Poor customer service
The company canceled Fridays appointment and rescheduled for thanksgiving, Then neither canceled nor showed up. Doesnt know how to service their equipment after installs. Doesnt know how to set up a schedule, doesnt know how to get a job done, did a site survey and f'ed it up and i could go on. Seriously don't pay these guy until the jobs complete and you better have insurance cause you cant trust them according to these other reviews.

Unprofessional
We have been shopping for solar and Sun Solar was in our top 2 final choices. However, they lost the sale because their office and our sales rep, Jenny, called or texted us constantly despite us saying we were still reviewing and had questions but would get back to them when we were ready. Jenny's final text was "If you do not want solar, let me know, I am very busy and will move on." When I called her to say spamming a potential client is poor business practice after they have asked you to refrain, I was told she did not need advice from me, then proceeded to talk over me loudly. Last I checked, a good salesperson LISTENS to their client and does not berate them. I suppose she just made our decision easier as now we will choose the other company. If this is their sales process, I can only imagine what their installation and service might be like.

Poor customer service
Really sad customer service. Sun Solar replaced my original inverter back in 2021 since my initial installer had gone out of business. They had me sign an administrative transfer of rights to monitor my system and had a tech come out and do the work. He was great, and no issues, until that inverter quit working in less than two years. This was a warranty claim, and instead of taking care of it, they told me I wasn't a customer and they're not taking on any new customers. So you have administrative rights to monitor my system and I've paid you $380 in labor to fix my system in the past, (after being quoted $280), but I'm not your customer? What a bunch of bs that is. Why monitor a system you have no intention of helping fix if there's an issue? I asked them to send me a form to revoke those monitoring rights. Find another company that will stand behind their work. Instead of scheduling a tech for half a day they left me stranded with no working inverter and no company to fix it. I'll be leaving this review every place I can find to leave it. Hopefully it keeps others from contacting this company.

Poor service, incomplete installation
Had a Generac pwrcell system installed with battery's March of 2022. Everything was fine until September when we had a power outage and the main inverter failed. Took over a month to get someone out to look at it and longer to get it fixed. I asked for the pv map and they installed 6 strings on 2 inverters for a total of 10.8kw. Completely unnecessary considering that each inverter can handle 15kw of pv power. This is where the incomplete installation comes in. Only 5 strings were ever working at any one point. When they removed the Snaprs they connected to a different pv optimizer and it finally showed up on the Dashboard view but the other one that was previously connected shows that it's deactivated. Their technician seems to be hung up on my utility voltage being 252v saying it's too high. However, I have one inverter that has never failed plus the installation manual says the inverters can go up to 260v. They clearly don't know the product they were selling and then never finished installation or did any timely repairs. I just made my 1st payment on this system and it's only worked properly for 6 months. If I could go back I'd avoid this company.

Big company with small company customer service
Sun solar is a big company with even better customers service and stands behind their work til every is complete. I had a $120k system installed by them we had some hiccups alone the way mostly small manufacturer issues but they stood by my side, sat on the phone for me with generac (hours, alot of hours) and got all updated replacement parts and installed with no extra cost. Also Brian (lead service/installation manager) on my installation/service was so knowledgeable that I wish I picked his brain for weeks before I designed my system but with him by my side we built one of the biggest and well designed residential systems that sun solar installed to date. Just heads up they can install generators and batteries systems as well. One more note they did this all during covid bull and never made and excuse they just performed. I highly recommend doing alot of research on solar, battery back up and generators before you buy system but no need to research best company to complete. Sun solar and their teams are number one from start to finish. Thanks for your great service Jess!!

We have had nothing but Trouble
We bought our system last year, and have nothing but trouble with it since we did. First when they installed it, they installed in the wrong place, meaning now its covered by shade part of the day. They also cut the electric line to our well house and blamed it on others. They didn't hook it up right so I had to wait for the electric company to allow it to be turned on. I had the system in my yard for a month before it ever worked. Then it only works part of the time, the monitoring we were promised doesn't happen, Our system is only making 1/4 of the electricality we expected it to make. We still have a high electric bill and now a payment for the solar as well. Once they have your money they do not care what happens to you as a customer, we even wanted to buy two panels to replace some broken ones and no one even called us back with a quote. Now my inverter isn't even turned on so that means I am making no power at all and NO one will even call us back. DO not do it.

Solar Install
Had solar installed the beginning of summer 2021, and have not had a utility bill since installation. The only fee I’ve had to pay is $9.12, which is the utility company’s customer charge. I even have credits! Professional from start to finish! Highly recommend Sun Solar!

sun solar is the only company to use to install a solar system!!
i have been thinking about going solar for years now, and when i talked to Danny Dees, i decided it was time. he was very knowledgeable about the system, and about the timeline it would take, (and it happened) if i called him with a concern, or just a question, if he did not know he did not hesitate to call the correct person to find out. and as for the rest of the crews, (installers, electricians, even the people in the offices). Glad i made the decision to go solar with SUN SOLAR

Worst company ever
This company improperly installed the wiring on my solar setup. and when it burned up the inverter, they will not warrant it. The error is obvious, but since I took the switch cover off to see what was burned, they voided the warranty. STAY AWAY FROM THEM!
