Icon Solar

Icon installed a system on our home in Cincinnati in December of 2016, and we added a few more panels a couple years later. The production estimates have been accurate to within 2% of what was predicted, and the system has remained free of any defects in installation or workmanship. I'd asked them to design me an old-school system with the focus on reliability over efficiency, which they did, and it has only needed one or two minor service visits in a decade, both of which were essentially system re-boots (that they responded to promptly). I later learned how to do them myself from you tube, as they are not any more complex than rebooting a desktop PC. Recommended Icon to two neighbors who had Icon systems installed in late 2025.

We had 52 solar panels installed by Icon in 2016. This month we had them remove existing panels so we could install a new roof. We then added 36 more panels and 2 Tesla Powerwall 3s. Extremely happy with the experience both times!

We had been thinking about solar for years but kept delaying it because the process sounded complicated. This company made everything surprisingly straightforward. The installers arrived exactly when promised, worked quietly, and finished before dark. Even my skeptical husband admitted the setup looked much cleaner than expected.

We installed solar panels for our farmhouse where power cuts happen almost every week. The technicians tested the backup system multiple times before leaving to make sure everything switched properly. Last night the electricity went out again, and our lights stayed on without any interruption. Huge improvement.

We loved working with Josh Edwards through Icon Solar to get our solar panels installed a few months ago! He was very helpful in explaining the whole process and has been super attentive every step of the way and has been wonderful with checking back in occasionally to make sure everything is still going smoothly. If you are interested in exploring solar, I can’t recommend working so Josh enough!

We had a very positive experience with Icon Solar. Their office staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and responsive. They worked with us to develop an installation that best served our needs. The installation crew (we had solar panels and electrical panel upgrade done on the same day) worked tirelessly and efficiently. Icon Solar also sent a dry wall mechanic to spruce up the wall where the larger electrical panel was installed. We really appreciated this thoughtful detail. We recommend Icon Solar highly. They were easy to work with, offered top-of-the-line products, and did an outstanding job.

Everything as specified

The salesman was knowledgeable. The installation was completed in less than a day. Everything has worked well. The company has stood behind the warranty. The only shortcoming was the high price. This is a very professional and effective organization.

Took the over 6 months to replace a micro inverter but that was not the problem still producing 1/2 of what the others are not it's like pulling teeth to get them out again EDIT 1/23/19: Icon Solar took care of the problem and did a lot more.

Icon Solar was the quickest responder when we were considering solar. Their sales representative, Marc, arrived promptly, provided great information up front , and answered questions without hesitation. Within a few days, we had a preliminary drawing for our 2 systems and had an opportunity to speak with Jay, the in house architect. We agreed on the contract and installation was completed approximately 5 weeks later. On the day of installation, there were 10-11 workers on our site, including Marc, the sales representative. Installation was completed in 1 day, with excellent care of our property and good clean up . They verified that allpanels and inverters were working properly, instructed us on the operation and monitoring of our 2 systems, and departed . We later added the varmint guard to keep put squirrels, birds, and leaves. Excellent , experienced , cordial workers. They worked through lunch and would not even allow us to buy them lunch. Our systems were correctly "sized" and are producing as predicted. Icon Solar did all of the paperwork for the power generator licenses and assisted us with the SREC sales set up. I have recommended Icon Solar to 5 friends and a few people that called me, and will continue to do so.

System was installed in late June, 2017. Installers were professional and fast and I was completely satisfied. The system has worked perfectly and is properly sized for our energy needs. Most months we pay the required minimum to cover the base meter fee and the taxes. On an annual basis we produce more energy for the grid than we consume from the grid.
