Think Twice

It's been a pretty horrible experience so far. The permitting phase took some time but that was expected, no complaint there. It was after the permitting was completed that the issues began. Someone reached out to schedule a date for installation but no one showed up for the installation, nor did anyone call. We were eventually able to reschedule the installation and everything went well that time. Roughly a week later, someone came out to inspect everything. Everything passed inspection but the inspector apparently forgot to turn the system back on before he left and it took a day and a half before we realized it and restarted the system ourselves. Finally, I'm very concerned that the size of the array is going to be inadequate for our needs. We've been installed for some time now and, so far, our energy consumption is outpacing our energy production. When we purchased the system, the salesperson assured us (after reviewing our past utility bills) that it would be sufficient for our energy needs. The monthly cost of the system far exceeds our what our electrical bills have been but, if it replaced said electrical bill, we felt that would acceptable. As it stands right now, however, it looks like this will be a large bill in addition to our large electric bill, rather than a replacement for it.

The Worst

Been close to a year, still have not received all that was promised and part of my contract. They won't return calls or emails. This has been the worse experience when dealing with a company that I have ever had. Heed all the warnings you see in the reviews and stay the hell away from G3 Solar.

AVOID THIS COMPANY

Absolutely terrible experience. We are now 1.5 years from installation and our system has never been properly hooked up or inspected. They do not reply to emails or phone calls. They owe use thousands of dollars. AVOID G3 SOLAR!!

Panels not working properly

We have called every week for a couple of months, sent emails. When you call the messages says we are on another line. Sent emails about the solar panels not working. Our electric bill is over 300.00 a month. What can I do. We are on fixed income. Help Help. This has to be the worst company. I want them fixed or take them back.

Unacceptable business practices

First problem at had was the install date was rained out. The company didn't bother to make another until I called to ask about it, then install took over a week. That was 12 weeks ago. Paperwork still not submitted to the city so not only am i paying my summer electric bill and solar payments but I have had no contact from the company. Zero, no response to calls, email, or a request from the financing company to call me. So if you're ok with a company who refuses to talk to you or finish their job in general this is the one for you

Don't waste your money

Maybe some of their salespeople have morals, but the one I had did not. Sold me a system where I would be "only needing to pay a small fee each month to my electric company... the panels will cover the rest- it's like locking your energy rate for the next 20+ years!" Right. The system never covered anywhere close to the house's need. No changes in usage, so you tell me, did they install what was needed? Take a look at what my house used and what the solar generated. You be the judge.

Horrible!!!!

Buying solar from G3 is the worst financial decision we have ever made. The system is not working properly. We have left countless messages for the last 6 months with little to no response, broken promises, etc. We were recently told by the finance company that the number of panels we have is insufficient to produce enough solar to offset our electric bill?? When River came out and sold us our system we were told we would have 110% of what was needed to run the electricity for our home and would only be paying the electric company $15 a month for a service fee. I am now paying $90+ to the electric company each month and the bill to finance the solar system. This is NOT what was promised and sold to us. This is beyond frustrating. Thinking about taking legal action l.

We had a great experience with Troy Dickson and the installation crew. Our system has been working great and we want to give a shout out to Troy Dickson for explaining what they were going to do and when we would start seeing the payback. He kept in contact with us almost daily to ensure everything was going has explained and I have the ability to contact him now even months after the installation. I live in Ohio and just had my Solar Panels go live. They are doing amazing! They failed to fix a broken system

We paid for a working system with a warranty. We can not get G3 to return a call or even act like they intend to fix our broken color, which is not even a year old yet. They lied about the Tax credit, too. All we want is for them to honor their contract and fix the broken solar system they sold and installed. They also left our wall open and wires exposed to our breaker box. I can't even close the wall up because they lacked their flex conduit so tight it is sticking out of the wall.

Reno NV non-operable system and it is almost 2 years!

G3Solar Project started in Nov. of 2022 System still not operable. Repair people say they do not know how to fix system. System unable to talk to its parts so no power. Have Tesla Battery. Reno Solar was the subcontractor. Another door to door scam as far as I am concerned. Why does G3Solar not know how to fix a problem it created in my solar system? Run around is all I get and repair persons who have no idea how to fix the problem. Now G3Solar says problem is the inverter and they will take it up with the manufacturer. Nonsense - put in a new inverter and fix it now. We are older and can freeze to death in the winter or die from the heat in the summer and, my opinion, G3Solar will be responsible if our power goes out. Note to relatives on who to sue if we die.

Do not use G3 Solar

It has now been almost eight months since I signed the contract to install a solar system. at 7 months they install my panels and now it has been 17 days since the final panel was installed and the power company is waiting for a Signature from G3 before they will activate my solar system. emails and calls to G3 Solar go unanswered. WHAT EVER YOU DO DO NOT USE G3 SOLAR TO INSTALL A SYSTEM.

Poor installation and customer service

Took 3 tries to get installation team here, then they were short on materials. Final inspection by utility company failed - no second meter according to approved design. Two months of regular prodding to complete, but lip service, then no response. Meanwhile, sunny days going to waste in May and June.

Trash company

This company is complete trash I will be contacting every resource I have at both state and federal levels I had panels installed and it has been a circus since day one one problem after another excuse after excuse needless to say two of my panels are not producing any power and I have tried to contact project manager Kyleigh kumza or how ever you say her name by both email and phone call she has still not been in correspondence with me I just want my panels fixed I am paying a lot of money for them and they don’t even work right I should have went local these people are trash and it would only be my hope Ang satisfaction to see them go out of business for such shady practices I hope this company makes it right with my installation thanks for nothing g3

RUN AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN

Installation occurred in Reno, NV. They have only gotten 2 things right during this disaster, taking my money and giving me tax documents to file with my income tax return. Their customer service is non-existent! I paid extra to have critter guards installed on my panels due to all the pigeons in the neighborhood, they forgot to order them and had to wait an extra 6 weeks before they were installed. They did not submit the correct paperwork to the Energy company which delayed connection by 4 weeks. Connection has happened and at any given time 2-5 of my 12 panels are not connected or have NOT produced any electricity in the last 6 weeks. Any calls or emails to customer service go unanswered. Everything has been blamed on a nameless "project manager". I don't think there is a project manager because anyone who takes the job probably sees the cluster they are walking into and quits very quickly. Anytime someone shows up to fix something, I have no notice. They just randomly show up on a day, state they are here to fix something and there is no one here. In their mind, they are doing their part and putting the blame on me because I am not available to let them in. However, I can't ensure someone is home if I don't know what day / time they are scheduled to show up. If I ran a business like this, I'd be out of business quickly. What is really sad is we were looking to do solar install on 2 more properties and will not use them at all.

No Honesty! No Follow-thru! RUN! Sleezy!

We started this farce in July 2023. One delay after another, poor paperwork, employees who cannot help to simply change a name on the paperwork that should not be there. Nothing but a run around and one excuse after another. Now we are paying for the system and the full power bill because, G3 doesn't care, they got their money and the finance company wants theirs's. If this situation is not resolved we will be reporting them to the Nevada Construction Board, Elder Protective Services for fraud, the Better Business Bureau and any other governing body we can think of. No info for tax credit, Smart Thermostat not installed. We were also told the payment would stay the same throughout the loan but, it appears G3 did not consult the finance company about this untruth either!

This solar company made a small mistake, and then fixed their mistake right away. They took full responsibility, and helped in every way they could. They were very respectful. And one of their employees personally gave us $275 out of their own pocket just for the inconveniences. I’d recommend them to everyone I know.

Dishonesty and shady business practices (on their best day)

This organization was the prime contractor, subbing work out to a local organization Reno Solar. From the get go this organization has not maintained sensible and accurate engineering for our solar project, which had led to multiple delays and inaccuracies within the contract itself (and leading to questions regarding the validity of our project). Finally, after 12 painful months of dealing with this organization and their atrocious level of project manager turnover (6 project managers for our project in the course of 12 months), our solar system was turned on. Since then, after being provided empty promises of compensation for not only the loan payments we'd been paying for (despite having a non-operable system), to then being told we would be compensated for time between our authorization to operate and when G3 could actually pull it together and turn the system on (again, delays due to engineering errors on their side of the project), G3 has not come forward to make good on any of those promised items. Now, they have not provided all of the appropriate project close out work and routinely dismiss my and my husband's communication with them. For any consumers considering working with them, avoid this organization at all costs. The only appropriate retribution would be to see them go out of business.

Buyer beware

I have had solar from G3 for 3 years I am sorry I fell for their sales tactics. I complained and the said it wasn’t working properly so they supposedly put in a new part. I have yet to have a credit on my NV energy bill. They tell me something is not right. G3 said 23 panels would do the job well it hasn’t. I now have a bill for the solar panels and a bill to NVEnery. I have had so many people handling my account with G 3 and trying to get a call back is a joke. I also called NVEnergy and the tell me it has nothing to do with them. Fully research solar and the solar companies before you make the same mistake. I am not happy at all poor customer service and no accountability.

Wont Call Back

wish I would have done it sooner

I can not believe how incredible of a deal this is. This company made it so smooth and seamless and blew all of the other companies that quoted me out of the water. I am saving so much money and that is not including tax write off. All of my friends and family are using G3 now and some of them it was too late. However G3 was still able to add a couple panels to my neighbors house to improve his situation and he is so bummed that he did not use them for the whole thing.

Terrible Investment

This was the worse financial I've ever made. I am not saving absolutely any money or getting solar panels. The government and these solar panels lied and made everything sound good when in actuality it is a big SCAM! I am still paying a monthly electricity bill plus thousands of dollars to pay off the cost of the panels. I never received a credit back during tax season from the Federal or State! Also you cannot sell your house unless the next homeowner agrees to buy them from you.

Stay away - No integrity

I paid this company $73000 and gave them many months to install before the hot weather hit. That was the whole point in buying PV. Our house is large and cooling it is expensive during July thru September. They were slow, they came by many times with incorrect parts, they made excuses, and ultimately they cost me an additional $2000 in electric bills because they couldn't finish the job on time, and we all know how hot it was this summer. After all of the broken promises and failures, they offered to compensate me a measly $300. When a company takes $73000 to do a job, and it's not worth it to them to compensate the customer for their failures, it speaks volumes to their lack of interest in customer satisfaction. On top of that, they inspected the roof and said it was fine. Then the installer showed up and said it definitely wasn't. They can't even agree within their own ranks. I don't recommend this company at all. They lack integrity.

After our consultation I realized that G3 has an advantage over the other companies I have received quotes from. G3 has access to parts from all the major companies so they are able to build the truly best system on the market. I am very happy with my experience so far.

They didn’t mess around on pricing, they didn’t come back with additional fees and additional fees like panel upgrades. They took care of all the little extras like paint matching and cutting tree branches and they cleaned up after themselves!

Glad I found this company

G3 did a fantastic job! There are many other companies out there that install solar panels, but I am glad I found these guys. They did an in-depth analysis of my electric bill and the amount of panels that I needed for my roof. And proved to me that this would be a worthwhile project. Now that I have had my solar panels for almost 9 months, I have not had an electric bill since they were installed.

Very Fluid Communication

Communication is key for me. From the first encounter (Taylor) to the install and turn on, the process was very smooth. Company is transparent with information and keeps things smooth. Knowing what to expect was never a question because they are upfront with everything. Will recommend based on customer service and quality of communication. You can not pay enough for quality service.

Awesome. Highly Recommended

We've had our panels for almost 18 months now and I would still recommend G3 Solar! The sales process was 100% better than dealing with a door to door salesperson that really has no knowledge of what they are selling (like Vivint or Auric). They took care of the installation process from start to finish. Setup and turning on the system was also managed by G3. I received all the tax incentives that I expected, plus some and our power bills have dropped from $300-$400 in the summer to $8.97. Overall, a great experience from start to finish and on-going with their customer service team!

I got ripped off

I was told by a man name Chris who I let in my home that my bill will be lowered to roughly 15 to 20 dollars after he review my bill for the prior year. Then i was told i would have 18 months to pay my panels down 30%... this was a lie. I only got 12 months. Now my electric bill is even hire than it was and it is now higher than my panel monthly bill. This has been a pain in my butt and has now put me in a financial burden thanks to Chris and G3 Solar. Great job guys. You got me.

Incredible Customer Service

By far the best customer service experience anyone could ask for when making this type of investment. The energy advisor was educated, honest, and very professional. I would recommend giving G3 Solar a call to anyone interested in solar power. These guys are from South Carolina and really helped to ensure I was comfortable and informed during the entire process. Awesome company! Keep up the great work guys!
