Chase and the HI Power Solar team, I had multiple solar power system issues - panels going down, inverter needing to be replaced, and water heater issues. There are a lot of Solar Power companies to choose from in Hawaii - how do I know who to work with to help me on my home!?!? Chase/HI Power Solar were patient and diligent through the whole process. Experienced, accomplished, and kind. Chase educated, provide options, trouble shot all possibilities, respected my input, addressed questions, and made me feel like we were on the same team. He worked with me as the client - had my interests in mind. I did not feel pressured or that I was being sold something. He provided feedback/expertise (he was clearly a veteran in the industry) and would challenge me appropriately so that I made the best decision for my family and home. Solar power systems is a long-term game. Chase and HI Power Solar set me up for success. They addressed each issue, one at a time and never pushed. Full system upgrades and small tweaks/changes - every step was a good outcome and experience. Many long conversations, time spent at the house, over many weeks. I felt good about Chase - thats why I chose him over other companies. Im 100% glad I did. If you want to keep you home in good condition and have a positive experience while doing it - HI Power Solar is who you should go with.

Josh and Ezekiel came to my home to replace a burnt out inverter. They did an outstanding job. Very professional and explained lots of stuff I wish I knew before. Great team. The leaders at the main office in Pearl City, Chase and Cruz were exceptionally patient and helpful. I highly recommend Hi Power Solar. Local company in Pearl City who are very responsive. Excellent customer service.

I had an inverter replaced under warranty installed by a company that is no longer in business and HI Power did the work. The techs who came to install the new inverter were great, they were courteous and professional. I was still having issues with the system but this was because Solar Edge didn't properly process the new serial number to my residence. It was impossible for me to speak to anyone at Solar Edge so I called HI Power again. I was helped by Chase and he was very patient with me (I was frustrated and not being very nice at first). Chase was incredibly helpful and worked things out with Solar Edge and even walked me through how to get my Tesla Powerwall up and running. It was really nice to speak to a human in this time when all that most companies offer is an AI chatbot. Thanks Chase!

We started exploring solar systems this past summer and obtained 4 estimates from different companies. HI-Power was competitive and their solar representative Cindy was very responsive and helpful. We signed the contract 2 months ago and had HeCo application, County DPP application and design completed within 2 weeks. They were very transparent on the entire process and we were happily surprised that HeCo processed the application in a timely manner. Installation was completed yesterday, within 2 months. Thank you to the entire team from initial planning with Cindy, Jason and Laneika to the installation team led by Rico the Electrical Forman, Electrical Helper Ezekiel, Roof lead Sam and Roof Helper Kaipo.

My Hi-Power Solar Review (Not enough Stars so I'll show it with my words) I recently had the pleasure of working with Hi-Power Solar for the installation of a solar PV system and battery at my home. From the initial meeting with John Yeh on October 1, 2024, a professional and knowledgeable business manager, to the planning stages, site inspections, completing forms, verifying, the experience has been largely positive. John Yeh provided clear and detailed information, guiding me through the planning process, site inspection, engineering drawings, financial considerations, installation, coordination with the City permitting department, HECO's approval process, and coordinating with my Homeowners Association. His expertise and approachable demeanor made him really stand out in a crowd. John stayed with me every step of the way, contacting me on Thanksgiving Day and even while he was on personal leave. He is very approachable and made himself truly available throughout this process. I'm mentioning this because a great deal of companies will hand you off to a third party to resolve issues, but Hi-Power Solar does not. During the planning phase, we encountered a few hiccups. However, Hi-Power Solar’s team was quick to address and resolve these issues. The installers, Conor Tomas, Rico Laguatan, Kaipo, Josh, and Mikolel Barrios, were Outstanding! Their teamwork, communication, and professionalism were evident throughout the installation process and above reproach, making them tremendous assets to the company. Their actions positively benefit Hi-Power Solar as ambassadors of their brand, leaving a positive impact on customers. I was so impressed that I bought them all lunch on both days of installation. Conor Tomas did an amazing job representing Hi-Power Solar, wearing his stripes on his sleeves as an up-and-coming electrical journeyman installer. His intelligence was unexpected for someone his age, and his parents must be proud of him. Conor was able to render multiple approaches to the engineering design and ultimately came up with the solution that worked well for me and my family. We are extremely happy with both the environmentally sound viewpoint and future cost-saving initiatives. Additionally, I was pleased to know that he balances life, family, and the life of a musician playing bass with the group High Watah. It's an amazing testament to the value of great employees that represent the company with such high regard. The installation included new PV panels, restringing of the BYOD system, and the installation of 2 Power Wall 3 batteries along with the Gateway and Gutter. The complexity of the project was handled with great care and efficiency. A special mention goes to Cruz, the Vice President, who contacted me directly to resolve any remaining concerns. This personal touch and commitment to customer satisfaction were greatly appreciated. As a locally owned and run business in Hawaii, Hi-Power Solar provided multiple avenues and solutions to ensure the deal was completed by December 31, 2024. They worked feverishly and efficently to compensate for any hiccups along the way, and their level of integrity is noteworthy to Hawaii customers and beyond. Hi-Power Solar also took care of the permitting process and ensured the closure of the permit. We are currently awaiting the final certifications and will update the review once that is complete. Overall, Hi-Power Solar has demonstrated their dedication to quality service and customer care. I am looking forward to enjoying the benefits of my new solar system and would recommend Hi-Power Solar to anyone considering a solar installation. I hope the team at Hi-Power Solar uses this review to continue to do great things for their customers as well as their employees. Both will impact their business ventures and future. I hope they fully understand the scope and responsibility of having an honest review from not only a Native of Hawai'i but an Armed Forces Veteran as well. Amazing Company and Service

Hi-Power Solar did an amazing job at my house. I have been planning to add Solar Panels with battery backup and Air Conditioner to my house for about 3 years and have gotten multiple quotes from other businesses around the island. I first contacted (Cynthia and Cruz) almost 3 years ago to explore my options but because life situation I had to move back to the mainland. During the last 2 years, Cynthia kept in touch and updated me on different technology and options for AC, Solar Panels, and batteries that had become available to the market and how it would benefit my family and more specifically my wallet... Once I moved back, I contacted Cynthia and she came to my house with Cruz the very next day to discuss the ideas that I had in mind, and they confidently gave me feedback that made me comfortable to proceed. They are super friendly, positive, and creative. My observation of the Installation Team: From the first contact that I had with the Lead Ikaika, I knew it was going to be a good experience during the project phase. Ikaika introduced himself and his assistant. He asked if I had any questions or concerns before he got on the roof to take measurements. I explain to him my ideas for the location of the Generac batteries and Air Conditioner condenser. A Couple of days later the guys doing the Installation showed up with 3 trucks and all their equipment. Right away the Lead Electrician Rico introduced himself and the team that was going to be working on the project. Rico very thoroughly explained to me what was going to happen on day 1 of 2. Because I always like to learn new stuff I started walking around and approach Matt the electrical assistant that was installing the batteries and all the electrical connections. Matt is a gentle giant that took the time to explain all the components and their functions. He really cares and puts maximum effort to make things right so there are no issues anytime soon. Matt is a master of all trades and he bounces between the batteries and the installation of electrical cabling and solar panels themselves. Justin, Kamu, Joe, and Mario did a great job installing all the railings and cleaning up after themselves. These guys worked all day without complaining and needing anything throughout the entire day. All required permits were filed with the County of Honolulu and HECO before the project started giving me much more confidence. They have a great financing program with EZLOAN. The process of applying with EZLOAN was easy and convenient since they work hand in hand with Hi-Power Solar. I would recommend this company for any house project that you have planned for your home. Even though their prices were competitive if not better than most companies that I contacted, I would not use any other company in the future because of their level of customer service and how they stayed within the timelines they promised. They are also military friendly.

If you’re looking to put solar panels PV system on your home then Hi-Power Solar is the place!! The PV team: Evy, Jaimie, Rae, Taylor, and Cynthia (energy consultant) did an exceptional job keeping me and my husband updated with all the information regarding our PV System installation as well as giving us detailed answers to any questions we had regarding it and the process! Ikaika, our site inspector, did a wonderful job designing the layout for our panels and paid attention to detail (which we love & appreciate!!!) During the installation process, our electrical lead - Rico, assistant - Bryan, Justin, Kaipo, Chevy, and Matt, did a great job all around. They were organized and always on time! At the end Rico walked us through the instructions of the meter and how to read it which was super helpful! The Hi-Power Solar & Cynthia provided us with an app that allows home owners to pinpoint exactly how much energy we will need to power our home without going over our family’s limit. This has been super helpful to us - and hopefully for other families too, especially those who are looking to track their expenses with electricity!
