Aurora has been a terrific partner for commercial-scale solar projects--they offer fair and transparent pricing, and their operations team is responsive, efficient, and very capable. When some pre-existing challenges at the site became apparent, their team was professional and worked hard to find resolution without delaying the deployment. Definitely worthwhile to give them a call if you're looking at scoping out commercial scale solar options.

From the project developers to the construction superintendants, the team at Aurora has been very effective to work with, and has provided constant communication throughout the entire process. They were able to address several issues that arose throughout each process, and set the right expectations from day 1 in terms of timelines and delivery dates. I would certainly recommend them to anyone looking to install PV solar projects on their commercial properties.

Aurora installed a 17 kw system on our roof during the summer of 2016. I started working with Aurora in the Spring of 2016. I was considering another company as well, so there were several months of questions and answers and updated proposals. I decided to use Aurora since I like the SunPower modules, the fact that Aurora was a local company that had been installing solar panels for many years, plus their excellent reviews. Aurora provided excellent communication during the entire installation phase (that took a little longer than expected, due to the excessive heat). I would like to provide extra thanks to Dustin who worked long, hot hours to make sure everything was done correctly. The only issue was the final system commissioning by SunPower, which should have been completed soon after installation but took several weeks. Aurora continued to query SunPower until the commissioning was finally completed.

Great Hassle Free Installation

My PV array was installed three years ago and so far I had no single problem with it. I have made my research before I have selected Aurora. Their offer had competitive price and best panels well matched to microinverters. The work was performed on time as promised, including permits, inspections, and registrations. The array production is spot on averaging so far about 1% over the promised level. Over the last three years there is no observable deterioration of the energy producing power of the PVs.

We ordered a system in early April, had it installed early June. In July BGE finally finished all of their approvals and installed the net meter. Aurora was very easy to work with throughout and informative about all of the current incentives (30% Federal Tax credit, $1000 Maryland grant, SREC's). They employ their own installers and did a great job, very professional. My system has worked great so far. My July and August electric bills were negative, of course I know in the winter I will still have a big bill, but 8 months out of the year I should be break even or better.

Not very responsive after the installation to resolve some pending items

Mike Ryan was excellent to deal with in every way. He did what he said he would do, came when he said he would, explained things well, got permits and gave me papers to sign, and was very friendly all the time. His workers were very good and pleasant too. I highly recommend him and Aurora Energy.

We are very pleased with the excellent service and quality installation that AuroraEnergy provided us on our PV solar system. The entire team, and Michael Ryan in particular, paid a great deal of attention to detail doing things the best way possible, provided accurate and complete information to us from the beginning, kept us informed as the process progressed, submitted all the required paperwork and documentation timely, and were professional in every respect.

We have been extremely satisfied with the entire process involving Aurora Energy, especially with the support provided by Jason Brennan. Aurora has been on top of all matters related to the design and installation of our system since day 1. The only issue was the very long delay in the arrival of the micro-converters needed for our system, an issue which was seemingly out of Aurora`s control. We would not hesitate to recommend the company to others.

Because we had a contractor and architect for the renovatin of our house, we didn`t work with Aurora directily until we had problems. It was 50/50 whose responsibility the areas that needed attention were -but we are able to get things corrected. We still don`t know why we are having intermittant tripping of the breaker to the water heater - but the contractor is going to call the water heater manufacturer.

We chose to buy a very large residential system to provide for as much of our use as possible. Our system includes 19,040kW of PV panels and a 40-tube collector for hot water heating. Roof space limitations and some shading issues steered us toward high efficiency PV panels. We asked for bids from 4 different firms. Aurora Energy very clearly offered the best combination of value, technology, knowledge, and installation experience. The job was finished very professionally, and Aurora is still following up with all the necessary state approvals and related paperwork. If you need further endorsement, please note that SunPower (maker of the world`s most efficient solar panels) has designated Aurora Energy as the only "premier" SunPower dealer in Maryland. Regarding the low importance I placed on power "reliability": with net-metering, I don`t care when the power is generated - we still get credit for it. Of course, I still count on the system to produce well on sunny days. In my opinion the systems will pay for themselves within a reasonable time (about 6-8 years), and then we`ll have many years of free/very low cost power. Great job, Aurora!

Everyone was very professional and friendly. They contacted me when MD was about to change the tax allowance (Reduce) to inform me and offered to rush the application in to make sure that we qualified for the higher rate.

My main contact at Aurora Energy was Jason Brennan. Jason has answered all my questions ans kept me informed throughout the installation. The project went well and is performing well. I am very pleased with the project. They have my recomendation. I am completely satisfied with my Sunpower solar system and the work performed by Aurora Engineering and Jason Brennan.

We already owned the panels as my wife works at B.P. Solar.

Were references willingly provided for you to contact ? - Since this was and upgrade to an existing solar system, references were not needed. Aurora Energy installed both solar PV and domestic solar hot water systems in fall 2007. Work began on the date and time promised ? - SunPower stopped accepting orders in mid-November- therefore, our system was delayed ~60 days. Not the fault of Aurora Energy. Work was completed according to the schedule promised ? Again, see answer above- furthermore, the mid-Atlantic was subject to unusual blizzard activity. The amount of snow and cold temperatures delayed our install even further. No fault to Aurora Energy.

I chose Aurora due to the referral of a friend. They seem to be a small shop with all of the advatages and disadvantagesof asmall shop. Transition to a fully operational system was a little shaky

a great company to work with. the job was done professionally and the site was cleaned prior to leaving each time. The showed up when they said and communicated with us at all time of the project. can`t wait to recommend to someone else !
