We got three estimates for installing solar for our rather large pool (hard to heat) and decided on Alcor. We loved Al from the moment we met him and trusted him immediately. His estimate was very reasonable. Al and his team installed our solar system this spring and were fast, reliable and responsive. Their follow-up has been excellent, and the system is working beautifully. We've been able to swim comfortably all summer. Last summer the pool never got over 74 degrees, and this summer we've been able to keep it in the mid-80's every day. Scheduling is a nightmare, and Al gets very irritated if you ask for timing so they can access your roof especially post install. You will need service and they are not great at this. The owner appears very unstable based on email exchanges; they lost our payment, then found it. In the meantime, they refused service, and when they found the check we provided, they asked to cash it in exchange for servicing manufacturer defects with Solar Industries collectors. They are exclusive in the area so I would look elsewhere as you are stuck with someone who is a little off. They don’t stand by their product, and neither does Solar Industries (Aquatherm). We have defects in the installation, including leaks on our roof from the collectors after 4 years, and now the valve is not working.
