Worst Contractor Ever

Our journey with Energy Monster began back in July 2020 when we made the decision to buy the system. That was our biggest mistake. Little did we know that Energy Monster is ill equipped to be doing business in Florida. They are a Massachusetts company that just opened up in Florida. All of their reviews are from Massachusetts, and they use those reviews to mislead potential customers into thinking they are a good contractor. They didn't know how to submit permit applications in Florida. They didn't know how to work with a finance company. They did not communicate. The project was paused and fell behind. Solar panels were delivered without notice and sat in the driveway before being picked up and then delivered again. The project was finally completed at the end of November. We received none of the benefits of solar power during the summer when our A/C runs the strongest. That alone cost us over $1000 as we had to continue to pay the electric company. They don't return calls. They don't let you know about when work will be done. They don't show up even when work was scheduled. They don't tell you anything. This company should go back to Mass. They should not be in business in Florida. If you are considering Solar energy, GO WITH SOMEONE ELSE. You will be very sorry if you contract with Energy Monster.

Professional service from start to finish

I spent many hours researching local solar companies and went through an hour long presentation with another company to gain knowledge about solar power. After getting quotes from several companies and comparing apples with apples, Energy Monster was by far the most professional looking presentation. From there it only got better. Communication was excellent, especially Kyle Johnson, who replied to phone and emails very quickly. Questions and concerns were always responded to. Installation was done without much interference with our new-normal lives. Final inspection and meter installation was completed without any hiccups!

Utterly Awful

Over a year ago, we contracted with Energy Monster to install solar panels on our house. The work is still not complete, we have a giant hole in one wall, and an increasing stack of bills from their failure to do their job. Avoid this company at all costs.

Best Investment Ever

While working with Kevin Markey and Daniel Gawrych from Energy Monster was an excellent experience, I wanted to wait a year before writing a review because I wanted to see what the one year "return" would be. It has been better than we could have ever imagined. We have not paid $0.01 for electricity during the past 13 months. Even though there is a monthly payment due each month for the purchase of the panels, the savings from not paying ANYTHING to National Grid, the money we get back each month from the Mass Saves program, the credit that we have built up with National Grid, and the savings we have in our natural gas bill (we installed a heat pump that was almost free after Mass Save rebates to offset heating and cooling costs) are more then the cost of the panels. We would do this again if we move and we would use Energy Monster to do it.

Great people and quality work from start to finish

I bought a new REC solar panel system from Dan at Energy Monster, he seemed to be the most knowledgable person I've spoken to during this entire process after receiving quotes from 5 other companies. It seems to me that there is a lot of misinformation being tossed around by other companies, beware!! I highly recommend Dan and his efforts in persuading me to use Energy Monster. Very glad I did!

Very smooth and great customer service

After doing a lot of research, comparing different installers and brokers I found Energy Monster. Dan and Mark did a great job not only providing me the best price, including high level LG Solar panels, but also being very responsive and guiding me through the process. Even during this Covid 19 crisis they were able to install the panels after doing the heavy lifting with the paperwork. Panels are producing currently on the higher end of the provided estimate, which makes me happy. Overall great customer service!

Very Happy with my Solar

I have 33 350 watt panels now on the roof, The process was very smooth and the correspondence back and forth has been better than with other companies I tried to work with. They gave me exactly what I wanted and for less than other companies. The week before I had installed new hard wood floors, The electricians that needed to get into the attic took of their shoes when working - Nice Guys The array looks great on the roof and I'm on my way to being electric independent.

Very Professional

We had 35 335kWh panels installed. The process was extremely straight forward and the craftsmanship terrific. Every roof penetration his a joist hit. Overall the team was very professional, their pricing was extremely competitive and responsiveness very good. What is preventing me from giving 5 stars was the closure was delayed. Half I blame on our town and the inspector requirements and half was Energy Monster keeping focus on finishing the job. Once I helped facilitate, the job and subsequent National Grid meter swap finished quickly.

Sealing My Flat Roof Attic

A very tight space with no access. Several companies said it could not be done, but Energy Monster got in there and completed the job. I never give 5 stars, as they don't exist, but in this case it did. Well done. Robert in St Pete Beach, FL.

Terrific Value!

Everyone starting with Orlando Rodriguez the initial salesman, to Kyle Johnson my program manager to the installation crew, to the electricians were extremely professional, responsive and quality oriented. I loved the fact that there is a 20 year, transferable warranty and they will stay involved the whole time. They helped me get the rebates and made the system very affordable. 5 stars is well deserved!

Energy Monster walked me through the process and made things easy. There was little paperwork and the communication was stellar. My units are now in and I am looking forward to the savings I will now enjoy since I retired my old oil furnace

Had my solar system installed back in March 2019 (30 LG Panels)... After researching many reviews, cost & sitting w/ a few sales people from different solar companies, Energy Monster was clearly my choice. Orlando & Dan were very helpful answering any questions I had regarding the system... The installation crew of 4 were very professional, they completed the job in two days & the work done was very neat... I have a new home and am a nit picky person that's hard to please when it comes to neatness & appearance of any work done for me... Great Everything!

Worked around my scheduled and preferences. Easily understood what was important to me and didn't try to sell me something I didn't want. Didn't force me to meet with them in person before giving me numbers, very easy to work with. The crew that installed everything was quick, and did a great job of hiding the wiring from the box to the roof panels. Unlike some other companies, who had crazy unrealistic projections I couldn't trust, Energy Monster had ones I could trust. Having the system for about 6 months, the panels have actually been more efficient than they claimed. Generation over the 6 months is great, way better than projected. Everything about them was great, I even had a paperwork issues with some rebates and they kept helping making sure it was all setup properly with the state! I could not recommend them more.

I just finished the Solar install with energy monster. 31 panels. I am a very talented Picky jack of all trades individual that can do about everything. I am highly impressed bye the crew of energy monster. The install is flawless! They hit every roof hoist without a single miss I checked the entire roof line inside that attic. There wiring and electrical box placement was perfect and neat! Four guys came and you can tel the have been working together for along time. I completely trusted these guys and even left my home unlocked for them on the second day. All paperwork was taken care of even the loan process was extremely easy! Professional and timeline was accurate

They quoted me for the most panels to handle my present and future needs and it wasn’t much more expensive. All other companies quoted me on 8 to 14 panels less with comparable prices.
