A warning to the entire Florida community regarding GoSolarPower

I have been waiting months for the return of my deposit for the Tesla battery installation after deciding to cancel the project. Before that, I had to go to the city myself to close out an expired permit, as the city was threatening to fine me $500 a day. I have been in contact first with the salesperson and, for over a week now, with Thomas—the representative here in Florida. I have had several issues with this company; after two years of insisting that one of the microinverters never worked, I finally managed to get it replaced—even though they had previously claimed it was functional and simply wasn't reporting data to the system. I hope that by posting about this poor workmanship, bad customer service, and terrible client management on social media, I can finally get my money back and stop having to beg for the return of my deposit every week. A warning to the entire Florida community regarding GoSolarPower: After I gave them a chance to contract for a new property—where they were supposed to apply a discount using the deposit from my previous Tesla battery installation—I decided to cancel the project because they failed to honor the price quote they had provided (citing market price increases). Now, they are telling me they will charge a $5,000 fee plus permit costs, even though they had originally required a total deposit of $6,750. They are a total scam. Comunicandome con el vendedor primero y despues ya mas de una semana con Thomas el representante aqui en la florida. He tenido varios problemas con esta compañia esta semana despues de 2 años reclamando que uno de los microinversores nunca funciono logro cambiarlo despues que me decian que si funcionaba que era solo que no reportaba al sistema! Espero que mediante este reporte en las redes del mal trabajo y del mal costumer services y la mala gestion con el cliente me devuelvan mi dinero y no tenga cada semana estar rogando por la devolicion de mi deposito . ALERTA TODA LA COMUNIDAD DEL ESTADO DE LA FLORIDA CON GOSOLAPOWER. Ahora que les pido mi deposito despues que les daba otra oportunidad de contrato en otra propiedad donde me aplicaban descuento del deposito que tenia en la anterior de las baterias tesla . Me dicen que al cancelar el proyecto no siendo fieles al precio que me dieron en este ultimo, al subir los precios en el mercado, me dicen que me aplicaran $5k de fee mas gastos de permisos donde me habian exigido $6,750 total como deposito. son una estafa total

Do not use GoSolar in the state of Texas. Owner and employees will tell you that the company has a local team and will provide great service, while in fact they will out source everything and can’t find service teams to service your system for weeks at a time. You will have to constantly follow up with them as they will not give you any updates.

Congratulations. You have made one very happy customer. The system you designed for me is functioning as I had hoped. Feb 1 2023 was the real proof that your design would do what I asked for. 27 Degree cold winter night at 2:29 am Duke Energy lost power to my home. Instantly the Tesla Powerwall supplied all the power to my home and sent a text message they had taken over. 3:39 am power was restore and Tesla Powerwall notified me that Duke was suppling the power. The powerwall was set to retain 70% before the power loss. When the power was returned that I noticed the battery level was at 65%. A drop of 5% in 1 hour. Figuring 70% / 5% = 14 hrs of battery left at should take me to sunshine to recharge. The most interesting part was that at 3:39 when power was restored the powerwall was recharged using Duke Energy to a level of 70%. I am a happy camper. Thank you for efforts. Sid

Go Solar recently completed installations of our 18-kW roof-top solar and two Tesla Powerwall3 batteries (27 kWh). We are very happy with the service provided by Go Solar, and the relatively short time they took to complete the project in spite of the unnecessary delays caused by inefficient Town inspection process. The cost of the project was also very reasonable. The system is running well and our electrical bill has already reduced to almost nothing. Our go-to-person at Go Solar was Richard Astern. Richard is very professional and easy to work with. He was involved throughout our project promptly answering any question I have had. In fact, the first call I made to Go Solar was on a Friday, just before 5 PM. Richard picked up the phone and spent quite a bit of time going over the conceptual design. He visited our home a couple of days later to finalized the system requirements. If you are looking to get solar, I would highly recommend that you call Richard. Nataly Lara was Go Solar’s project manager, who was also very responsive and helpful. I was also very impressed by the electrical technician, Adolfo, who worked long hours, and on weekends, to complete the installation quickly.

Go solar was a great company to work with and Richard Astern was very knowledgeable and helpful throughout the process. He was always available whenever we had a question . They got the permits , HOA approval and completed the job ahead of the promised time. There technicians were very knowledgeable and courteous . They showed up when promised and completed the job in a timely manner. I really appreciated working with Richard Astern and Nataly Lara. I would highly recommend this company and Richard Astern. It was a great process and greatly appreciated not having a salesman trying to pressure into a commitment.

I had a 21KW system installed by Go Solar Power in February 2024. In choosing a solar company I found them to have far more experience and better reviews then most other companies. Our Sales person David O. was much more knowledgeable then any other company we consulted. I am not easily impressed, as I do very significant research before a large investment like this, but David had serious in depth answers for any questions we had from beginning to end of install and afterwards when we had other questions. His knowledge was by far second to none and I felt very comfortable dealing with him and Go Solar Power. The system was built to exacting standards, impressive actually, since we have a large system with twin arrays. Everything was perfectly level, perfectly lined up with the sun and performs exactly, will actually, better then specifications. The install crew was very courteous, and worked from 7:00AM until after dark on several days and had the entire system built and ready to turn on in about 7 working days, start to finish. The workmanship on the arrays, wiring and electrical control/access boxes was very clean and tidy. I have heard and seen horror stories about bad setups with electrical boxes and wiring done in a messy and unprofessional manner and Go Solar Power's was done expertly and clean. All county/state inspections passed first time around. The system has been running for 6 months now with zero issues, producing power as expected and on the clearest sunniest days producing maximum output for a good chunk of the day (peak sun angle). I cannot say enough about how professional and knowledgeable everyone at Go Solar Power was, especially David O. and Evan P. Even today when I have a question about our system they are quick to respond, long after the project was finished. I highly recommend them and will be using them for future projects on my property. Go Solar Power installed solar w/battery backup on our property in January 2024. We are very pleased with their professionalism & excellent customer service from start to finish on our solar project. The folks at Go Solar take great pride in their work every step of the process. We'll continue to enjoy peace of mind that we have solar to power our home during the day and battery reserve to power our home at night for years to come. I know I sleep better at night knowing we'll have power day & night, in any outage or weather emergency, because of the off grid capability of our system. Great job, Go Solar Power!

Can’t trust this company

They install solar system with battery to my moms and I and said we won’t be paying for electricity anymore and our bill has been over $250 a month plus the system. On top of that the commission that their sales guy offer me still waiting on final payment. I wouldn’t recommend them at all!!!!!! They need to take ownership over this and choose well their sales team as they will say anything to sell you a system.

POWERWALLS On-line!

This has been an excellent experience. My first exposure to GO SOLAR POWER was through a friend who had purchased an electric car and added some more panels to his existing system. He referred me to Richard Astern who helped me while I was sitting on the decision fence. Richard was able to address all of my concerns and they quickly became non-issues. Based on the size of my house two POWERWALLS would be needed. There were some electrical concerns which were easily resolved by Raphael, their electrical wizard. As installation day approached I was contacted by Dan Albiter from GO SOLAR POWER’s installation department. Dan was superb! He kept me updated on the installation team’s arrival times, what to expect, and about how long it would take. Even after the installation was complete, Dan advised me on further ways to squeeze the most out of my POWERWALLS. The installation team was most professional. Gio ‘s work was so good the county electrical inspector called it “extremely neat”. The inspector was very impressed. Gio is Tesla certified and he sure knew his stuff. Every step was started and completed perfectly. The power was switched back on, the POWERWALLS charged to full capacity, and I have not used a kilowatt hour off the grid since. At every step along the way there was a professional who loved the work that they do and were willing to help me through this process. Richard, Dan, especially Gio and his crew all expressed a passion for what they do. If you are considering any type of solar purchase, you need not look further. The professionals are here. Overall excellent!

Researched with several companies and chose Go Solar's expertise, amiability, and pricing. Richard in sales outstanding. Court in leadership was easy to work with and flexible in making the deal perfect for me. Thomas in operations was highly knowledgeable and responsive. Mauricio (installations) and Marcos (electrical) did a phenomenal job installing a large system in minimal time. I appreciate all their patience in answering my numerous calls and questions! Upon initial installation, 47 of my 48 panels worked like a champ. I had only one panel that needed a part which Marcos replaced. He finished the replacement at dusk and was unable to test the system. In typical Murphy's Law fashion, the following day revealed one of my two inverters out completely and only 12 of my 48 panels operational. I lost my system for a week but Marcos says he'll be here tomorrow morning to reset. Being up in the Panhandle of Florida is a setback with the home office in South-Central Florida. Hope they expand to put an office in NW Florida to improve responsiveness. Special thanks to Natalie who suffers my frequent calls, voice and emails with the patience and attitude of a saint.

My search for a company to install solar panels on our home in Naples, finally led me to GoSolar Power and I could not be happier. Efficient, reliable, cost friendly and enough staff to answer all questions plus help the permit process to boot. No wonder they are #1 in Florida. They should be!!

Great Company

I have had my system for over two years and couldn't be happier. I did my homework and shopped around. Go Solar offered the best deal and sized my panels for my demand. They have followed up with me, upgraded my equipment at no charge and removed and reinstalled the panels for roof replacement. They are very reputable and customer friendly. They also replaced all of my light bulbs with LED, installed a smart thermostat and gave me an infrared thermometer free of charge. They inform me of new products and upgrades available. I highly recommend this company as you may be taking a risk with others that are new to the industry. So I chose to go with the best.
