Four years ago we sold our country acreage, sold all the toys and agricultural equipment, and moved into a retirement community in the city. We sold the gas guzzler and bought an electric car. We were rather surprised by the electrical bill during the summer for air conditioning. Our solution was solar panels. After getting quotes from half a dozen companies, Elemental Energy was the only company we felt good about. And better yet, their overall bid to build the system we wanted was half of what the other companies wanted. Every transaction with Elemental Energy from contact, to the site inspection, to the estimate, to the installation and ultimately turning the system on was simply a dream. Not a single hiccup anywhere along the line. Best of all, we haven't paid for a single Kw of electricity since Elemental Energy installed the system. We pay a $15 per month fee to PGE simply for being connected to the electrical grid. That's less than a tank of gas, which we no longer need as we drive an electric car that we charge at no cost to us. If you're thinking about going solar, there is only ONE CHOICE. That's Elemental Energy.

The installation that Elemental Energy did for us was great. They timeline flew by, starting with a site visit and a drone flying over our home gathering data. When the installation day came, the team installed 18 panels and all the associated equipment in less than a full day. The app they use lets you monitor your system from your phone, and we're now enjoying a fully solar powered home (measured on an annual basis of course). I would add that the customer service team has been great, just with answering random questions that came up, even though we haven't had any problems.

We contracted with Elemental Energy to install a 15KW FranklinWH Battery backup system for our house in October. They were highly professional, had excellent communications and were able to overcome an obstacle in the floundering of our Solar provider - who took 4 months to add 5 more panels to our original 21 panel solar system. Elemental kept us up to date on provisioning and navigating the gauntlet that is City State and Utility certifications. Their team was highly professional, showed up on time and executed the installation exactly as advertised. They applied for our Green Energy Rebates her in Oregon and were a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend Elemental and their services to anyone seeking to buffer the rising costs of utility power with renewables and battery backup for stability.

This company went above and beyond any expectations we had. My son used Elemental of Portland Oregon for his system and as a licensed electrician was particularly impressed with their work. So we reached out for a bid and compared them to other vendors here in Bend. They quoted the latest panel technology and were more competitive than any other company using the best available equipment. What was most impressive is that they did exactly what they said they would do. On time on budget and with the highest professional quality of work. Even the City of Bend Electrical Inspector said he had not experienced this level of quality in recent inspections. While it is late for home owners to take advantage of the solar tax credits which is unfortunate, this is the company you should choose to avoid any frustration with completing a solar project. It is complex at best and this company knows what they are doing. An important aspect is that they don’t use contractors to do install. Everyone on the job was an employee with customer service and satisfaction as job one. Don’t hesitate to contact this company!!! Today especially you get what you pay for. But in my case Elemental of Portland was the most competitive, using the best equipment and ultimate customer service company I could have contacted with.

I did and would use Elemental Energy again

Elemental Energy installed a photocell array on our roof a couple a years back. When we made the decision to install batteries as well, they were our only call. Our house was built in the late 1960's. Which means that the outlet plugs and other components that were installed back then (over 50 years ago) have become brittle. Jostle them a bit and they can fracture. This happened to the circuit for the room on the other side of the Battery install. Apparently they jostled the wires running to one of those outlets and it fractured it, disabling that circuit. It being a guestroom, we didn't notice it right away. When we did, Elemental did not hesitate to step up. I would use Elemental Energy again if I needed any of their services in the future.

The solar panels increased the value of my home. The panels have decreased my energy bill to zero for seven months of each year. The installers were competent and friendly. After exploring options with a couple other companies, we chose Elemental Energy because they were the most responsive and knowledgeable, and we appreciate the global development work they do. We love that the panels are locally manufactured (Solar World), and have had fun tracking the system's performance (incredible!) panel-by-panel with the Enphase monitoring system. Overall, the process was smooth from beginning to end, and John and team thoroughly answered every question we had, including tackling all of the rebate paperwork for us. Everything was done on time, within budget, and with great care. We cannot recommend Elemental Energy enough.
