I am extremely disappointed with the level of customer service I’ve experienced with Grid City. My solar panels have had technical issues producing energy for the past two months, and despite calling roughly 10 times seeking assistance, the issue still has not been resolved. Each time I contacted customer service, I was met with either rude remarks, little urgency, or promises of follow-up that never happened. As a customer, it’s frustrating to feel ignored after making such a major investment. I truly wish Grid City was as committed to supporting existing customers as they are to making sales. At this point, I simply want the problem fixed and clear communication about when it will be resolved.

Zero stars! Worst customer service. Talk as if he doesn’t want business. Does not follow up as they said they would. DO NOT use this company. Don’t believe me. Just talk to the owner yourself. He’s rude, obnoxious, and only cares about one thing..money.

They don’t have an option for zero stars for this company reviews. I can’t stress enough to anyone dealing in the future with this company how bad they are. The owner Arie is only interested in money and doesn’t care about customer service at all. I had my inverter replaced by SolarEdge and grid city which originally installed my solar system in 2018 was given the installation request. I called the owner up several times, 1st call with him after I explained what is going on he said it will cost $1350 to install it which I had no problem with but I asked when will he be able to install it and he said call SolarEdge to get replacement and SolarEdge said installer has information on install. Run around with them. Money was paid up front and install was done a few after weeks after. The installer never got the communications with the internet running and when I called Arie he said this not their responsibility and it’s a bona work if they did it. SolarEdge was contacted and they said installer never updated the new serial number for the inverter and said grid city is responsible to do this and set up communications. After a few more calls with Arie he said he will check it out once he is in the office and get back to me. It’s been over 3 weeks now so i guess he never went back to the office. In short Grid city only cares about money and no customer service after they are paid. I would rather pay Con Edison double for electricity then deal with grid city

DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY. YOU WILL REGRET IT. I had solar panels installed with GridCity Electric, and the initial installation went smoothly. However, I encountered significant issues with their service when I needed an inverter repair under warranty. Poor Communication: They rarely answer their phone. I had to call 10-20 times throughout the day just to reach one person. Lack of Follow-Through: They instructed me to contact SolarEdge for a replacement inverter, which I did. GridCity Electric only needed to confirm the shipping address with SolarEdge. Despite being told the replacement would arrive in a week, when I followed up, I was given the runaround with responses like "I will see if we received it." Frustrated, I contacted SolarEdge directly and discovered that GridCity Electric never contacted them for the replacement. As a result, my solar panel system has been idle for over a month. I will be filing complaints with all relevant affiliates and organizations to ensure no one else experiences such poor customer and warranty service. Update: after going through 1month of going back and forth, they forward me to another person whom is trying to charge me 1300 to install the warranty inverter. SCAM!! Called another reputable solar company and was only charged 400 and they came the next day. Save yourself some headache and avoid this company.

I hope people do not need any introduction about Grid City Electric. This is a company with very helpful people. Their price ranges are absolutely perfect and they consume less time to set the solar panels at home. The employees are well behaved and trustworthy. I would recommend these people to all my friends and other family members.

A BREATH OF FRESH AIR!

Grid City Energy was a breathe of fresh air, Andrew took the time to walk me through every question I had which helped me ultimately decide on going solar for our new home. I met with three other companies during my pursual of solar and decided to go with Grid City Energy. They gave me the most savings and I felt a sense of security with them. Grid City Energy gave me the most beneficial agreement that worked within my budget. Their customer service is astounding as well, I received constant email updates of the development of my installation and their staff is consistent with keeping me informed with any new updates. I also received a check for referring my neighbor! I am beyond pleased & will continue to refer my friends and family to this company! Thank you Jon, Stefanie, Andrew & Zack - Great Team!

A great experience with Grid City Energy

Overall a very good project. GCE staff were professional, patient, courteous and thorough. No surprises. The installation was on time without any issues. The system is producing at or above expected levels.

The professionalism and accuracy of Solar installation

When I first met Jason at a Town Fair no objection was an objection. His love and belief in what he did was apparent and I agreed to meet him for a presentation. His presentation was factual using my actual consumption and the position of my house to the sun. So exact was his analysis even to his cost estimate. I was impressed, so was my son and my wife soften by his knowledge The installation was completed in the middle of December, 2015 and 4 1/2 months later I have a 900 KWH credit. The last 2 months I have not paid an Electrical usage charge Thank you to the young salesman, Jason for his love of what he promotes.Thank you to David for his Technical knowledge and last but not least to Jonathan, for his back room operations and installation expertise

Excellent Service

I approached Judah in the mall because he had a desk there advertising his companies services. I asked a lot of questions of which I cannot remember right now but I do remember him taking the time to explain how everything worked about the installation cost, and the government rebate. Because the decision was not mines alone to make, I called my husband and Judah was again kind enough to go over all the explanations and answered all my husbands questions. They Judah and his supervisor came to our home to again explain the procedure and filled out all the paperwork for us. All we basically had to do was sign! I have absolutely to complains to voice and everything they promised was delivered. We are very satisfied with our service, our bill for service is around $10.00 amount and we pay the installation fees from the electric company which amounts to around $80.00 amount. So we pay less than $100.00 per month on our electric bill and at the end of the year the electric company gives us back money for the power that they bought from us, how cool is that!

Great Company

From the presentation by David Bar, to the accuracy of the loan amount and what my needs were, to the Installation process itself and the professionalism of all this companies entities, i would recommend this company and Solar power to all i know. I highly suggest you use this company for all your Solar needs

Exactly as Promised -5 stars!

After having 7 Solar Power Companies come to our house and make a proposals my wife and I decided on Grid City. We are very happy with our choice. As the title says everything is "exactly as promised." The installation time frame, the look of the system (due to shading issues we had to put the panels on the front of the house to maximize power generation, so we asked for a neat, clean, symmetrical installation and we got it!) the amount of our new electric bill, and and the amount of our tax credits were all exactly what David said they would be. We highly recommend Grid City Energy.

Excellent, friendly service all the way

My husband and I were very happy with the service from Grid City, all the way from the initial consultations with Judah, the organizing of the whole process by Jonathan, the installation itself with Gerard and Darrell, and the electric work by Mangal. My husband is a handyman and he observed the workers a lot, and he was very impressed by their skills and efficient work. They were also very polite, and they answered all our questions. If you're shopping around for a solar company, stop looking - Grid City is great! And if you're eligible for the tax credits you should definitely buy the panels - Grid City cooperates with financing institutions that makes it all doable, and everyone along the way both in GridCity and the financing companies explain everything that you want to know. Now we can monitor our electricity production online, and it feels great! Do your part to save the planet – go solar!

A Please to Work With and a Very Neat Finished Product

I researched solar panels for a long time and interviewed several installers. I chose Grid City because they are a local company and as electrical contractors for several decades, they have more expertise that the competitors I spoke to. I am confident they'll be around to take care of any issues that may arise. As for the work itself, they were very neat and professional. The finished product looks great and works great. I had an electric bill of near 0 despite many days of clouds of rain since the system went live. I can't wait for this think to crank out the power once the days get longer. I would definitely recommend them to anybody looking at solar panels.

We looked around in the market and couldnt really find a company that could deliver what we wanted which was a solar company that was local and could install in a discreet way so that the panels could not be seen from the street. Grid City Energy made everything easy for us. We spent 0 upfront and are already saving money. I would recommend them to anyone.

Grid City Energy - I am saving money and the world

I am thrilled with Grid City Energy! The choice to use them was easy. They are local family-run and are also electricians which mean they don't sub out any of the work. And they are rated ‘A’ by the Better Business Bureau. Grid City Energy was so efficient and made everything so easy for me. I had to put $0 down, and with creative financing and guidance, I am saving money from day one. Financing the cost of my solar panels, after the rebates and tax credits over the cost of 15 years, turns out to be a lower monthly cost to me than what my electric bill used to be. It also adds tremendous value to my house. So I was glad I was able to do it before the incentives disappear.

We interviewed a few companies and went with Grid City. The engineering and install excellent. We are now exceeding our Kw needs by 40% which will benefit us later. The federal tax incentives, which I believe will be changing soon, made this investment very attractive.
