We are extremely impressed with Energy Concepts. They designed and installed a residential solar system that has been functioning perfectly. The system (now in operation for a full year) has exceeded all expectations. We are very pleased with the quality of service and products from Energy Concepts. And, we appreciated the straightforward estimate compared to other bids we received for the project. There was no two-hour presentations, just a straightforward and accurate, "Here's what we recommend for you; here's what the labor will cost and here's what the materials will cost." In just six months our residential system has saved us a lot of money and more than five tons of CO2 emissions. Our grandkids will appreciate these savings, too!

Energy Concepts came recommended by our builder. From the moment I contacted them to the last day of hook up they were very helpful and professional in every aspect. They had a technician come out right away and look at the site of our install. We proceeded fairly quickly from there to get everything in order. Any questions I had were answered quickly and with great detail. They worked with our electric company to get every squared away and we didn't even to worry about much on that end. Even on the install our boys were interested in what they were doing and the installers were great about explaining everything to them. A very good experience all around.

The entire team was great to work with and flexible to quote changes in the system as I learned more about what was available. I got exactly the system that I wanted, and they even let me dig the trench to save a little money.

Five stars for every facet from start to finish. That includes sales, design, engineering, installation and office staff personnel and performance. This whole project has turned out to be better than we expected it to be. The design and engineering is perfectly matched to our larger than average electric usage and the large double ground-mounted arrays are situated well to avoid interfering with our landscaping or wonderful view of our acreage and surrounding countryside. Not only have we reached state-of-the art photoelectric generation, we have gained several new “Energy Concept” friends!

Energy concepts developed a great plan for our cabin and due to unexpected events beyond their control had to fight through some pretty huge obstacles in this pandemic year. Despite those challenges they completed a beautiful 12 kw project in the expected time frame. Russel is extremely responsive for all questions and concerns.

We had an amazing experience working with Energy Concepts in Hudson, WI. From start to finish, they were detailed and professional in their proposal and explanations. Russel and Claudia were great to work with. They helped us with our Focus on Energy rebate info and did everything they said they were going to. Our panels are beautiful and absorbing tremendous amounts of energy already! We highly recommend Energy Concepts.

Craig and his team are excellent to work with. They made our solar project possible. They handled the application and acted as a liaison with our utility company, in addition to making the rebate process a breeze. Our array looks fantastic. In 2013 I sought bids for a solar array on my new barn. The two leading contenders were Energy Concepts and another established vendor. The johnnie come lately solar companies that were popping up in 2013 were quickly eliminated. At that time I went with the other vendor because I preferred micro-inverters versus the string inverters bid by Energy Concepts. I was so pleased by the performance of my 2013 solar array that I put out bids to more that double the size of my system in 2019. This time Energy Concepts had the better bid. They were able to get me highly rated panels covered by 25 year warranties at a competitive price. 2019 was a hectic year for installers as the full federal tax credit was in its last year. Tariff issues created other problems. Energy Concepts was able to lock in the panels I wanted and arranged for their timely installation. The owner of Energy Concepts is a highly knowledgeable electrical engineer. He answered all my questions with ease. I highly recommend them. If anyone wants to see my system I'd be happy to show it off.

We chose to work with Energy Concepts on this large commercial 30.4 kWh solar array on the roof of our dental office because of their stellar reputation and that of their partner electricians at Steiner Plumbing, Heating, & Electrical. We were thoroughly impressed with the process start to finish. Energy Concepts helped us navigate the Focus on Energy process for submitting a RECIP Competitive Incentive application for the project, which we were awarded thanks to their assistance. We just went solar with Energy Concepts!! Very professional service with exceptionally knowledgeable engineers and staff made our project a priority and got the job done right! They are long time partners with Steiner Plumbing, Electric, Heating inc. who did an amazing job installing our 32 Panasonic HIT 325 kWh panels for us while also upgrading our electrical to underground service. I highly recommend working with Craig Tarr at Energy Concepts and Matt Steiner at Steiner Electric! Our new solar array produces about 1 1/2 times the amount of electricity we consume! So no more electric bill! And in 2 months our system has already offset the equivalent of 5,026.79 lb of CO2 emissions or 126.61 trees planted.

This was a very positive experience. The entire team -- engineer, office manager, electrician -- was courteous and informative. People showed up when they said they would and kept to the installation timeline, which was exceedingly helpful. Energy Concepts offered excellent support for funding through state and federal programs, an added benefit. We were also pleased with the design elements, efficiency in working through tasks, training on the installed system, and the pleasant communication with everyone involved. We recommend them highly.

Thanks to Craig and his team from Energy Concepts for planning, installing and commissioning our PV Array. Craig was very professional when answering our questions. He knows the equipment, the procedures and the people to get a system going. He and his office manager filled out the paperwork and coordinated all the interested parties. It's amazing watching the sun produce electricity! Not that there's much to see...

Energy Concepts was very receptive to working with me to design a system that meets our total current electric usage and is ready to scale when we add battery storage and/or electric vehicles. They were willing to dig into the details of what new equipment was available and also insured future compatibility.

Great company! Craig was always available to answer questions and was very straightforward when it came to explain pros and cons of all options. He made everything very clear and easy to understand so that I could make the right choices. Claudia was always extremely punctual in contacting me for any signature needed, update of info, ecc. Their electrician (I am sorry but the name escapes me) was AMAZING: we could barely tell when he was working on the site as he always kept things as quiet as possible. Energy Concepts is a well-run and professional company. They did an excellent job designing, installing, and completing all of the necessary paperwork for our solar system. We are delighted with our solar system and their installation.

The on-site installer was sensitive to making it an aesthetic installation even more than we were. He offered things that we did not think of like hiding the cutoff switch behind some bushes on the house that required a little more conduit bending and length for the installer. A heavy rain a day or so after some trenching was finished caused a settlement in the trench. I called at 8am and it was fixed by 9am!!!! Very courteous crew all around. Craig was very good at explaining things in the beginning about what I would be getting and what I could expect. Safety is big with their crew. I would recommend Energy Concepts!!!

From the moment we met Craig, he and Energy Concepts became our top pick. He was the most knowledgeable about solar panels, provided us with multiple installation options, and didn't employ high pressure sales tactics. Craig was able to work around our timeline, the final installation looks great and thanks to a solar panel upgrade, we generate a surprising amount of power even on cloudy days.

Energy concept did a great job of installing our pole mounted Solar panels system. It took them less than two days to install system and they coordinated with local utility to get meter installed and on line following pole installation. First day of operation produced 18KW. Additionally, they took great care in minimizing any lawn damage during installation.

It was a great pleasure working with Energy Concepts of Hudson, WI to design and install our solar system. As with most large projects, we got bids from a couple of other providers, and were happy to learn the best value came from a local source in our own back yard. Always happy to answer our emails, Craig and Claudia were prompt in returning emails and sifting through our questions. We love knowing our carbon footprint has been greatly reduced!

In my experience there are a lot of people selling renewable energy products, but after asking questions about their products and the incentives that are being offered it was evident that they were just that, salesmen, and did not know much about all that is involved with the products they were selling. Energy Concepts got the job done from start to finish and did the research to find the best prices for quality products and labor. I'm sure there are other quality installers in the country but my experience has been that there is a lot more "salesmen" out there than actual quality installers, and Energy Concepts is quality.

They made it easy for us by walking us through every detail and handling the confusing state application process. They are professional and trustworthy. They are on top of the latest technology and trends.

We had been researching solar PV for several years. When we decided to go ahead, we got several bids. The Energy Concepts bid was not the lowest, but it was the only one with enough detail to give us real confidence. Also, the combination of 1-axis adjustable pole-mounts, and the high efficiency of the SunPower panels, gave us the capacity we wanted without stretching all the way across the main view from our house. Installation by Steiner was as painless as possible, given the terrible weather.

I am pleased with the PV system installed by Energy Concepts on the University of Wisconsin-River Falls campus. Craigs engineering background was helpful in working through the technical requirements of a State Facility Project. He made good suggestions to improve the project and offered a good value.

We had considered solar for previous projects, but had not made the right connection with a supplier. Craig came to us with his engineering background and made the process much easier to understand and appreciate. We introduced him to our contracting team and he fit right in. The installers were professional and all the work timely completed. For our first solar experience it went perfectly. We were so pleased with Craig and his team that we are considering using them for further projects.

Energy Concepts was very easy to work with. Craig is VERY knowledgable about solar, interactions with local utility and subsidies available. He and his office have been very responsive to questions.

Ran into a ridiculous number of issues with Sunpower, and eventually with the financing, but Energy Concepts did its part to solve the issues. It was also odd that I had to pull the building permit, but that wasn`t a big deal. My only real problem was communication. They didn`t seem to want to reply to all on an email, so I would often get similar responses from multiple people. Sometimes not all questions I asked in an email were answered. Jon can be hard to get a hold of. Any single issue wasn`t a big deal, but all of it added together made it frustrating.

Our system was very large, rather novel, and as such required major design work which was done very professionally. We have both 1) a large thermal solar heating system and 2) the PV system which supplies about 1/3 of our electricity. Energy Conceptsd, and their work partner Steiner Heating and Air Conditioning are very pro. Contractor helped me but I filled out the incentive paperwork.

I recently purchased a solar hot water system from Energy Concepts and could not be more pleased. Energy Concepts is the rare combination of passion and technical expertise and the final product I purchased from them demonstrates their genuine concern for the environment and their commitment to world-class design and installation. Adding a solar system that runs from the roof to the basement of a 3 story, 40-year-old house is no small feat. I was prepared to make some compromises in ascetics. Thanks to Energy Concepts, no compromises were necessary. They treated my house as if it were a brand new million-dollar mansion and took no short cuts. The final product is impressive, effective and, unless one looks for it, almost invisible. The system is well engineered, high-tech and yet elegant in its simplicity. It’s also designed and installed for years of carefree service. I love that the transfer fluid lines have no seams, no seals and no o-rings to fail. One solid, stainless steel line from top to bottom. A generation from now, whoever lives here will still be savoring the knowledge that they are doing their part in using renewable energy. Since our system went in, I now feel a sense of participation and pride when I see the sun hitting the attractive collectors on our roof. Seeing this simply sight gives me a new found sense of connection to our world that I’ve captured a small sliver of the solar energy opportunity falling on my house and stored it in the form of not water in my basement. Last evening I had 80 gallons of 170-degree water in our storage tank. When my teenage daughters take their long, hot showers they now know exactly where the energy came from for that privilege. This system not only keeps them happy, it teaches them that it’s not enough to worry about the worlds energy and environmental issues, we all have to do our part. I can’t recommend Energy Concepts highly enough. Their engineering, design, customer service and installation expertise is matched only by their passion for helping consumers produce their own power. They delivered far beyond my expectations and were well versed in current state and federal incentives. Whoever lives in my house 40 years from now will be as grateful to Energy Concepts as I am right now on this beautiful, sunny spring day.
