Solar project: excellence from planning to first SREC payment

It was an outstandingly great experience working with Mass Renewables from start to finish and all additional follow up. The owners, account manager (Sales), project manager, electricians, roof crew all work directly for the company and are highly competent, efficient and professional. Everyone did what they said they would do and showed up to the job site when they said they were coming and if had to postpone or reschedule which was only due to weather related circumstances gave as much notice as possible. This installation was done in Dec/Jan and the weather was tricky, but they pursued and got the job done in the agreed upon timeline. I did lot's of research for this project and talked to a company that represents several of the big national companies and spoke directly with 2 of the national companies and thought I was adequately education about solar energy and the best options available. As it turned out, I was given incorrect information at times and had information withheld that would have caused me to make poor decisions. It wasn't until I talked to Mass Renewables account manger, that I was able to adequately get all of the correct information and learn much more about my best option, which in my case was outright purchase of a system. I also looked at many installations done by the big national solar companies and they were not nearly as neat and nice looking as the Mass Renewable installations. For example, panel layouts and electrical conduit were poorly concealed in many of the national company installations I observed. Finally, after the installation, Mass Renewable made sure all the service vendors, i.e. utility company, monitoring company and SREC seller had my system registered and up and running before they considered the job complete. If you are looking to properly educate yourself on solar electricity and purchase the correct system for your property and you want quality work and project management at competitive prices, then these are the people you should contact.

Great End to End Experience

Working with Mass Renewables was such a great experience. From the initial sales process, they were not all pushy and were up front and honest, to the final closing meeting when the system and warranties were explained. They were extremely responsive whenever I had questions during any point in the process. Truly felt like I was working with a local small business, as opposed to a large national company. Their prices were better than anything else we researched and the product has been great. I have not had to pay one electric bill since the day the system was installed. Thanks Mass Renewables!

Outstanding service & value

I researched several other companies and was close to choosing a competitor when I discovered Mass Renewables through solarreviews.com. Since they were the highest rated company in Mass., I delayed my decision, got a quote from them, and ended up choosing them to install our system. Their pricing was highly competitive; they offered high quality products; and they were responsive in designing the system we wanted. Every person in the company we dealt with--salesman, installers, even phone receptionist--was knowledgable, respectful, courteous, and straight forward. Every step of the process was clear. Every deadline was met on time. The quality of the service has been exceptional in every regard. We have neighbors who chose a different company at about the same time, and I was surprised and interested to see our installation actually looks better from outside. The Mass Renewables installers were better craftsmen and clearly took pride in their work. We couldn't be more pleased, and to top it off, the owner of the company himself came to deliver the warranties and provide additional information about the system and signing up for SRECs. No wonder their online reviews are so good. I am happy to add my own here. We recommend Mass Renewables highly and without reservation.

Great Workmanship Great Service Great Product

Did lots of research prior to interviewing several companies and Mass Renewables was the only company to answer all of my questions before asking. The sales team was by far more professional and knowledgeable than the others. They explained in detail how to achieve what I was looking for and their price was better than the rest. I was not focused on price but rather quality and service yet they exceeded in both. The panels blend right in with the house and have no visible conduit. Since we got it running I have not had a bill and last month's electric bill was -$56 credit how awesome is that. Mass renewables also explained several loans available that one can qualify for to receive additional credits. I have recommended Mass Reneawbles to others and I highly recommend anyone to take a look too.

Mass renewables did a fantastic job here... People don't realize that I have a roof full of panels unless I point it out to them. I don't have walls full of conduits and metal piping and wires... The only pipe from the roof is very cleverly hidden against some molding... it's barely noticeable. Great install by a local company... The equipment is all performing as advertised, I have not had an electric bill since we went online in august. The power wall has provided reliable backup power in four 5 min outages as well as one 14 hour outage so far. This system has been exactly what I hoped it would be and Mass Renewables did it at a price that really just crushed everyone else... between the price and the tidiness of the installation, which wasn't something that I cared about in the first place... I came into this thinking that I would have a bunch of metal pipes between my roof and my meter and that i'd have to paint them or cleverly place plants around them.... I didn't have to do any of this... I have one small barely noticeable pipe that is tucked into some moulding. Im extremely happy with everything about this project as a whole and I highly recommend Mass renewables.

Easy Process

MASS Renewables dod a great job outfitting our house with solar panels. We are very glad to have made the decision to do our part. The company was very easy to work with, very accessible and always happy to answer our questions. After the system was installed, we had a thorough walk-through the components of the system. Outstanding customer service and high-quality installation

I met with several solar companies before choosing Mass Renewables and there’s no question I made the right choice. Dianne is very knowledgeable about solar and continued to impress me with her responsiveness. Whenever I had a question (there were quite a few throughout the process), she would always return my call or send an email the same day with a thorough explanation. These are qualities that are hard to find these days. As for the installation, the entire crew was friendly and treated my home as if it were their own. The quality of the installation really sets Mass Renewables apart from other companies. All of the panels are symmetrical with no visible wires or conduit. While there was a slight issue with a few of the panels not producing power the first few days, the team came back to troubleshoot within a week and replaced the faulty hardware. You can tell they truly care about making things right for customers.

100% Satisfied Environmentally-Conscious Residential Customer

As a new homeowner, I knew one of the first modifications I wanted to make on my house was to add solar panels. After doing my due diligence by speaking with several residential solar panel providers, I easily chose MassRenewables for several reasons: 1. Chad Chviek knew what he was talking about - he knows the technical details and understands the electric field. 2. He answered all my nit-picky questions and alleviated any concerns. 3. He explained the processes and timeline from installation to solar renewable energy credits. 4. The whole team also worked diligently with the Town of Shrewsbury to get all the permitting and inspection done - there isn't much solar here yet because they're a municipality and have certain requirements. All these reasons made me feel like I could trust the company to really cater to my needs and showed they care about the customers AND the environment. Everyone at MassRenewables are just great people to work with. This is in stark contrast to other solar companies I dealt with. The price was good too! The whole installation and follow up was timely and easy. Definitely recommend MassRenewables for solar power!!!

Home Run by Mass Renewables

As a rookie (and detailed oriented) residential prospective customer, I needed to work with a patient and knowledgeable person to fully understand the design and economics of a system. And that is just what Mass Renewables offered. And the install was on-time, on-budget, and was followed by more patience with all my questions. I love the Solar Edge on-line portal to monitor the real time and historical performance of my system, Proforma and actual performance indicates this will be an excellent investment. And, as a bonus, everyone I worked with was a nice person and very professional. Mass Renewables has earned my highest respect.

Finally Got Solar at our Residence in Central Mass :))

I choose Mass Renewables based on a combination of my own research, the face-to-face visit and telephone conversations I had with Dianne Martz. Dianne impressed me straight away and was very thorough, but not pushy. The detailed proposal(s) she presented (initial and BAFO) was a major factor in my final decision to go with Mass Renewables even though they were not the lowest cost of the 4 bids I reviewed. Larry was also great as was the entire survey and install crew who worked diligently to design and complete my project on time and at budget. Jeff and Mike (Co-Founders) were also very helpful throughout the process and were willing to work with me on a modified payment plan since I bought my system outright vice leasing. Overall I had a near perfect experience with the entire Mass Renewables Team and would definitely recommend them to anyone who is considering going Solar. Given them a call, they won't disappoint.

Mass Renewables - Highly Recommended!

I had been interested in getting solar panels for a while and I am very happy that I finally took the plunge. The whole Mass Renewables team is extremely friendly and professional and took the time to answer all of my many questions before, during and after the installation. The quality of the installation is top notch. It took some time for me to make my decision, but at no time was there any pressure to buy, which means a lot to me. There were a few hickups (a couple of days of lost production) traced back to an Inverter firmware issue, but all in all, the installation was on schedule and exactly as quoted. I've recommended Mass Renewables to a few people already

The Real Deal

These guys were incredible. We recently moved into a home with a lot of roof exposed to sunlight. Just to see, we checked with a few solar companies and were so blown away by the detailed proposal - technical, social and financial, we ended-up making the decision to convert to solar. The whole process seemed very detailed and ended-up going amazingly smooth with no involvement on our part beyond signing some stuff from time-to-time. Now a month later we can't wait to get our once-dreaded Electric bill to see a big $0 due!

Use Mass Renewables!

Would it be possible to leave a review worthy of the excellent work done by Mass Renewables? Probably not, but I’ll give it my best shot anyway. From the our first point of contact with the company, every employee has been extremely friendly, communicative, and, most importantly, knowledgeable about the solar installation process. Never once did my wife or I feel as though our home was just one in a long line of projects for Mass Renewables; every time we had a question, regardless of whether it was about financing, hardware, or warranties, we received prompt and informative responses. If you can’t yet tell, the staff at Mass Renewables is dedicated to providing superior customer service. That all being said, such top-rate customer service wouldn’t be worth much without quality hardware to back it up. Here again, Mass Renewables doesn’t just provide, they shine (pun intended). During the initial negotiations, Mass Renewables offered a bevy of solar panel options to us. With so much jargon involved, they could easily have steered us to their most expensive model; instead, they helped us sort through all the statistics and create a system that would meet the needs of our little family. Now that panels have been active for several months, I can also report that we’re generating electricity at just the clip Mass Renewables estimated. In sum, to the Mass Renewables staff, bravo on all your hard work. I, for one, greatly appreciate the care you’ve shown us. To my fellow Central Mass community members who may be considering joining the solar family: do yourself a favor and call Mass Renewables first. It’ll be the only call you make, I promise.

Excellent solar array for my single family home in the burbs

Very smooth installation and the system performs awesome. The installers were very neat and clean with everything and did a great job routing the internal wires an inverter install etc. Solaredge's remote monitoring is simple to use and gives you good insight as to how your system is performing. Very happy with the results. I've got an 11.8 kW array with 10.5 kW inverter.

Great Company - Would Highly Recommend

I had searched around for solar companies, and tried out some local competitors that were running promotions. The other companies were terrible. Very disorganized, would not show up to scheduled appointments, and I was told it would take months for installation. I called Mass Renewables and Dianne came to the house within days with a plethora of information that was very organized and easy to understand. They ran a detailed quote for us and the numbers looked great, so we decided to go for it. They had the system installed so fast, and it was up and running within weeks, so we were able to take advantage of the summer sun. The install crew were very nice and professional. And the office team were great with responding to emails and questions, and handling all the contracts and loan information. We have been up and running for 3 months now, and our electric bill is basically non-existent. Definitely a great purchase!

Mass Renewable Review

I bought solar from Mass Renewables one you ago and am very pleased with the product. Every member of the team I worked with was extremely professional and easy to work with. They were quick with responses and always had my best interest with their responses. They also do not subcontract if there is an issue and there 25 year warranty best all the other companies we looked into. The collaboration with mass save also gave us a super low interest rate of 1% because mass save pays 3 percent of the total loans. The incentives are through the roof and the product has been great and easy to monitor from the solar edge app. I recommend looking into this product.

Very Positive Experience

Everyone we dealt with at Mass Renewables was professional, informative and pleasant.This started with the salesperson, continued with the electrical and panel installation crews and ended with the final walk through by the manager. They were also the most competitively priced. The system is working well and I would recommend Mass Renewables to others.

Amazing Job

We have been reviewing solar and benefits for about a year now and sat down with 2 national companies and 1 other smaller company. My wife and I now wish we had just talked to Mike and Dianne from Mass Renewables at the start. Mike and his team were awesome to work with. They gave us an in depth report of what the system will do and how much it will produce, all while patiently answering any of our questions and not pushing us at all. They worked around our busy schedule and the install team was fabulous and got the job done in two days. The system looks great, cant see any conduit, and is working perfectly. I cant say enough good things about their work and would recommend anyone looking to go solar to give them a call!!!

Amazing solar system

We had our solar system installed and turned on a little over a month ago now. We bought our house a little over a year ago now, did a lot of research and sat with three other companies before going to Mass Renewables. Mike and his team were awesome to work with answered all our questions without pushing us and delivered on exactly what they said they would. The install team was awesome and worked arround our busy schedule and had the work done in 2 days. There timing and follow up were above and beyond what we expected. I highly recommend anyone looking into solar to call mass renewables, I just wish we had called them first instead of wasting our time with other companies.

Great Job

Mike and the team from Mass Renewables were fantastic. It took me a long time to make my decision on solar. I must have emailed Mike a hundred times with questions. Then I moved and emailed him another hundred times. He patiently answered each question. There was no hard sell, just a friendly person to talk to and educate me while I considered the investment. Once I made up my mind to move forward Mass Renewables had a process that was well thought out and moved right along. I think they were only at my house for a couple of days. They worked around my schedule which was busy. There were no issues, no excuses they just came to work and did the job. They pulled all the permits, did the installation and had it inspected. After the work was complete Mike scheduled an appointment and stopped by to explain everything we needed to know about the system including the warranty information. It has been about 2 months now and we are extremely happy with our decision to go with Mass Renewables. They did a great job on the project. I would use them again and highly recommend them.
