I wish I could give zero stars. I've given them 8 months since everything started to get messed up - and they still cannot get anything done. First issue was they didn't not calculate my usage correctly (they were provided with 3 years of bills, and no changes in usage) - this took 3 painful calls to 'resolve' but who knows if it's resolved. Second, there was a full month when they had no billing platform because they 'had a bad falling out with their carrier' - which was wildly unnerving. Third, when they finally had a billing platform again, without my permission I was switched to paperless, my billing period and due dates were changed and they changed their options for payment method. Lastly - I requested cancellation over 24 hours ago, and they still cannot confirm it's processed, all this knowing their billing is like 90 days behind, so when I CAN finally get this cancelled, I will still be paying for months. We have a horrible utility company in Maine, one of the lowest customer ratings in the country - but JoinSolar somehow makes them look good, which I thought was impossible. I'm an advocate of solar, so this whole thing has been really disheartening. But DO NOT USE JOIN SOLAR, unless you want nothing but issues. The people are nice, but unfortunately the company does them NO FAVORS with the horrible service they provide. **And edit, they don't even answer the phone anymore, probably because of so many complaints, you have to leave a message or email them to get any response. I can't say enough BAD things about this company.

I’ve tried calling multiple times, leaving voicemails, scheduling callbacks, and sent emails to 3 email addresses I could find. Zero response. I moved and am trying to cancel service and you can’t even do it online in your account! Definitely avoid this business.

Beware of this energy brokerage. I have had the same experience as many others. They increased my allocation to pull credits from three solar farms without my knowledge. This increased my bills fivefold. One representative claimed my account was canceled one month ago, while another said they are amending my allocations, which would be reflected on my next bill. This did not happen. Now they are offering me a payment plan and extending the payment due date so I can pay off a $600 bill. I have received five similar bills in the last three months. Rather than letting me close my account, they claim to have put my solar deal "on hold." However, I do not trust that anything has changed with my account, given the numerous different stories from various representatives over the last three weeks. I would not be surprised if I were hit with another $700 bill next week. I have asked multiple times to cancel, and now see no other course but to cancel the credit card that they have been automatically billing. If I do not receive confirmation of my account's cancellation, I see no other course but to take legal action.

Do not sign with them. Their cancellation policy is pure extortion, especially if you cancel because you had solar panels installed at your house. They charge you for months after, for electricity you generate yourself and offer credits only good for a year you'll never use unless your panels break. They will lie to you about the cancellation date even when have the the email proving the date of cancellation.

They say they will bill based on past usage...this is a lie. My bills started out reasonable but now they are trying to charge me over $300 a month when my bill with CMP has never been higher than $175 and that was they very highest ever. This company is a SCAM.
