AMECO Solar & Roofing

Easy company to work with Fast Installation

We had a excellent experience using Ameco and would highly recommend. Quick and easy installation. No issues to date. Very happy with the experience.

Quality, Friendly, and COVID Safe Service!

***I also posted this review on Yelp. Thank you again to the staff!*** I have to start by saying WOW. I don't know why I didn't have a solar system installed in my home years ago; my electric bill is almost non-existent now. I don't cringe at the sight of the LADWP bill anymore and I must say, it is all thanks to the team over at AMECO. I have a background in Electrical Engineering so to say that I was an easy customer to deal with would be a severe understatement. I must have drove their lovely project manager, Yazmina, absolutely insane with the amount of times I called ha! However, no matter how many questions or concerns I brought them throughout the entire process, they were always there to help immediately, or as soon as they had the information I wanted to hear. All in all, I'd say AMECO is definitely the company to speak to if you're looking into a solar system for your home.

Exceptional

Exceptional service. Really enjoyed my solar experience with AMECO. They did my previous house 9 years ago and they were awesome once again. My new house had very complex roof angles which they accommodated easily. Other providers could do it. Highly recommend them to everyone. They are currently doing my in laws house.

Great Experience

Working with Ameco was a great overall experience. Starting with their sales team, and all the way through installation and support, I've been very pleased with my choice to use Ameco. Thomas was fantastic on the sales side, and patiently answered all of my questions (sometimes over and over again) for a couple of months while we weighed our solar options. Installation was scheduled quickly, and happened as planned. The install crew was courteous and left the space around the house clean at the end of each work day. The support team has been great in helping us understand how to analyze our solar production and in answering questions as they arise. The products and pricing we were offered were pretty similar across all of the companies we requested quotes from, but Ameco won us over with their stellar staff and customer service.

New management is AMAZING!

I called, looking for a solar system for my mom’s house, to make it easier on her with her electric bill. She likes running her AC all day! They got me a great deal! I will get my tax credit and my mom is so happy! It literally zeroed out her bill! Ha! I understand it’s a new management, and so let me tell you..The new management really cares about the customers, they explained everything and made sure my mom was comfortable with the installation crew and all the the professionals that came to the house. Love love love! Congrats Idan, Thomas and the rest of the guys! I’m forever grateful!!

Solar installation. Great experience.

Me and my wife used ameco earlier this year to install solar on our home in Long Beach. So far, the savings have shown to be well worth it. The folks there are very honest and professional.

solar panel install

John Allen a no BS but not pushy salesman, just knowledgeable and honest. Every aspect from install to final approval seamless.

Residential Review

Ameco Solar installed solar panels for me at my South Bay residence. The team were very knowledgeable and professional throughout the proposal and implementation phase. I appreciated their guiding me through the details of the process with my ultimate vision of using solar panels to accommodate the transition to an electric vehicle. Everything is working like a charm as anticipated.

rooftop solar

Excellent job by all involved both through email and actual on-job at my home.

Exceeded our expectations

Ameco Solar was recommended by our contractor while we were doing an extensive remodel. Ameco employees were very courteous and seemed extremely knowledgeable about their system. When it came time to start up the solar, they provided very detailed instructions and offered assistance if ever needed. We are very happy with the performance of the system and enjoying the $10.46 a month electric bill.

Pool heating

Job was completed in one day. Worker where on time and very efficient. When I came home from work job was complete. I have enjoyed a nice warm pool since.

Professional work

The staff at Ameco were easy to work with from first meeting to completion. The installation was quick and clean. A minor software issue with monitoring system was taken care of. They did not oversell the benefits and answered all questions we had. Great team of people.

Warm pool!

We love our warm pool! Our 2 year old grandson can't wait to swim! The salesman, installation, and results have been delightful.

Great solar system

We had Ameco instal a solar pool system for us, they did a great job on the installation, and it really heats the pool nicely, so we don't have to use the pool heater. I highly recommend the investment.

Complete satisfaction beginning to end

After studying about solar PV installations, I got quotes from about 5 different companies. The large companies all sounded the same, we are the greatest and we can install a great system for you. Ameco's salesman, Todd F. came to the house and answered all my questions very knowledgeably and even went up on the roof to evaluate how to best use my roof's solar facing area. Todd was like an engineer in his proposal. David S., the companies actual degreed engineer, fine tuned the solar PV installation and set up a scheduled installation and obtained all the permits, including the Net Zero Application with SoCal Edison. The installation crew, led by Pritesh, who has a degree in electrical engineering from Cal Poly Pomona, were very knowledgeable and hard working as well as pleasant to deal with. Ameco Solar, a local small company doing solar since 1974, gave me what I wanted, a quality system installed properly.

Jim B

Ameco installed a 9kw system for us 4 months ago and we could not be happier. Everything was done as they said it would be. John Allen was our rep. and he was more knowlegable about solar than any of the other companies we had come out. John explained the real value of solar ownership vs. the scam of leasing, that most companies try to offer. We will be referring Ameco to any body that wants to go solar.

Job Well Done

After a great deal of research on my area's solar panel installers, I made the choice to go with Ameco. I encourage you to make random contact with their past installation customers and ask them for their personal feedback. I did. I actually called 10 of them and every single one gave positive reviews. I am very detailed oriented and was concerned about having the installation done properly foremost but also about the finished appearance and performance. Ameco came through on all counts. Electrics were wired neatly, they even painted all the outside lines to match my house. Three bills received from SoCal Edison and every one, negative billing! Feel free to contact me with any questions.

Hooper PV System With Micro Inverters

Once my wife and I made the decision to invest in solar I did a lot of research on various system types and solar companies. After calling several companies and having two give us estimates at the house, Ameco was the most professional from my first contact from the secretary to John our salesman. John came to the house to answer our questions and concerns and did not pressure us into making a decision that evening- very low key which was greatly appreciated. I called John multiple times in the evening with additional questions and he always returned my calls that same evening. He even brought a plain aluminum frame panel and put it on our roof so we could see how it would look against our roof color before we finalized our decision on our panels. Their installation crew was on time on the installation date and was also very professional and accommodated my conduit routing request which was a little different than their original plan. Amoco's engineering and design was spot on with sizing our system; as our system was installed in late May 2013 and we still received almost $60 from So.Cal Edison even though we missed nearly five months of production that calendar year. David, their general manager handled all of the required HOA approvals & city permits and was great to deal with. I would HIGHLY recommend Ameco Solar for anyone considering a solar system.

solar system

sales person was excellent and upfront.....other companies did not follow through nor did they provide the information that Todd did...

Great Experience - Great Company !

Ameco was a pleasure to work with from the very beginning. We had our PTO (permission to operate) from SCE a few weeks ago, and we are elated. This company excels in Customer Service. Professional to the core. Everyone kept us informed and up to date with the whole process all the way through. We only bid one other company and pricing was comparable. However, we definitely feel we got the better product with LG panels. I rarely write reviews, much less gush about a company. But if you are in the market to go solar, look no further, AMECO is your company. It is expensive and it is an investment, but you won't be sorry you did it, and you won't be sorry you chose Ameco. This is a review from a real person, not a fake.

Solar Installation in South Pasadena

We recently had our solar installation by Ameco Solar and am happy to report that it was a trouble free installation from start to finish. From the very start of the operation by way of contact with the sales force, the young man that came out and reviewed my house/roof to the office staff that treated us so professionally. The project Manager that worked very hard with the South Pasadena City Hall for permits etc., to the impeccable job of Installation by the Leader, Perrish and his crew. I am happy to recommend them to anyone who is interested in going solar. I spoke with a number of companies before making my decision to go with Ameco, who in every regard earned full marks. Happy Customer

Ameco put solar panels on our new construction 4 years ago, and they are still performing in top condition. They were extremely professional, and a pleasure to work with. We are still in contact with them because they set up a cleaning recently and gave us a performance evaluation. I would highly recommend Ameco to anyone considering solar panels.

Very Satisfied All Around

Our September 2013 installation went very smoothly. We had our roof replaced at the same time. The solar installation crew worked closely with the roofer. Overall it was a positive experience. Everything went along on time and as promised. I am very pleased with the result.

Pleased customer

We have had Ameco install the solar arrays on our home as well as our apartment building. They were on schedule for the installations and the team was very good installing and cleaning up the job sites. Both arrays are working well with our home array outputting a little more power than we were estimated. We have recommended Ameco to a friend who is also pleased with the quality of their work.

Great Product and Outstanding Customer Service

I've had my solar system for over 5 years now. The installation went smooth, and the system is performing better than projected. I highly recommend Ameco Solar. Councilmember Gary DeLong City of Long Beach
