Brilliant Harvest, LLC

Brilliant Harvest did a fantastic jog installing our solar panels. From the planning and permitting, to the installation and education process, Brilliant Harvest managed all of it and my part was effortless. Brilliant Harvest worked in harmony with Curry Roofing who installed a new standing seam metal roof which support the solar panels with zero roof penetrations! After the solar array was set up, the crew from Brilliant Harvest came in person to set up the recording applications so we can both monitor the solar energy production. I am looking forward to our ongoing relationship and appreciate sharing our common goal of creating a more sustainable and green life.

I highly recommend Brilliant Harvest, LLC. I installed full residential solar system a little over a year ago including 54 panels 20' x 60' solar array, carport solar foundation, and 3 Tesla power walls along with Tesla inverters and gateway. The installation was meticulous and well organized on exterior wall. I couldn't be more happy. I deliberately waited over a year to post this to see long term quality and performance. No maintenance or repairs needed. I just enjoyed 5 months in a row with minimum power bill FPL $27. Total saving so far $5500. Thank you.

We had Brilliant Harvest design, engineer and install a 36 panel solar array system for our home, which is located in a hurricane zone. Based on my experience, I'd highly recommend Brilliant Harvest for your solar project! Since the owner of Brilliant Harvest, Bill Johnson, has an engineering and technical background, he brought terrific insights throughout the project. Also, Bill helped us understand and take advantage of the government rebate that was available to reduce the cost of the system. Bill was engaged and incredibly responsive at every stage of the project - before, during and after the installation of our solar array panels and related system. I also want to compliment Brilliant Harvest's engineering and installation team, as well as the office staff, which helped guide us through permitting and other logistics with Florida Power & Light. The system Brilliant Harvest specified is extremely robust and was engineered and installed in such a way that it survived intense back-to-back hurricanes (Helene & Milton) and continued to perform as originally planned, without skipping a beat, which is a great testament to engineering, products specified and installation. Our system is delivering significant power to our home and sending power back to the grid.

In 2017 we had 26 panels and 2 Tesla powerwalls installed by Brilliant Harvest. They were a pleasure to work with as we decided what kind of system we wanted and how to implement it. At their suggestion we had a system installed that allowed for easy future expansion. After two years during which we were able to collect data on the performance of the system we added 7 more panels. Brilliant Harvest performed an expert installation after working diligently with the Sarasota County inspectors. This was not trivial since ours was one of the first installations of its kind in Sarasota County. We cannot say enough about the quality and service we have received from Brilliant Harvest. They really do provide true value for your dollar.

Solar Electric during Hurricane Ian

I like to share my experience with my solar electric system during hurricane Ian. The system consists of 28 solar panels for 11.4 kw generation and two Tesla Power Walls. The move to solar made sense to me, considering the increasing cost of energy and the tax incentive currently offered. Before the storm hit, I received a text message that the Tesla Power Walls were charged up full and ready to provide power during the hurricane emergency. It went on to say that we would not even know when Duke Energy failed. And that is exactly what happened. Duke was down for over an hour before one of my neighbors informed me that commercial power had failed. We enjoyed electric service from our solar system for the days that power from Duke was unavailable. We had air conditioning during the outage and were completely comfortable. We never had a power failure at our house…not even a little glitch. I am very happy with the system. It is just what I wanted. My system was installed by Brilliant Harvest of Sarasota. They did a great job! Everything works as it should. They always were on site when they said they would be and were very professional. I highly recommend them.

revised opinion

I have attempted to remove or revise my earlier review- unsuccessfully thus far. After several years of prompt, professional service & support for my system, I have revised my opinion of this company. I can fully endorse 'Brilliant Harvest' for installation & management of a 'net zero' residential solar system.

"Brilliant" work!

We are so delighted with our solar panels! The BH team was great; punctual and hard-working. They also liked our dog! We love going into the garage and hearing the whirring sound of solar being harvested. And our electric bill is substantially lower. It feels good to save money and the planet at the same time. Highly recommend.

Let me save you the time and anguish…you won’t find a better solar company or a better person than Mr. Johnson to help navigate the waters of investigating a solar system, sizing, purchasing/financing, and/or Tesla batteries. From a simple screw and nut on the mount to a cutting edge inverter to Tesla Powerwall 2.0 batteries, Brillant Harvest has it covered. Our experience was an unusual one … not enough South facing roof which was aging anyway requiring a ground mount, concrete pouring, about 300’ of trenching with cable lying and the actual gateway/inverter setup, everything was covered and went flawlessly. I have to admit I was a bit tepid about the size and complexity of the 20 kwh project, but again everything went off without a hitch! All questions (and concerns) were answered well past my expectations, phone calls immediately returned, support from the office staff (who met me at my location for paperwork), permitting and city/FPL inspections handled with professionalism and were actually painless and somewhat enjoyable as a learning experience thanks to Bill. The end product is both sharp and clean in appearance. It’s exceptionally functional without issues. Controlled by an app I’m able to see all aspects of the system, make real time changes, turn components on and off while sitting back to relax as the system collects and stores electrons. The system is the envy of friends, family and neighbors alike. If you’re looking to reduce your power bill, go green or cut the power company cord there isn’t a better company out there to help you navigate the waters of project completion every step of the way from beginning to end!

Outstanding service, performance and savings!

Brilliant Harvest installed our solar PV system. At the time, FP&L was still offering rebates and - I must tell you - this was an intimidating process. Plus there ended up being some major issues on FP&L's side, including a first round of rebates with technology issues online. But Brilliant Harvest helped us to plan for and navigate every step of the way and we successfully secured our rebate. We were very happy with the level of service, every step of the way. The business owner, Bill, answered our many questions patiently and promptly. Crews came when they were supposed to, were courteous, and cleaned up after themselves on every visit. Everything has been functioning well and we also think the design of our system is pretty appealing from the street. Our kids, who understand very well the environmental disaster theirs and future generations will be inheriting, also think we're pretty cool for doing what we can to reduce our carbon footprint. Plus now we like being able to monitor our system online, at any time, to check output. I highly recommend using Brilliant Harvest to install your solar electricity system!
