NY State Solar

Solar Panels

Doug Brown was very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. He got back to me right away was always professional. He made the transition process very smooth. I would recommend him to my family and friends.

Super happy

Super happy with the service. Fast and easy and made it happen. Sharif was amazing and super informative. Can’t wait to see the savings.

Solar is Great

Good service, exceptional quality of work. Solar is producing more than the expected projections. Honestly, couldn’t ask for anything more. Sharif went beyond his means to make sure I was fully satisfied. I’ve had solar for over 6 months now and I monitor my solar and I have a bunch of extra power so I’ve decided to buy an electric car as well. I’m super glad and wish I transitioned earlier to solar power.

Super Satisfied

The only company that made it work. Sharif made it happen where everybody else told me I wasn’t qualified. I’m super satisfied and can’t wait to start saving. Super fast process while still ensuring I understood it

Amazing Service

Honestly, very happy to work with Sharif and NYSS. They made the process very easy for us. Installation was a one day project as promised and the system looks great. So far, the sales rep has been very helpful and supportive from day one. I will definitely be recommending to everyone I know.

Profesional, knowledgeable and Reliable

My experience has been great right from the beginning when I first met with Tim Nunn who is a director a director of sales for NYSS. He explained the whole system in detail, Tim is very knowledgeable, profesional and with a lot of experience in Solar Power Systems. On top of that, he is also very reliable, he is always available to answer any questions .

Amazing Work

I had a great experience working with Sharif Udin. From the sales process all the way through installation, he walked me through every step and made everything easy to understand. He was always available whenever I had a question, consistently followed up, and was extremely helpful and informative throughout the entire process. What stood out to me the most was that he kept his word from beginning to end. Everything he said he would do, he followed through on, and that meant a lot to me. Great communication, great customer service, and a very positive experience overall. I would definitely recommend Sharif!

Horrible service!

Left me for weeks with a leaking roof...after I needed someone to do a quick patch up job because I was concerned about my ceiling collapsing on me or my children after horrible rain storms. Then the company did nothing...because the patch job voided the warranty! Garbage! Also changed appointments and didn't show up.

hi, my name is Kelly.I just had solar installed in my house and the sales is David Rodriguez he is very professional courteous very happy with the service I received from them. The installation went really well. I got a new roof out of the deal I have a slight problem one of the leaders wasn't installed so they came right back and installed it. They're also doing a new flashing for me that I requested so that's been taken care of overall I've been very happy with the service and the so far and anybody who's looking to look into solar to speak to David R and see what he can do for you here you go thank you

It was absolutely amazing interacting with Joshua McCarthy, who personally sat with my husband and I. He was exceptionally helpful and clear with the answers to the ”many” question we both had regarding Solar. Joshua put all our misconceptions and reservations to rest!! We were absolutely convinced that Solar was a wise choice, and a smart investment!! We not only got our roof replaced, but our Solar panels were also installed within days of each other…Needless to say, we’re very pleased with the efficiency and professionalism of both the Roofing Company, and the NYSS Installers. We will definitely recommend NYSS to anyone who is interested, but unsure of the process. The Installation was smooth, and clear communication every step of the way was provided. A specials thank you to Shaq & Quincy, (Marketing Reps)for their professionalism, patience and persistence..Great job guys👏👏 A special thank you to Joshua & your Team 🙏🏽🙏🏽

Good looking system

I had a great experience working with Pedro Johnson at NY State Solar. Pedro was professional, knowledgeable, and very responsive throughout the entire process. There was a minor wiring issue during the installation, but Pedro and his team identified it and fixed it right away before everything was completed. I really appreciated their attention to detail and commitment to making sure the job was done properly. Overall, I’m very happy with the experience and would definitely recommend Pedro Johnson and NY State Solar to anyone considering solar.

Pedro Johnson has been very easy to work with and informative, the install is complete as was scheduled and men the field were polite clean and very efficient. We are currently awaiting inspection and for the system to be activated.. hopefully it will be an electrical consumption cost savings as promised

It has been a great experience with the gentlemen Sharif and the installation crew. The sales guy was very sincere and I'd highly recommend him to absolutely anybody. Every company has told me no and that I'm not qualified but this company made things happen with absolutely no credit or income required. The panels look fabulous, I'm so glad I made the switch to Solar power.

Best thing to happen next to Costco 1.50 hot dogs and a drink

I love my solar company, I've had multiple companies come to my door but they never seem to give me the rundown on how things work but pedro sat down with me broke it down every step of the way and told me how much I could be saving and how awesome it is to generate power and use the power to power up all the appliances in my house so I don't overspend on electricity with Con Edison. I owe my gratitude to Pedro for setting me up with this solar company I couldn't ask for more. If I had to choose between Costco's $1.50 hot dog drink special and solar power I probably choose solar power because of Pedro.

I chose I chose a company because Tahir sheikhs presentation was really good. Help me learn more about it. And did my research, and then I decided it would be beneficial for me and my family as far as saving money in the future. The roof install was fairly quick. Did a great job and looked good. And they cleaned up without any problems afterwards. So I would recommend it to any and cost-effective didn't really cost much. We didn't really have to come out-of-pocket. To do the roof in so that was awesome. The Solar, all the solar so far so good. I haven't had any issues that we had. The inspector came, they approved, and we've been, we've been an assistant. Been activated, we haven't had any issues. And I like it so far. So that

Scammers stay away!!!

THIS COMPANY IS SCAM! STAY AWAY!!!! This is y they have get no business, please reaserch them and on bbb they lie and trick people to get in contract to sew you if you back out once u notice the scam n they will harrass you for 5000 then 2200 for no installation no panels no work they only trick old people into contract!! Be aware!!

Scam scam scam

Beware of this company beware of a salesman named Tim and everyone else in that office. You will be lied to. They will try to manipulate the numbers in front of you but the numbers don’t make sense if you sign they will harass you until you get it done and force you into it by trying to force large fees on you if you don’t go ahead with it do the math 3% per year you will be paying more than $30 more after 10 years and $60 more after 20 . It doesn’t make sense. Be very careful if you sign a contract with them. They showed up at my house without even making an appointment and just started doing the work.

Great experience

Hi my name is Ms. Mathis, I went solar with NYSS. My experience with this solar company and William was a great experience. The company was very professional, helpful, pleasant while I was going through this experience of getting solar from the company. I had solar from about a little over a year and I have experience a great decrease in my electric bill, which I was very happy in getting solar with NYSS company.

Solar panels

Yesterday the crew from NYSS came and put our panels on the roof. They were professional, clean and fast. Thanks to Taz and Jim for their professionalism in explaining everything and being so patient with all our questions. Can’t wait to start saving $$. !!!

Gianni was great the whole time and made sure we went with the best option for our house and our family. Super easy process would highly recommend.

We had an exceptional experience working with Sharif Uddin who is our Project Manager. Throughout our entire solar journey he has always been present. From the very beginning, Sharif made the process incredibly easy to understand. He broke everything down step by step, from reviewing our energy usage, explaining system design, incentives, and to setting clear expectations for installation and timelines. Nothing ever felt confusing or overwhelming because Sharif always took the time to explain things in a simple, straightforward way. What truly sets Sharif apart is his availability and follow through. He always answers the phone, responds quickly, and consistently follows up to make sure everything is going smoothly and that we’re completely comfortable with each stage of the process. It was clear that he genuinely cared about making sure we got the best possible deal and the right system for our home, not just making a sale. The company itself was just as impressive. Everything was well organized, professional, and transparent from start to finish. The installation crew was punctual, respectful, and highly skilled. They worked efficiently, kept the site clean, and took the time to answer questions during the install, which gave us even more confidence in the quality of the work being done. Overall, Sharif made what could have been a complicated project feel smooth and stress free. Thanks to his leadership, communication, and dedication, we feel extremely confident in our investment. We highly recommend Sharif Uddin and his company to anyone considering solar, you’ll be in excellent hands.

Solar Is Great

I worked with Sharif from NYSS. I’m glad he stopped by because not only did he help me, he was able to help my little brother in the Bronx and also my cousin in queens. I no longer have to worry about con Edison and their rate hikes as I was able to get solar at a much lower cost. I was able to convert my house to fully electric so I no longer have to pay for gas. The solar gives me enough power to both heat and cool my house. The process was so simple and quick, I just sat at home and waited for Sharif to handle everything for me. He was great and so was his crew.

My program manager‘s presentation was the best out of any company that I ever sat with the way he educated me because of his knowledge is what helped me make the decision to move forward with New York State solar The team that came to install, the solar panels were very professional. They did everything within the day they did clean up all the mess. None of our neighbors complained, and the job was absolutely fantastic. I had solar panels on my roof before I even realized that. Anytime I needed anything from my program manager he was always there quick and fast My program manager is Tahir sheikh there are photos below of me and him

Outstanding job!

Great experience from start to finish. Quality work and great customer service, from sales representative, Pratik Shirsath, to the installation team! Job well done.

The Best!

I sm so happy with the whole process! Scott Askinazi was wonderful, he explained in detail the benefits I would obtain and guided me every step of the way, the whole process took less than 60 days! Pretty incredible. Scott is personable and knew his stuff. Thank you!!

The worst company

I had solar panels installed by NYState Solar. Shortly after installation, my roof started leaking. My dining room and living room got destroyed by the leaks. Their crew came to my house a few times to do shady patchwork. Their manager, Michael Silva, claimed he didn't know who installed the panels, and the leak was not caused by them. However, I haven't had any issues prior. They did the most horrible patchwork. Everything is still leaking since installing solar panels with NY State Solar. No accountability at all.

Excellent Choice!

After researching many solar companies, I decided to go with NY Solar — and I’m glad I did. From their account representative, Joseph Hawes, to the service crew and installation team, everyone was professional and met all of my expectations. Even when issues came up, they addressed them promptly. As you'll learn, there are many steps involved in the process before your panels are up and running. Throughout it all, NY Solar kept me informed and delivered everything on time, just as they promised. I highly recommend them to anyone considering going solar.

Do NOT recommend - (2 years installed)

Nothing but headaches from the beginning. I’ve had blackout days of no solar recorded for days and weeks at times (I don't check the solar edge app all the time why would I have to if it worked) during peak time and I have lost out on banking. Anytime you call to get a question asked you are passed along or asked to leave your name and number and nothing happens. I paid cash for my panels, so I’ve donated to the cause. Avoid at all cost from my experience.

We were fortunate to work with Ramon Mariano with NY State Solar. Ramon was very nice, courteous and a true professional. He was extremely informative and took the time to answer several questions. Ramon explained everything thoroughly and there was no pressure whatsoever. The installation was efficiently and expeditiously completed as scheduled. Ramon followed-up every step of the way and we highly recommend him.
