approved, permitted, installed and close-out in record time. My experience with service and execution was better than my expectation. I had a very large system (91 panels) installed and they completed the entire system within 4 days! It passed inspection with no corrections. Their process to navigate this process is the best experience for a consumer. Let them do it and just write the check. Oh, and the products (SunPower panels and Solar Edge inverters) are the best in the market place with the best warranty and technology...hands down. Highly recommend Pacific Energy for Maui solar PV !!

Seamless Service- Satisfied Customer, worth the expense.

My electric bill was out of control, got to the point I would not run the A/C, and was chasing around the house turning off switches. I projected a first month bill of $800+. Pacific Energy provided me a system that was on time, at the specified cost, and with tax benefits, at both the Federal and State levels. System installed in 2 weeks. First MECO bill was $26. That is the minimum charge by the electric company.

Excellent service

After I bought my house, my realtor gave me two recommendations for solar installers. I chose Daryl because he seemed forthright and up front. I was not disappointed. He did excellent work and did it on time. He responded quickly to my communications. I am extremely happy with my new solar power system.

Top Tier PV Installer - Nothing but the Best!

Daryl stood out early when I began searching for a local PV installer. His friendly honesty, willingness to answer all of my many questions and scenarios in a timely fashion, documentation and excellent graphical modeling of his proposal all exceeded everyone else I contacted in the industry. His proposal came first, was the strongest to meet my needs, came organized with a realistic annual production model and attractive graphics of my proposed panel layout. He even graphically modeled my equipment rack with batteries. Few people, even fewer contractors, can meet my level of attention to detail. Daryl exceeded my expectations in every way. He used the highest quality products, used the best installation techniques, took great care of my existing masonry tile roofing, and skirted all of my panels nicely to meet local HOA requirements and then some. Speaking of the HOA, he navigated their strict requirements with ease. I never had to get involved. He is one of Maui's authorized Tesla dealers and I went with a Tesla PowerWall backup which operates flawlessly and looks incredible. When the install was complete Daryl gave me everything I needed to register my panels for their extended warranty. Even with the install complete he answers questions quickly and remains engaged in the operation and production of the system. During the bid process, before I selected Pacific Energy, one of the largest installers on Maui told me I'd need to place a deposit in order to have any of my questions answered or to have my proposed layout modeled, not so with Daryl. At least 3 of my neighbors are looking to have Daryl do projects on their homes, both new installs and existing system upgrades.

Daryl started helping us from our first thoughts about solar. He added tremendous value to every step of the process. First we talked generally about solar and identified the factors on which to base our decision - economic, environmental, investment and return, and aesthetic. Then Daryl produced a plan and provided data to support each of the factors. We talked with Daryl, we discussed with others, we let the ideas germinate. Daryls recommendations for layout actually added positive value to the architecture of our home. He prepared all the government forms and explained them. We received approval, and the installation was done is less than a week. Even after final inspection and entry into the "net zero" metering program on Maui, Daryl had continued to answer questions, help with data analysis and support ideas about how to take best advantage of our PV power generation. Amazing. Highly recommended. Professional, supportive, friendly -- all the characteristics of the best.
