After we replaced our roof in 2015, we decided this would be a great time to explore the feasibility of installing a solar electric system. Our roofer recommended that we call Nick Arceneaux with Universal Solar. Nick visited with us several times to design the PV system that best suited our needs. He answered all of our questions thoroughly and was very knowledgeable about the entire process. It was more affordable than we anticipated. We felt comfortable with the company and information presented so we decided to move forward with the system. Universal’s team went above and beyond to secure the Avalon Park HOA approval and set up the OUC solar application. The installation team, consisting of Jason, Chase, and Shaun, worked quickly and neatly to ensure the project was completed as per the original plan Nick designed for us. Once the installation was complete, inspections by both Orange County and OUC passed on the first visit. So far, the solar energy projections Nick promised to us have been accurate. Residential Solar Electric Exceeded Expectations

After we decided to pursue a solar electric PV system to reduce our environmental impact and initially researched the topic, we chose Universal Solar to design, install, and commission our new 28 panel, 8.7 kW grid-tied system. The system design specialist, Nick Arceneaux (NABCEP certified), was professional, very knowledgeable, and patient (3 hours!) with understanding our vision and providing a corresponding proposal. Once we made our decision, he was always available and very responsive for questions and status updates during all phases of the project. The lead time for the order and permitting phase exactly matched Nick's original estimate; therefore, the installation started without delays. The installation was executed very well and completed on time by the team of Chase, Robert, and Zack. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and quality-minded. The installation and commissioning was led by Christopher Maingot, an NABCEP certified professional and Florida leader. Our new, turn-key electric PV system is performing well and the SolarEdge monitoring is very effective. Hot Water Solar

We recently had Nick Arceneaux come out and give us a quote on a Solar Hot Water system. We decided to proceed because we thought it was a fair price, we really needed to replace an old Fafco system the previous homeowners installed, and had worked with Nick in the past on a pool solar install and were very pleased. Jason Reale and Chase Aboud were our installers and they did great. They quickly realized that the previous system was not even installed correctly due to the pitch of the roof and made a much better call on roof position to still give us optimum sun exposure and proper install. Nick even made another trip out to answer some questions we had about the system. Superior Solar on the House

This was a great experience on getting solar panels, pool pump and a new solar attic fan installed. From Sales, to the Installers, to the front office -this entire team was on point and has been superb. The quality was evident from Day 1, as they aptly named their company, "Superior" Solar. I really liked how they informed me on exactly what to expect, from the permitting process, to equipment installation, to obtaining a new bi-directional meter from the power company. Its a joy to watch my meter run in reverse :) and to know that I am making a difference on diminishing the use of fossil fuels (let's get this dependency down to zero or at least negligible). I now look at roof tops in a completely different mindset, ie you could be doing Solar and contributing to a cleaner environment just like me. I also plan to do an 'open house' Solar Party that Superior makes available on each new customer install. My brother is in the Solar business in CA and they are light years ahead of the Sunshine state :(. Perhaps my next goal is to get a job in the industry, perhaps with this "Superior" organization. let the sunshine in!

We wanted to be more independent from the electric company so a battery back up grid tie system seemed like the way to go. We spoke to few companies in the area about getting a system installed, most of them didn't seem to informed or motivated to do the job until I spoke to Sam at Universal Solar. Sam was motivated and well informed about the products they had to offer and after several phone calls and a few meetings we decided on the battery back up grid tie system. With Chris's expert over seeing the installation setup and commissioning of the system to it's completion, we now feel quite independent ,now if and when the grid goes down we won't. Thanx Richard for tying up the loose ends and finalizing financing and the installation. Great People, Great Company, Great Service!!!!

I had Superior Solar install both a variable speed pump/suntouch controller for my pool and a solar hot water tank. I was out of town when my wife had a problem with the clarity of the water. David was there the next morning and taught her how to work the system. About 3 years later we had several cloudy days and electric back system didn't seem to be working. Called David on his cell at 7PM and he called right back walked me thru a few trouble shooting areas and once again back on line. Can't say enough good things about this company. By the way, electric bill has dropped considerably!!!

Solar photovoltaic, solar hot water, attic ventilation, radiant

Solar Source installed 7.25 kilowatts of photovoltaic solar, 60 gallons of solar hot water, solar attic ventilation and radiant barrier on my home in April of 2015. Since then I have enjoyed zero and extremely low power bills. Couldn't be happier enjoying savings and supporting renewable energy.

Had several estimates. Seems there are some shady companies out there. Others wouldn't give me a written estimate because they were too afraid that I might show it to the competition. Checked Superior Solar on BBB & Yelp. Lots of positive reviews. Their written estimate was extremely detailed. They took care of the permits, filling out HOA architecture review material, contacting/arranging for utility company to make connections. Installers completed all the work in a day and 1/2. I'm happy I went with them.

Exceeded Expectations on Solar Electric System

I had been looking for a solar pv system for a few months and because I am an engineer and had done some research I had a lot of questions.. Some of the other installers were slow returning answers and following up. Not the salesperson from Superior Solar. He was good about answering my technical questions and after I went silent for a while he followed up and scheduled a site visit to answer any other questions I might have. I ended up contracting with them due to price and flexibility to meet my desires. At my request they made sure that all of the panels and microinverters came from domestic factories. The install and delivery went exactly on schedule and as described with additional questions being answered along the way. The installation people were very friendly and hard working and genuinely appeared to enjoy what they were doing. The panels they promised me weren't available, so they gave me another model (less power) from the same manufacturer. They compensated by adding an extra panel and micro-inverter (really nice!). The total rated output ended up being slightly more than originally agreed. Additionally, after the contract I found that the monitoring software for the microinverters had a feature that I wanted. They added that feature in for free at their additional cost even though I offered to pay for it. I am very happy with their professionalism, quality and to date, their service. I would recommend them highly. Note that I usually find it hard to give perfect scores, but this time I am completely satisfied.

Excellent Solar Panel Company

I had an aging solar pool heating system, installed by myself, that I needed to get replaced. I noticed the great looking installation on a neighbor's roof and asked them what they thought of the company that installed. They gave me a positive recommendation for Superior Solar, so I called them for some information. David came by and explained the system to us, although I had already done some research on the company and their product, Helicoil, and was already somewhat familiar with the in's and out's of solar panel design and installation. He was respectful and thorough. What what I knew and what I was hearing, it was a no-brainer to contract them to replace my old system. Scheduling was easy and they arrived on-time and knocked out the installation in a day. I climbed the roof to inspect the next day. The installation was clean and complete. The system ran fine for several months until I noticed a small leak. A quick call, followed immediately by a service visit and the leak was repaired. I fully recommend this company for your solar pool heating needs. Not only is their product top of the line, but they are a great company to deal with!

Outstanding!

In the process of making our decision about what Solar PV system we were going to install, we spoke to more that 6 different vendors. We learned a lot about the different types of inverters and panels available, and found some vendors very helpful in answering our questions, and others not so helpful. We also discovered some companies weren’t really keeping up with the advancements in technology, and a few were even giving out factually false information. We selected Universal Solar because they had the most experience with the type of system we wanted. Nick, their sales guy was very low pressure but always available and responsive to our questions. He was very patient with us as we tried to learn and understand these systems in order to make the right choice for our home. The installation when very smoothly, and the timing of the entire process went more quickly than we had anticipated. We liked that they have several folks on staff who are NABCEP certified, and were impressed with the professionalism and knowledge of the install crew. We have had our system turned on for a couple weeks now and are very happy with its performance so far. Universal Solar has exceeded our expectations. When we had additional questions, Nick Arceneaux made time in his schedule to come by and answer them. Jason Reale and Shaun Newell were professional and helpful. They corrected existing mistakes in our plumbing and electrical systems, making it all look and work perfectly, and they also carted off the old heater. Excellent product and customer service

I needed to heat my inground pool to be able to swim year round as that is my exercise. I compared gas, electric and solar heaters. Solar was my choice. Then I compare local solar installation companies and Superior Solar was my choice. The entire process was wonderful. David Spanier created a system for us that is perfect. Best Investment

Superior Solar walked me through an initially scary process--what was I getting myself into? As they continued to deliver on everything they promised, my confidence grew. Now, I have flawless panels, home computer monitoring of performance, a drastically reduced electric bill, and contributed to the environment to boot. Inspired me to go all electric--electric riding mower, electric lawn tools...even a new Tesla! It will take some time to amortize the costs, but along the way I am earning right at 6% on my net investment--guaranteed returns, and tax free.

They provided an outstanding product and the customer service was refreshingly good. In this fast paced age we live in it is still nice to know that there are people like David Spanier with Superior Solar that take great pride in their work, the product they deliver and personalized customer service. The great customer service does not end with David though, it extends through the entire chain of employees. From the installers to the sales force, all of them exceeded my expectations for a great product and customer service. During the initial layout stage they brought to my attention the two alternatives for running the plumbing for the solar panels, across the roof or underground with the rest of the new pool plumbing. During the install phase they were very thorough, had great installers who were persistent on letting them paint the solar piping on the house, which turned out great, glad they were persistent. The install came out very clean and at first glance is hard to tell that my house even has solar panels on the roof. They also sent a follow-up email asking how things were going and a hand written thank you card with gourmet brownies in the mail. Very impressed with the finished product and the experience as a whole. I would highly recommend Superior Solar and David Spanier if you are looking for a great product, knowledgeable sales representatives and installers and customer service that is some of the best I have come across in a long time.
