Dont work with Onforce solar!!!
I applied with force solar over a year ago, for a few months the service was working well. after a few months, I started to see the bill get higher. My average electrical bill is around $50 instead of seeing a reduction the bill increased steadily when I contacted onforce they told me its a glitch with there system and they would get back to me I waited a month and they did not get back to me so I canceled the contract. Overall there were about $200 in overcharges. Instead of helping the community they steal from innocent people. Do not work with Onforce solar they will take your money

Do Not Use This Company
Onforce solar installed my system in 2016. I paid them $40,000 in cash. Everything was fine until July of this year when my system stopped working. I called Onforce. They refused to repair the system claiming they "no longer serviced residential properties". This is in spite of a 10 year warranty they gave me. I have tried many times to resolve the problem with them. They are completely unresponsive. The worst company I have ever dealt with. Please don't use them.

Absolutely THE BEST!
I couldn't be happier seeing an electric bill with a $0.00 amount due. But, more importantly, I know I am reducing my carbon footprint. From the beginning of the sales process to the complete installation, everything happened as it was explained and I am delighted with the level of professionalism from OnForce Solar. It was important on so many levels, yet, the entire process went without a glitch. It's just amazing. I would highly recommend EVERYONE consider installing solar power!!!

Installation and service
Solar Power has been installed for 2 years. Since the installation, we only pay the basic connection service to Con Ed. The installation of the panels and equipment was very professional, quick and clean. When they finished installing the equipment there was no litter left. Everything was clean. We are very pleased with the service. It has been a good experience and we have been savings money every month.

Great company
Had my system installed in Oct- 2014, and the process was very easy because of the OnForce Solar team, from the very first visit to the install! I could not have been happier dealing with OnForce Solar! Thank you!

Solar Panel Installation at 980 Rensselaer Avenue
We have been enjoying all the cost savings with our Solar Panels for a little over one year. We were totally satisfied with the solar panel installation. Looking forward to continued cost savings and tax credits.

Definitely worth the investment
Decided to go with OnForce for my solar installation over other solar companies. The process was good with the exception of waiting for the building permit to be issued. Besides that everything else was good and the savings have helped.

Best Economic Decision I ever made
I've had my solar panels since January 2016 installed by OnForce Solar. They are very efficient installers, finished in one day. Powered up the same week. My electricity bills have been at an all time low. I'm very happy with the decision I made to go solar, not only for the environment, mostly because I'm saving money on a monthly basis. I recommend solar panels to anyone who is able to have them on their roof.

On Force Rocks
I am a totally satisfied customer. The contractors and the inspectors made installation a breeze. Many other homes in my neighborhood had their solar panels installed by OnForce. So I felt confident in knowing that the job would be done right and up to code. I have recommended OnForce to so many other families in the neighborhood as well as in my job place. My electric bill has zeroed out. OnForce is professional, friendly and no nonsense. I highly recommend them. Thank you Cathy Plaia

Love the Solar Panels
OnForce showed up on time and installed the solar panels in a timely fashion. The necessary service that has been done has been quick and convenient. I love having the solar panels as they make me feel good about trying to help the environment.

On Force was very professional and dependable.
As my installation was in mid-May, I have yet to get the full benefit from the system. However, my electric bills from Con Ed from May of last year to date have been minimal. I'm looking forward to seeing the system's benefits increase after having the system operational for a full year .

Extremely Satisfied
OnForce installed 26 solar panels on the roof of my 2 story home in August 2014. They also installed a power one inverter in my basement per my request. They did a great job keeping everything looking neat and professional which was important to me. I haven't had any issues with the equipment and have been very happy with the savings that I am receiving on my electric bill from going solar as well as lowering my carbon footprint.

Solar Panel Installation
Happy overall, Installation was fast and clean, delivered everything as promised. They did forgot about us initially and installation was delayed by 6 month, but made an extra effort to satisfy all requests and deal with DOB ad ConEd.

Great Service and Best Decision Made!
OnForce Solar provided great service. They communicated with me throughout the entire process. My solar panels have saved me from high electric bills. Thanks Luis and OnForce Solar!!!

Great experience
Installation went as planned and the management team that handled my installation was excellent. They answered all my concerns before, during and after the installation promptly.

Great product, great service, great people
I think I became the poster boy for OnForce Solar in my community. I was the first to install it in my development, and have been an enthusiastic proponent ever since. Everyone was a please with whom to work - the sales agents, customer service, even the installers. All were professional, friendly, and knew what they were doing. You don't save a fortune with solar - and that point was always made clear - but there are a number of advantages and virtually no downsides. I am thrilled to be part of the program.

A highly successful residential installation
My system has been running since December 2012. Approval at that time from my town took a little longer expected, but I believe it was one of the first installations in the town. The installation process went very smoothly and was expertly handled. I was pleased that they agreed to do a larger installation than they had originally suggested and were agreeable to my request for a change in the company that made the panels. My only regret is that I have been unable to get my neighbors to install solar panels. The people across the street did, but they used another company and paid considerably more.

LOVE MY SOLAR!!!!!
Very skeptical about Solar altogether, at first. But the OnForce team was able to answer all of my questions and accurately walk me through the process. The only problem I encountered was the NYC permit process and my electric company dragging their feet, my paperwork was filed by the OnForce company expeditiously, my panels were up as soon as the paperwork was finalized, I had to wait for my electric company to do their inspection which took two additional months....let me say this OnForce was great, love the staff, always available to answer a question and very knowledgeable....it was the buildings department and the electric company that took forever to finalize their paperwork, with that said....my electric bill went from 328.00 (on level payment) to approximately $18.00 a month (the service fee), at one point my electric company owed me $60.00 which was credited to my account so for three months my electric bill was 0. I leased the equipment with no money down so my solar bill is around $170.00 a month, coupled with the electric bill its $ 188.00 which is still considerably less than what I was paying. To sum it up...I love my solar, I'm helping the environment and saving money. I have referred a number of my neighbors to OnForce and they are happy too. I had a very good experience working with OnForce and would highly recommend this company.

Courtesty & Professionalism
Just want to say how please i am with My OnForce Solar system. I received a call yesterday from my OnForce rep Louis Pinerio to let me know that they needed to make a visit to my home to make sure all the work was completed and up to Nyserda Standards. The appointment was made and the explanation of the visit was explained and understood. Also very accommodating in working around my time schedule. Thank You OnForce!

Excellent customer service and product
The solar panels were installed and I received my first electric bill which was $13. My normal bill is $265 per month. The installer that was here through the course of this process was extremely courteous, and professional and literally went above and beyond to make us happy. The customer service with this company is outstanding. When you call, you always get someone on the phone immediately to accommodate you.

Commendable service
My experience with Onforce Solar has been trouble-free and of high quality. They took care of every aspect of the installation, from permits to final NYC approval. My electricity cost savings is fantastic and I'm delighted that I was able to take advantage of the solar installation which was of no cost to me. Every staff member and even several management persons that I dealt with were totally professional, courteous and followed up on all questions that I had.

Solar Panels
The staff was knowledgeable, professional, courteous, diligent and attended to my special installation requests. The solar panels installed are quality panels and are very efficient. The planning and installation was done meticulously and professionally. The solar panels do not impose on the curb appeal of my home which was a concern of mine. OnForce Solar's follow up after the installation in reference to getting the system inspected and approved by the Department of Buildings went very smoothly. My system was approved on the first inspection. The only issue I had was the promised date of the installation was delayed by eight months due to varying reasons including that the solar panels were not available for a period of time from the manufacturer which was out of OnForce Solar's control. If it had not been for this issue I would have rated them a 5. Overall, I am very happy with having used OnForce Solar and would recommend them to others.

Horrible experience with Onforce Solar
An install that was promised to take a week took 4 months. Inexperienced workers and very unprofessional. Damage done to roof and gutters, but was eventually repaired by Onforce solar. System is still under powered. They agreed to install higher rated inverters but have not done so. The inverters peak and are not able to produce any more power. We paid for a 10kw system and they peak at 8kw. We are holding back the installation money until they come and finish what they promised. I can go on with this review but it would only mirror the other bad experiences from the other reviewers. This company has alot of internal issues with management and its workers.

Same as OTHERS DO NOT USE !!
I had solar installed by other company (Sea Bright Solar) and excellent . Sales guy moved to On Force and asked me to give him a shot . I should have NEVER did this. DISASTER like other posters. Charles Feit was contacted during first week on install and promised all will go smooth. The kid / electrician was literally reading an electrical book in my garage !! NO JOKE. After requesting a new crew and not happening they proceeded to wire everything up. Electrician said he didn't have the proper conduit and won't be able to get it because they don't have corporate home depot cards. After a week or two it finally was wired and I know some stuff looked wrong. Called Charles again and he sent another Solar contractor who ripped out entire wiring system and re wired the house completely . What kind of crappy company is this . !!! Anyways I'm over a year in and still no sign off. If anyone wants particulars email me at ajp656@gmail.com. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY !

Great investment - very happy with OnForce!
We have been thrilled with OnForce Solar! From the our very first visit from their salesperson Jason, who guided us patiently through the whole process of explaining our options, and helped us configure what would work best for our home. Continuing with the delivery of our panels, coming when they said they would and delivered with a smile by a friendly driver who handled our panels with care. Then the quick but efficient installation by a team of friendly guys who took the time to show you how it all works and what the install would entail. Then Latoya who answered any and all questions during the financing process and was our go-to person for anything and everything we may have had a question about, finance wise or technical wise - so friendly! And most recently Luis who happily answered all questions regarding our tax rebates and provided any and all info we needed. This was a great investment for our home and saved us money from day one! We are now a happy solar powered home!!! If you have the exposure on your roof and want to save money - do a solar install, and help the environment at the same time - win, win!

Consider yourself warned-- STAY AWAY
Their rep knocked on my door one day; that's how I came to know OnForce. I signed a contract and here I am, one year later with NO solar, NO answers, and PLENTY of run around! Hey, they were quick to take my deposit though! Stay away! They are completely unprofessional and will not follow through on their promises. Oh and I SO appreciated getting periodic phone calls from bimbos with what they said were -updates- with, uh... never any update. These bimbos could not talk without using that strange pseudo customer service speak that never really conveys any information. Loved that-- getting pestered by a person who couldn't provide any assistance whatsoever. It felt like I was dealing with a scamming telemarketer.

bad service is their standard
Mr. Charles Feit CEO OnForce To: Mr. Charles Feit I WISH the purpose of this letter was to praise your company on an outstanding job during the whole business process of acquiring my solar system from your company, but I regret to inform you that the fact of the matter is entirely different. The purpose of this letter is to make you aware, how dissatisfied and appalled I am at the whole service I have received from your company thus far. Below is a chronological series of events that took place between your company and myself from the inception of the project (beginning of January 2015) to our current day. 1. 1/25/2015 – Initial business deals took place with Alex Yackery. During the meeting I explained to Mr. Yackery what I was looking for in a system? (Energy requirement, size of the system, location of panel installation and brand of inverters for the project). I made him aware that I am an Aerospace Engineer and that I am extremely proficient at what I do (blue prints, installation, design, building codes, etc.). I told him that if we go into business, Onforce MUST be on point since I was going to be checking all aspects of the project with a critical eye. 2. 2/25/2015 – After ironing it out the details of the system the contract was signed. 3. 3/27/2015 – Made contact with Mr. Yackery to get a time frame for the system design and submissions of permit. From this point on it became increasingly difficult to get a hold of Mr. Yackery for updates on my project. I have emails and text messages that can corroborate this. 4. 4/21/2015 – I received my first set of plans for the project and the amount of errors and mistakes was appalling (it was evident this was a rush job) I made contact with Mr. Yackery and explained the number of errors that had to be corrected before we could proceed. 5. 6/02/2015 – I received an email stating that the architectural plans and structural plans were submitted for permitting. (I didn’t approve those plans, the plans were wrong and got rejected by the building department. Once again a rush job) 6. 6/09/2015 – I received another set of plans via letter mail. I called Mr. Yackery because the plans were still wrong and I offered to go to the central office and re-work the plans for this project for free since it was evident your engineering team was having difficulty getting a simple task done. Mr. Yackery then arranged a conference call with one of your engineers to resolve the issues on the plans. I spoke on the phone with him and pointed out some of the obvious problems to him in the hopes that he will get the point and really look carefully and make all the necessary corrections. 7. 6/15/2015 – received an email from Mr. Yackery saying the latest plans submitted were approved and that they had the permits. However I never received the updated plans he was referring to. I also asked for a schedule date of installation and I never received it. 8. 6/17/2015 – I contacted Mr. Yackery once again for a date of installation. His response was, “I am working with my team to schedule now†9. 6/22/2015 – I sent a text message to Mr. Yackery to express my concern on the length of time it is taking to get any info or time frames on my project. • 6/22/2015 - I felt that Mr. Yackery was increasingly avoiding me for answers; I, thus contacted your central office in the Bronx for updates and left voice messages (still no answers or any info.) 10. 6/29/2015 – Text message sent to Alex by me: “Alex is now Monday and I still haven’t heard from you as to when are we going to get this project going. I’m concerned that this is never going to happen. Please give me a call back and let me know. Like I stated before time is ticking. Very concerned customer over here!†No response to my text by Mr. Yackery. 11. JULY – I contacted your office in the Bronx several times through the month and left voice mails, sent text messages and received no responses back or any type of follow up for the entire month. 12. 8/5/2015 – DCU contacted me to do another HARD PULL on my credit to renew the loan application. I declined because I felt like the project was not going to happen and that I was most likely going to cancel the contract with Onforce. I told the DCU rep., that it was not fair for the customer to keep getting points deducted from their credit score every time a hard pull is done and nothing to show for. 13. 8/6/2015 – Text message sent to Mr. Yackery by me: “Alex, I will be cancelling the contract due to the inability to get the system installed by your company. If I don’t hear from you or your company with an installation date by tomorrow, consider our business deal terminated. The Bank called me to do another hard pull on my credit and I told them no because my credit score goes down and I still have not seen any results. It’s not fair for my credit to get hurt and guys don’t do anythingâ€. 14. 8/6/2015 – Text received from Mr. Yackery: “Equipment is being delivered tomorrowâ€. 15. 8/7/2015 – I took off from work on short notice to meet with the installers. Only the panels were delivered but not inverters, conduit or racks rails for the panels. Please be aware that your whole team of installers and electricians were at my house all day Friday and virtually did nothing since they didn’t have the necessary material on site to do the job. Your roof installers did panel layout in the morning and then they had no more work since they didn’t have any material to continue working. Your whole crew of electricians did 0% work for the day. (First day of lost work for me) Please be advised, that no permits were posted at the work site and I have yet to see the work permits. 16. 8/10/2015 – Racking system was delivered and roof crew was able to start working on panel installation. Electricians still had no material; 0% work done (2nd day of missed work for me). 17. 8/11/2015 – Roof installers continued with the installation and made the necessary layout modifications your engineers weren’t able to do. Main roof racking system installed; secondary roof untouched. Electricians received partial delivery of material at 1:32 PM. Electricians started installation of electrical components in the basement. Roof crew and electricians was observed working without harnesses from this point forward and for the remainder of the installation) (3rd day of missed work for me) 18. 8/12/2015 – Roof crew started installing panels on the main roof and started installing the racking system on the secondary roof. Electricians continued working on the basement equipment installation. (I spoke to your roof crew in regards to cleaning the job site after every day of work due to hazards being left behind that could potentially harm my two toddler kids. Ex. Roof nails. (4th day of missed work for me) • Electricians started to borrow my tools due to a lack of tools of their own to effectively do the job. (Some tools were never returned) • I took a look at the electrical drawings the electricians were using and unsurprisingly plans were wrong. • A member of your engineering team came by the job site and he was surprised at the level or errors the plans had. 19. 8/13/2015 – Roof crew started and finished the installation of secondary roof panels and racks. Electrician crew continued working on basement and attic. I noticed that Electrician James was making racist remarks towards his crew members and myself. (5th day of missed work for me) 20. 8/14/2015 – Electricians completed the electrical installation with the exception of the installation of the ground rod at considerable damage to my home walls and floors. Electrician James continued with his racist comments and shows of frustrations towards his job and team mates. Towards the end of the day it was clear to me that an outburst of violence was eminent by James. In an effort to diffuse the situation I started to do some of his job duties towards the end of the day. Ex. pick up garbage, clean up around my house and help put away their tools. I was concerned for the well-being of my family and wanted to calm him down. (6th day of missed work for me) 21. 8/15/2015, Saturday – I went to check on the newly installed system and noticed a fault on one of the inverters (ground fault – code 25) 22. 8/17/2015 – I contacted your main office in regards the ground fault and to inquire when they would be able to return to trouble shoot and finish the ground rod installation. I was told by Ms. Roshane that she will contact me as soon as the missing parts arrive at your shop to schedule the crew to come back. 23. 8/18/2015 – I called your main office for an update on the parts and Ms. Roshane said that the parts had arrived and if I was available the following day (8/19/2015) for the crew to come over and finish the installation. I told her that I will schedule myself to be there and take off from work again. 24. 8/19/2015 – I called your Bronx office to confirm that the crew was on their way since it was already 10:45 am and the repair crew was not here yet. • 11:05 am. – I get a call back and Ms. Roshane and she said that the crew was sent to a different location and that they will be at my house tomorrow. I told her that was unacceptable because she scheduled the crew to come to my home and I had scheduled myself to be home (not fair to me to keep missing days of work due to no fault by me). • 11:30 am. – I get a call from Ms. Latoya stating that it was not cost efficient to have the crew come to my house today. I asked her if it was cost efficient for me to miss work for so many days and to have your crew of installers sitting on my driveway for days doing nothing due to the lack of parts? She had no response and said that she will try to do her best to get a crew over. • 11:55 am. – Mr. John Clasby called me and said that it was impossible to get a crew to my home to get the repairs done and finalize the ground rod installation. We got into a lengthy conversation in regards to all the things that had gone wrong with my installation and agreed that he along with one of his right hand electricians will be on site on 8/20/2015 to complete the installation and trouble shoot the system. • (7th day of missed work for me) 25. 8/20/2015 – The electrician came in and installed the missing pieces of the system installation and corrected the ground fault condition on the system. Mr. Clasby and I had a conversation of all the things that had gone wrong with my installation and at the end of the conversation he said that he wanted to make thing right. He was going to follow up with an email to get my wife’s flowers compensated and perhaps a dinner. I told him it was not necessary and that all I wanted was to get this system installed and to move forward with our lives and not ever have to deal with Onforce ever. He said that never the less he would make contact with me to try to turn my negative experience towards the positive. (I never got any follow up email) (8th day of missed work for me) 26. 8/24/2015 – While cleaning after your install crew, I discovered additional damage to my home. DCU contacted me that same day asking to conduct another HARD PULL on my credit. I told them NO since I still can’t monitor my system over the web and the damage to my house is more extensive than I had previously thought. • Mr. Yackery called me that same day and left me a voice mail to call him back. 27. 8/26/2015 – Mr. Yackery sent me a text message to call him back. • I called him back and explain to him that I was not going to run my credit again for the loan until all the damage to my home is repaired and the system installation finalized (web monitoring not done yet). He said that they can’t complete the installation until I get my loan credit checked again and get paid. I told him it wasn’t fair to get my credit score impacted TWICE due to your company’s inability to get this whole project off the ground on a timely basis. I should not have my credit impacted TWICE and still end up with a bill on my end for the damage done to my home by your company during the installation of the solar system at my house. • At my request Mr. Yackery and Mr. Clasby agreed to send me a document stating that repairs to the house will be done in an effort to get me to agree to get the credit recheck and the loan renewed. 28. 8/27/15 – I received a document from Mr. Yackery stating that OnForce will cover the repair cost for damages to my floor during the system installation. (What about the rest of the items that were damaged at my house?). As you can see Mr. Feit, my experience as a customer was undermined from the initial stages. My faith and trust in your company is virtually nonexistent. My only option in order to protect myself is to hold on the loan renewal until all issues brought up to your knowledge are corrected. Should you want to schedule a meeting to discuss this matter further, please don’t hesitate to contact me and I’ll be sure to make the necessary time to meet with you in person at a time that is convenient for the two of us. At this moment I am considering, but have not done so; forwarding all the pertinent information regarding my experiences with your company to the following agencies and any other offices I see fit in the hopes of protecting other customers from this type of unfair and unprofessional business conducts. I have however forwarded this information to my legal advisor in order to better protect my interest regarding this matter. • NYC Better Business Bureau • Middletown Better Business Bureau • Dept. of Consumer Affairs • NYSERDA I have attached a small power point presentation with some of the damage done to my house during the installation. As stated before. I was told by Mr. Yackery to get an estimate on the repair cost of the damage done to my house in order for your company to get these issues taken care. I made contact with a local contractor to get estimates. He stated that he will be available to come to my house on Friday and that he should have a proposal by mid-week next week. I sincerely hope Mr. Feit, that my case is an isolated incident and not the typical way your company is conducting business with other customers. Looking forward to meeting and discussing this matter in more detail should you see the need.

Even NYSERDA dropped them!!!
Like the previous reviewer, we signed in Dec 2014. They promise constantly to call back but they NEVER do...ever! I just called NYSERDA and they informed me that my application was denied LAST MONTH (I signed last YEAR!!!) and they have been dragging the process along for over 10 months! Nobody is ever on the same page when I do call and now I'm going to cancel my contract and go with another company. I hope we get our deposit back since we were going to buy our system outright. Oh, and their employee attrition rate is absurd. Every time I ask for the person with whom I spoke to before, "they're no-longer with us". Well, NYSERDA did the same with you guys and so am I!!!

Worst company ever
Signed in Dec 2014, still not up and running. Sales rep is fired and not replaced. Never get a manager or person to find out what is going on. Did 1/2 the job and waiting for them to bring panels for over a month. STAY AWAY!!!

Just TERRIBLE
Don't waste your time with this company!! They do TERRIBLE work, nobody is on the same page, and it seems as if no one cares. There are many others such as NRG, 1st Light etc. Please don't get sucked into this company. It takes them 9 months to get a lousy permit. If you do decide to go with them please do yourself a favor and ask for paperwork, licenses of the people actually doing the work. You will be sorry if you don't. Good luck and may the onforce not be with you!!!

They will leave you hanging.
Reached out to OnForce back in May 2013. The salesman was professional did his pitch. Informed me thay my roof was ideal for solar system. Says that the permit will take 3-4 months then I will have my system installed. Provided all paperworks on my end and took a hit on my credit score to apply for financing. Sent multiple emails and called 3 months later and the salesman confirmed that it was progressing. It's now over 7 months and still nothing. Starting to believe this company is a scam. Waste of my time as well as their. Can't imagine this compant will last with this type of service.

An extremely bad experience
Things started out ok and everyone was very nice and professional. However once the system was fully installed and turned on the problem started. At first only one inverter would work at a time. When I called to report the issue it took over a week for them to come back out and correct the grounding of the system which was causing this problem. About a month later they system was inspected by NYSERDA ( New York State). At the conclusion the inspector shut the system down and told us that they system was wired incorrectly and based on this it was unsafe and a potential fire hazard. There were several other issues a few which were wrong size fuses were used as well as non ul rated equipment was used and the wrong system cut off. After reaching out to them they scheduled an appointment to come and correct the issues. It took almost a month along with two no shows (were I waited home all day) for the contractor to come out and spend a day and a half to rewrire the system and replace all non compliant equipment. About one week later I received a call from SunRun who stated they needed to send Onforce out to check the system as it was not working to spec. After about a week of not being able to get a hold of anyone I escalated to the VP of service at sunrun. After about another week they finally sent out a third contractor to inspect the system. After about a 3 hour inspection and review of the system he concluded that the panels were still not wired correctly and the corrections were wrong and would need to be corrected yet again. He came out about a week later and spent over 8 hours making the corrections of the corrections and rewiring the system for the fourth time. This are the basics of my disaster don't have enough space to upload all the documentation and issues.
