Midwest Solar Power

Superb

We were so pleased to have Midwest Solar come and install an inverter that we had from another company that had gone bankrupt. Midwest Solar stepped up to the plate and helped us out. We are so grateful for thieir service. We had been without our solar panels working for over a year and now they are working excellently. We are so glad that someone finally recommended this to us. They did a superb job. I highly reommned them.

Everyone was really great to work with. Project manager for our install was always on top of things and kept me updated at every step. Getting the quote was easy and Rick was knowledgeable and great about answering all my detailed and in depth questions. They were by a wide margin the most affordable quote I received but absolutely nothing about the system or the install was “budget.” High end panels, high end inverters, quality monitoring system, and everything installed without issue and looks great.

5 stars for work and timing, my original installer went out of business. Midwest was the only solar company willing to remove and reinstall my panels for a roof replacement. In addition to replacing inverters under warranty, very pricey but they solve my issue.

We had a great experience with Midwest Solar!! Their team was highly communicative throughout the entire process, and the installation itself was smooth and straightforward. What really stood out to me was how simple and transparent everything was. My friends warned me that solar was an area where financing, installation, and pricing is tricky… Midwest Solar was refreshingly clear and easy to work with. No upsells. They were also very knowledgeable about expected system output and walked me through how everything ties into the app. They’re a great local solar company with a very professional team, and the finished job looks excellent. I’d absolutely recommend Midwest Solar to others.

Outstanding!

Very happy with this group! They know their stuff, explain things well to the customer, and help with all of the paperwork with Alliant and Focus on Energy. We highly recommend them!

Fast, professional, quality

Had a fantastic experience with Midwest solar. They were super knowledgeable, very responsive throughout the whole project, professional and fast. I highly recommend them for anyone looking to get rooftop solar

Excellent experience throughout the design and installation process! Sales lead provided thoughtful design options, answered questions, and provided the best price compared to other vendors. Electrician accommodated our preferences for routing the wiring. Install team set clear expectations and was friendly and efficient. Main office handled all the utility paperwork with clear and timely communication throughout.

Our partner

Our partner in student led solar installation! They worked with High School student led Green Team - our team raised the funds and Midwest became our install partner.

Take a Serious Look at this Company. We Think they are the Best.

Midwest Solar Power not only did an amazing job executing the installation of the equipment, compared with other companies it won hands down in terms of professionalism. While some larger companies took a condescending tone, Midwest listened to our needs and responded with helpful information based on those needs. Midwest stood out from all other companies in that after a site analysis they demonstrated their knowledge by outlining a system based on our needs from the roof structure to the engineering of the system. Instead of doing a hard sales pitch, Midwest offered a complete system that covered all the bases. Finally, Midwest had first hand knowledge of how MG and E, the local electricity supplier, would respond to the application of the solar system. Unlike other companies, there was no song and dance. I unreservedly recommend Midwest Solar Power for home solar needs.

Watts Not to Like?

Midwest Solar exceeded expectations. The team was knowledgeable, professional, and easy to work with. They provided clear pricing for multiple system options and helped us find the best fit. Installation was smooth and on time, and they guided us through every step of the process. Overall, a great experience — highly recommend them if you're considering solar.

Best choice for solar in southern WI!

Our neighbor referred us to Midwest Solar and we are 100% happy with our panels, installed January 2024. The quote from another leading solar company was 50% higher than Midwest; Tom and the team at Midwest patiently answered all of our questions and we're sure we made the best choice. In spring/summer months we have had credits on our electric bill, even when running our AC.

Having moved this year, it was my second solar panel installation by Midwest Solar Power. The management up to the install date and after was well organized. The day of installation went quickly. The crew showed up on time and efficiently split duties between the panel installers on the roof and the electrical wiring crew in the basement. All was done by early afternoon just in time for the sun to come out. After 3 weeks, the on-line monitoring system shows the panels are providing clean electricity to our home and the grid. Good experience. I recommended Midwest Solar Power to my neighbor.

Friendly competent professionals. So glad we found them right out of the gate. Highly recommend this company.

They were great! From the initial quote, site survey, final quote, to installation and follow ups it was nearly zero effort from me. They handled everything, even down to applying for a local energy grant for me.

Great work by union experienced employees who know the code.

I had several solar companies give me bids. Some were pushy and like inviting a car salesmen to your home. They installed a 24Kw solar system with a back up 25kw generator. They had the best price. I watched and inspected their work. They treated their work at my place like it was their own home. They did a great job. Only issue I had wasn't with them but with the power company and the waiting period I had to endure for my net metering to kick in.

Outstanding

Midwest Solar Power is an outstanding company! I did my homework when looking for a solar contractor and contacted several companies. Midwest Solar was extremely honest, personable, and easy to work with. Their price was great and used industry leading components. Our point of contact Michael was very well organized and quick to respond to any questions. You can tell everyone at the company has a passion for solar and the quality of work reflects that. The installation team was fast and friendly. Our 8.5kW system was installed in one day. I would highly recommend Midwest Solar Power. Thanks again!

Fantastic Company!

We recently had a 10.5Kw system installed by Midwest Solar Power LLC and things couldn't have gone better! We asked 5 companies for information and quotes on a system for our home and received a mix of responses from hard sells with gimmicks to no/delayed follow up after questions. Michael from Midwest Soar Power quickly followed up on any questions we had, he set up an on-site visit (considerate of COVID practices) to measure my roof and design a system that would best work for us, and gave us a very competitive bid with quality components. He explained all the advantages/disadvantages in the various types of components to assist us with our decision making. He also helped us through options for financing and existing rebates. All of this personal interaction was without pressure. After signing the contract, his follow up with scheduling and paperwork with Alliant Energy was spot on and much appreciated. The install went a few days ahead of schedule and their crew did a super job and was nice to work with. The system was done in three days including all the electrical hook up and the job site was left spotless. Once Alliant gave us the approval to operate, we turned on the system and are now generating power that we can easily track online or through our phone app. The whole experience really couldn't have gone better! Thanks to Michael, Tom, and the whole crew for a superb job. Anyone looking for a similar install, won't go wrong with Midwest Solar Power.

Excellent Full Service Local Installer!

We worked with Midwest Solar Power to install an 8-panel solar photovoltaic system. Rik was extremely knowledgeable and helpful in answering our questions and laying out each step of the process. Rik and the installation crew were very professional, organized and clean. The entire project was completed in a timely manner with no complications. The system works flawlessly and has helped us cut our home's energy consumption substantially. One of the great features that Rik included with our system is access to the online portal that tracks power output on a minute-by-minute basis. It is really cool to have this added information that shows how many Watts our system is producing as well as the total production over any time period we input. We are extremely proud of the quality and performance of our system. We would like to expand it in the future and plan to work with Rik and Midwest Solar Power again. We are looking forward to many years of renewable energy in the future!
