WORST SOLAR COMPANY EVER!

WORST SOLAR COMPANY EVER! - I wish there is a way to give ZERO STARS! I went with these guys thinking that it is better to go with a Local Company assuming they would take care of any issues to win the trust of customers and for more referrals. But what a Nightmare! These guys have NO IDEA what they are doing! I paid $35,000 just to get ripped off by this company. My system has been installed Nov, 2022 (4 months after signing the contract) and my home is 15 years Old. I followed up with them regarding the issues for 3+ months and got fed up; not even a single issue has been taken care of till date. They just take your money, send few handyman (s) to install your system and that’s it. 1. First Question is: How in the World a 15-Year-Old Roof is good enough to Install Solar? Obviously, it’s my blunder mistake trusting their recommendation. They had told me that Roof is in Great Shape and good to go with Solar. I think they don't want you to go through Roof Changing Process as it may take long time to get it Approved by Insurance and get the actual Roof Changed! By that time, I can change mind or I may go with other Solar Companies, right? 2. Horrible Installation: - Most of the Cables are exposed on the Roof without conduit and no cocking which was the primary reason for my roof leak. How the Hell are they supposed to last for 25 years? Guess What? There is NO GROUND. God Forbid, if lightning strikes, without ground, wouldn’t the Whole Home be under risk? Here is the link to pictures showing all the installation issues; Just an FYI… This is not DIY install; this is a professional Installation done by Obsidian Solar who call themselves as REC Certified Installers. https://imgur.com/a/dpuKon4 3. They Come up with Stupidest Design Ever Possible! Again, you would think they know what they are Doing right? But unfortunately, they don’t. My Home is facing North. Best Direction to get More Production is South, South West, East, West and the Last Option is North. They installed 3 in North, 5 on the Lowest Part of the WEST (These gets Shade from Neighbor’s Tree and also from their Roof), 2 just on top of the Patio which gets shade around 4 PM. Basically worst Possible Design. Here is the link to pictures showing these panels at random places. https://imgur.com/a/S82XeVz They never ran the design thru me; I wish I asked them to show me the design; but I assumed that as a solar installer they know the best; so, let them deal with it. 4. Lowest Production: Obviously because of the Worst Possible design, my 35 Panels were not Producing Enough. I paid around $300+ or more even after installing SOLAR, after the SUMMER! Can you imagine the Agony of paying for Solar as well as $300+ of Power Bill during Winters? 5. Worst Customer Service: - So I talk to these guys and tell them why 8 of my Panels are Producing so low (literally 25% production). They are like, it’s common and nothing wrong with the Installation. Enphase App shows the Mirroring issue with Production and Consumption. There is no way for me to know how much I am consuming looking at the App. Here is a picture that I sent to the CEO of the company Ryan and he says, he doesn’t see any mirroring. https://imgur.com/a/2acGdBn I call these people show them the pictures and ask them why my consumption only goes higher (mirrors) when my system is Producing. The CEO of the Company Ryan Ondras asks me “If I know what Mirroring means?”. Can you imagine hearing these kinds of responses from them? 6. Panel Mapping (ARRAY): Array built was completely Random and not in Order; I can clearly see that there are 8 panels that are producing 25% of what rest of the panels are producing, but no one knows where exactly these under producing panels are placed on my roof. 7. Ryan Ondras (CEO) of the company does some dragging and dropping of the Panels in the App and Marks all the 8 Lowest Producing Panels as though they are in South. How is that even logically making sense? He tells me all those in SOUTH are producing less. What kind of Moron one has to be to say that without laying out an array using a sticker sheet? He also says there is Chimney in your Roof that must be blocking it. Why the Hell would they install it in that place then? Chimney can block 8 Panels? Seriously Dude? I asked all these questions. But whenever I ask a Logical Question, he will stop responding to the message. 8. There is another guy named Brady Bender. He says, System is Functioning Great and there is nothing wrong with it. At one point, Ryan told me there is nothing he can do to help and I should be dealing with Brady. Both of these guys don’t give a Shit about Customer Service! Period! 9. I went through so much agony that I would like to know if there is a way to sue them. 10. We had so much Rain and the Roof started leaking. So, I had to call Roofer to check on the Roof. Roofer comes and check on the Roof and he is just shocked and tells me how the Hell anyone can install Solar on this roof and he tells me that Obsidian Solar literally Vandalized my Roof! 11. Based on the Roofer recommendation, I had to file Claim for Roof Change and luckily my Insurance Company approved for it to be changed as well as to remove and reinstall the Solar Panels. 12. By God’s Grace, I used this opportunity to come out of this Nightmare company and went with Another reputed Solar installer (who was recommended by several people based on customer service) to remove my panels, to redesign my panels and to reinstall them! 13. Now with new Design same 35 Panels are Producing way more (at least 20kwh more/day) and I am very happy with it. 14. Obsidian Solar got to know that someone else did the installation and Voided my Warranty. Guess What? I am just so happy to be out of this Nightmarish experience and Unprofessional Company I have ever Seen! 15. Another funny thing is, I got to know that my panels were not registered with REC Group even though I am closer to completely 5 months. Timeline to register the panels is 6 months. 16. As part of the selling process, these guys mentioned that the solar insurance from Solar Insure is complimentary when we go thru them, this is also included with in the quote they provided. Funny thing is that they never even registered me with Solar Insure and I got to know this when I called Solar Insure to check what are my options as these guys are not responding or fixing any issues. Solar Insure asked us for the contract and when I sent them the contract, they reached out to Obsidian Solar and got mine registered. Whoever is reading the Review, please know that everything I stated above is 100% True and I can show proof of Text Messages I had with CEO of the Company. Whatever you guys do, PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!
