From start to finish what a pleasure to work with
Thanks to Drew, Loralee and project leader Joe Hughes, From initial contact, design and construction you all made the process of fullfilling our dream of having solar on our roof a reality. We were consulted every step of the way so far!!!! I could not believe the work ethic of their team. The workers descended on our house like a hive of bees, working so efficiently and respectfully for three days of "fun" in the sun. It was an amazing sight to see them working on our very steep roof. I kind of miss them, when they all drove up on time every morning of the installation. Getting to work and enjoying their work. I higly recommend this company. rk

Great Company with Great People did Great Work
I am very pleased with the work by the SunCommon team from beginning to end. We started the solar process at our homestead in New Scotland, NY as the Covid-19 pandemic hit, which delayed installation, but we picked right up as restrictions lifted. The SunCommon folks did most of the legwork for financing, kept me updated constantly with progress and next steps, and navigated the entire process well. The siting and installation crew was friendly, explained everything as they went, solved several challenges because of the layout of our property, and did a professional installation job of the ground-mounted solar array and the Powerwall battery backup in the basement. The crew paid attention to little details to ensure a quality installation that would last, and at the end were proud of their work in making a difference for the climate and sustainability one installation at a time. Thank you Lindsay, Loralee, Tim and Tim, Peter and Dave, and Mike and crew!!!

Best Solar Installer in Columbia County, NY
I had been looking to install solar for about two years and hesitated undertaking this project because I did not know much about the technology and my research pointed to the primary importance of the installation itself. My concern was to find a technically competent and ethically grounded company that would guide me to solar. After having unfruitful conversations with other solar installers, I realized that solar was a discretionary purchase and I needed to be as sure as possible that I was not going to buy any problems; I wondered whether it might be better not to proceed. And then I met Jen from SunCommon; she is a knowledgeable advocate for solar power and a terrific representative of her company. No hustle or sales pitch, much patience, and a willingness to listen to my concerns and wishes. I felt comfortable with her and never felt pressured to sign up on the dotted line. When I eventually did so, it was a four and a half page contract, clearly written, that was fair to both parties and a welcome contrast to other solar contracts I have read, one of them being around sixteen pages long; all these rejected contracts were weighted in favor of the company over the consumer. Not the case with SunCommon; both parties were granted access to a level playing field. When we were in the final planning stage before effecting the installation, I brought to Jen’s attention a safety concern that I believed should be addressed. According to code the solar panels needed to have an emergency cut-off switch located next to my electrical panel, but I pointed out that in an emergency---an extremely rare event such as a fire, which almost always is the result of a faulty installation; again, the install is the most important part of the project---the firefighters would have to gain access to my basement, in what might be a burning house. I strongly suggested that a second emergency cut-off switch be installed on the side of my house facing my driveway, providing easy and safe access to the firefighters. I was not at all surprised that SunCommon readily agreed and such a device was added to the project at no additional cost to me. Put simply, SunCommon cares. And so do the persons who work for it. Josh, who is the lead of an extraordinary install team, was technically expert and his crew knowledgeable and hard working. Moreover, they were friendly and respectful of our home; really good guys. So was Loralee, the Project Manager of the installation; she was patient and ready to accommodate and answer any question before, during and after the installation. It was a pleasure working with her and all her colleagues at SunCommon. I waited a couple of months before writing this review, to see if any problems might develop; none have, but I am confident that should something need be addressed and remedied SunCommon would stand up to the problem without delay or equivocation. SunCommon and its employees earned a five star review.

Really good experience
We got solar panels from previous company years ago and just had a Teslawall installed. Communication was excellent. They accommodated some family needs that came up during the process with ease and grace. They are efficient and also pleasant and fun. Recommend them unreservedly.

Top of the line professionalism
I interviewed several companies before choosing SunCommon. It didn't hurt that it's a Vermont company and I live in Vermont. It's a big purchase, and I was nervous that I'd get the 'big sell" and then it would all be a fight from there. Couldn't be farther from the truth. From day one, I have access to all members of the team, in a timely, professional and friendly manner. They have made a misstep or two, but have ALWAYS owned their responsibilities and made things right. Yesterday, my panels were finally installed and the team lead, Ryan Molyneaux was the epitome of professionalism. When a misunderstanding arose, he handled it promptly and professionally and I was more than satisfied with the outcome. He took time the explain things to me in a way I could grasp (electricity is not my forte), and expanded on things when I didn't even know what questions to ask. I was so impressed and grateful for his guidance of his team throughout the day. The system will be turned on within a week or two and I look forward to really engaging with the use of my solar panels. SunCommon, you have made this expensive endeavor a real pleasure and I'm so grateful that I chose to work with you.

Great team, competent and flexible.
Everyone at SunCommon is very helpful, professional and kind. Our installation was somewhat complicated as the panels are far from the house but they dealt with all the details in a very positive way.
