Green Mountain Solar (GMS)

Justin was very easy to work with and explains it all with confidence and clarity. Scott was quick with the estimate and the whole install team (Nice work Avery) was smiling and efficiently got the job done! Maggie was in contact the whole process and is a great project manager! 6 stars if they would let me!

Installation was efficient and professional. After some issues with net metering were sorted out everything has been smooth. I went with solar primarily for power backup during outages and in that role the system provides a seamless transition to battery when needed. Our monthly electric bills are now 1/3 of what they were (and at least half of what we are charged on our current bills are those extraneous tacked-on fees for this and that...). I'm happy with the system, and satisfied with Green Mountain Solar's work.

Green Mtn. Solar installed our Power Wall for VT Electric. Caleb explained the purpose and workings of the system very clearly, and was very straightforward about how the system would work for us. The installation was smooth and professional, with a nice-looking product and no problems. We are not wishing power outages on our service (!), but if they happen, we'll be glad to have some backup. We also feel good about supporting the system so that there will be less need for purchase of expensive alternative energy sources during peak demand times. Well done, GMS!

Green Mountain Solar was excellent installing my Tesla Powerwall 3 with expansion pack. Worked with Ian who did the site visit and was my main point of contact. He answered any question I threw at him and did an excellent job of managing the project. The installers were great as well; clean work and kept me in the loop every step of the way. Powerwall 3 has been perfect. Would highly recommend!

I've had a terrific experience with Green Mountain Solar! From the first phone call to the office to get information (and talking with Maggie), to working with the solar advisor Casey on the roof-top solar plan, to the install crew (Nate, Jason, Miriam and the two Mikes) and email and phone communications with Shannon and Raenor, they have all been friendly, informative, professional, and just a pleasure to work with. The install of the solar panels and the solar battery were done on schedule and went off without a hitch. I highly recommend GMS for anyone considering roof-top solar panels.

You will be amazed if you use GMS From the initial phone call to the site visit to the install one word Perfect.The office staff is the best we have dealt with.The site visit no pressure went through all questions again perfect.The Tesla battery install again perfect.When the crew arrived they were polite & told us their names.They worked like a well oiled machine very neat & cleaned up when done.Stayed on site until all internet programs were done. The one big thing was the respect they all showed during the process.This is old school service . From start to finish this company will not fail you.

Responsive, Reliable Service

GMS designed our system and did the installation in June. 15 panels on two roof pitches, each with its own microinverter. GMS answered our many questions, were patient as we compared them with a quote from another contractor, and were prompt in responding to all communications. This was a key factor in choosing their service, given spotty communication from the other vendor. The installation was neatly done in one day, with connections between the two panel arrays and to the gable end done within the attic rather than routed across the roof. Panels were producing on day 1 via a temporary meter that GMS installed pending the power company installation of the dedicated meter a few days later. System monitoring via an app shows each individual panel performance and overall system output.
