Overview of Metro Solar
David started out as a service manager responsible for around 400 clients. After working for several solar companies in the metro area and attending solar thermal college courses, he decided to start his own company. Designing, installing, and servicing solar heating systems is what he has done for the last 24 years. This experience gave him a keen insight as to what type of systems work best in our changing Colorado climate. Mr. Woycio has passed that experience off to our trained technicians in the field. Although Metro Solar, Inc. is a small company, we have worked very hard to become one of the most experienced solar thermal heating companies in the state. From large commercial heating to smaller residential systems, you will find that each are designed and installed with quality and efficiency in mind. We only use field-tested, state-of-the-art solar components to ensure years of long-lasting service. With over 3000 solar systems designed and installed to date, we have an unmatchable advantage over any company in the state.

New Viessman boilers
I bought two new Viessman boilers from Metro Solar and had a very bad experience. The crew who installed the boilers told me they had never installed Viessman boilers before. One did not work. I was told it was an airlock, it was my fault, and I would have to pay for them to return to fix the problem. I refused. I read the Viessman guarantee and learned if I used untrained non-Viessman certified workers to do a repair on the boilers I would void my Viessman guarantee, which only covered parts and not the service call. I had to hire a certified Viessman technician to fix the problem. I was told it was not an airlock. I would never do business with Metro Solar again.

Dont waste your time
As other reviewers have noted you will want to avoid working with Dave and his team at Metro Solar. In my experience they are highly unprofessional and as a business philosophy seem to cut corners wherever they can on installations. Good luck getting any type of resolution when their corner cutting results in issues. I can think of no good reason to expose yourself to the risk of working with this company. You have been warned, but if for some reason you like to take chances with your time and money keep the following in mind. 1. Make sure they provide you with a detailed quote including an itemized breakdown of materials and labor costs. Failure to demand this could be costly. 2. Make sure they spell out exactly what their warranty on parts and labor covers, or you may find not much if anything is covered. 3. Lastly, save yourself the trouble and use another contractor.
