Castaways Energy

Keith from castaway‘s arrived promptly, Evaluated our system and got right to work. The results were fantastic and were so much happier with our improved solar system This company answers their phones promptly and communicate communicates very well. I think they also have reasonable prices. I give them five stars which I Seldom do, but I can’t really even think of a complaint. From customer service to the technician , Each step was easy and went well. Highly recommend ! eduardo

We had Cataways Energy upgrade our existing solar panel system by adding additional panels, adding a Franklin battery system and Franklin controller system to integrate the panels, batteries, grid power and a portable generator to create an integrated power management system for our house. The overall experience was exceptional. Orlando and the entire crew that handled the installation were terrific to work with - totally professional. They arrived on time, got the entire project completed on one day despite 100 degree temperatures and left the site in perfect condition. I was impressed with the time Orlando took to show me how to monitor the system with the apps. They must have taken a thousand photos to document each step in the process I don’t generally give online reviews but this form and its personnel definitely deserve five stars!

Keith the service technician for Castaway Energy arrived at the time that was stated. Keith was very knowledgeable and courteous. His attention to detail was honorable. He checked my issue and ensured the issue was taken care of. He left confident that my system was working correctly. Great service.

Definitely Recommend! Castaways Energy is efficient! I think everyone at this company must have an engineering degree. From my initial meeting with CEO N. Traynor, Scarlett the sales contact, the tech surveyor Kieth, to the hardworking, experienced expert installers Tony and Kevin. I couldn't believe how quickly we went from financing to completion. I had solar batteries installed to backup an existing solar system. Mr. Traynor explained everything I'd need to complete my project and explained it without being condescending. It was mentioned in the contract that the devices would be installed within 35 days. It took less than 10. Every person I came into contact with made sure I had the APP installed on my phone. Tony and Kevin double checked I have the updated version, made sure it was working and explained how to read the new diagrams. I had contacted 3 local companies all recommended by Emphase. This company had a no nonsense, get it done vibe AND did it at a lower cost. Thank you so much everyone for your professionalism.

Another great experience

Keith came by to check on my system that was completely down, he was able to find the problem with the main control board, and had the mfg agree to replace it under warranty. He did a great job explaining everything as well. Just waiting now for solar edge to ship replacement board.

CONSTANT PROFESSIONALISM! The Castaways team did an amazing job upgrading our solar and storage system. Absolutely fantastic service from start to finish. Very professional and quick installation. I interviewed several companies and none were as knowledgeable and collaborative as the Castaways team. They really are experts in what they do. No sales pitches, but focused on educating and making sure you have the best experience. I’ve been impressed with every single one of their team members from sales with Nathan, site survey and service with Anthony and we can not forget the entire installation team of Kevin,Tony, Eric, Justin and Lewis. Very happy with our decision to partner with Castaways Energy.

Castaways Energy

I want to give a shout-out to the team at Castaway Energy for their excellent residential solar service. They offered me a fair price, and the entire team was knowledgeable and prompt throughout the process. The installation crew was professional and efficient, completing the job in just one day. I’m very satisfied with the experience and would happily recommend Castaway Energy to my friends and family.

Exceeded Expectations!

I purchased solar panels for my home in Orlando in from Castaways Energy. Within thirty days of signing the contract the panels were installed, and I’m now ready to connect with Duke. Castaways made the process easy handling the paperwork, permitting and scheduling. I evaluated 9 other solar companies before selecting Castaways. They were not the cheapest, but certainly not the most expensive. They could, however, work within my time-frame, provide the specific quality products I wanted, a took the time to help me understand how my specific systems would work. Communication with Nathan throughout the entire process was excellent!

Thank you Castaways ! Love my Tesla Powerwall 3

Excellent installers and great professional customer service! I love my new Powerwall 3. It powers my whole house and I’m saving lots of money. I love having peace of mind knowing that I will have power regardless of how long the outrage. It’s a great feeling especially having lived through hurricane Andrew without power for 11 days! Thank you Heath, Kevin and Orlando! Great work! The battery is not only powerful but she is gorgeous! I Highly recommend the Castaways team!

Central Florida Solar Installation

Just want to say I do not often write reviews but, after signing a contract to do a Solar System with another provider, they then backed out and said they could not do it for that price. Seemed like a bit of bait and switch. Castaways Energy Elisa, Nathan and all of the install team have done wonderful at coming through with a nice system. Priced right and with the awesome newer Enphase IQ8+ inverters on each panel. The app keeps track of the production. The system and each panel are in view every day showing us the production. I now would like to install a similar system in Ohio but, I find pricing not so good locally and production would be less in Ohio. I have asked Castaways to see if they can work out an Ohio system for me. That will be a tough one but, I am that satisfied if they could make it happen! With some extras for their ride to Ohio. I am pleased with Castaways and the Solar investment. A+. Keep it up Castaways! They are a bright spot for Central Florida's Island of Solar! Thanks!

Great Job

Had my solar panels installed today, job went smoothly and flawlessly. The crew arrived on time and went straight to work, I was kept informed throughout the installation process. Very friendly and knowledgeable crew, they were willing to make modifications upon my request, however when configuring the Envoy box to connect via WiFi it kept erroring out and would not connect, so the company decided to have someone return the next day to troubleshoot the issue. Jonathan return early the next day and still no success, after a while the issue was solved. If your router WiFi has its Security Method set to WPA2 or WPA3 the Envoy box will not connect because the Envoy box is set to NONE. Both the Envoy box and the home WiFi Security Method must be the same for the box to connect to your WiFi. To fix the issue Jonathan ran CAT6 cable from the Envoy box to my router and the problem was solved. I believe there should be a way to change the Security Method settings on the Envoy box via the App or the web browser interface to match the Router WiFi settings. So I thank you Jonathan for your patience and great work, your determination to solve this issue shows that you care about your work and your customers. This was an IT issue not electrical, can't wait to start using this system. Thank you Castaway Energy for a job well done, I would recommend this company to anyone who is looking to go Solar.

Solar panel installation - Castaways Energy

Very impressed. From the onset, I spoke with educated technicians and a team who put together the best system for our size home and roof. I am very inquisitive by nature, plus with a computer background, I want to understand everything up front. This team made that happen. From the size, to the design layout, to my endless questions on battery backup vs just panels, their patience was endless and that is truly saying something! The craftsmanship was excellent. We installed not only a large solar panel system, but also a new roof. The coordination with all that entails, went smoothly. They handled everything, even the interaction and paperwork needed to hook up with our utility company (Duke). The best part, is now that we are live and producing energy, I can see how our system is working (even by panel) on an app. We have been known to show off our system to our friends with this app which is updated regularly. We are immensely happy with the new system and highly recommend them to anyone interested.
