Enphase Battery Backup and Solar A+ Bright Eye Solar

Did my google/reddit research and reached out to a couple Solar companies in May of 2025. Bright Eye was one of those I selected and they were quick to reply. Josh was the one that answered and I must have sent twenty emails with a couple phone calls mixed in there. He usually replied within the hour. Looking back, I was probably a PITA customer, but Josh never treated me like one. I apparently asked some more technical questions and he was happy to answer. There was another company I thought seemed like a good choice, but they were more expensive and suggested one less battery. Both were suggesting to use Enphase tech, and that's what we went forward with. A third company was suggesting a different larger company battery, but I read some less satisfactory things about them, so I chose the Enphase product and gave my deposit to Bright Eye Solar in June. From there, Russel took over with scheduling. He also was quick to reply, generally within 24 hours unless there was a more pressing matter. The engineering drawings came back a few weeks later. The township issued the approval almost two months later. Peco on the other hand, took their merry time. We scheduled the install in August and it was completed two weeks later. Install went smooth and looked great when done. We flicked the switch and it was generating power! There were a couple small hiccups, but Russel was on top of things right away. Nothing major, just a technicality with Enphase. Now for Peco.. Peco was really dragging their feet. I was talking with Sunny at Peco, and she's a nice lady, but there are no fires lit over there. Peco makes it feel like they have 4 people covering a 100 mile radius. Finally received the approval from PECO at the end of September. I was not officially on line with Peco and had the two way meter until mid October. So almost 5 months from start to finish. Still waiting on the SRECs to be finalized, but that's no big deal. While I was waiting for PECO, we basically used the system off-grid. I used the batteries at night to run the house and the August/September sun powered the house and charged the batteries during the day. Worked flawlessly. So cool. Very happy with Bright Eye Solar.

Competitive, Reliable, Easy to work with

Bright Eye Solar was willing to remove my 15 year old roof array for a necessary shingle roof replacement for a reasonable price without requiring that I commit to a new solar installation. Every other regional company I contacted either explicitly required tying removal to a new system or quoted prices more than double (ie not interested). Once I had my new roof installed and rain tested I decided to install a new array. Bright Eye earned my business at this point. They installed a 16kw array with micro-inverters efficiently and cleanly. Not a single lag bolt missed the roof truss. My new array operates flawlessly.

Solar Panels

I am very pleased with the solar panels

Nathaniel Ravo | York, PA | 07/13/2025

We recently had Bright Eye Solar install a solar panel system at our home, and we couldn't be happier with the entire experience. From our initial consultation to the turning on the system, everything was handled with professionalism, expertise, and care. Bright Eye handled all of the permitting process, inspections and connecting us with an SREC broker. The team at Bright Eye Solar was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to thoroughly explain every step of the process. They answered all of our questions patiently and ensured we felt comfortable without any high pressure sales. We were informed throughout the entire process of what was happening and what the next steps were. The installation itself was seamless – their crew was efficient, respectful of our property, and completed the work to a very high standard. We were truly impressed with their attention to detail and the quality of their work. Bright Eye Solar made the transition to solar power easy and enjoyable, and we are so grateful for their outstanding service!

Satisfied customer

My experience with Bright Eye Solar lived up to my expectations. I had a lot of questions and details that I needed worked out and the salesman, Josh, was very patient and responsive. I am a retired builder and I was very focused on every detail of the process. It took awhile to get from signing contracts to installation but I know that had a lot to do with the sudden rush to go solar. The install was very neatly done and professional. I am very happy with the results.

Installed and Performing Exactly as Discussed

Installation of our 72 panels on 2 ground mounted racks was done perfectly. Despite having to work in challenging winter conditions at times, Bright Eye stayed on-schedule. Coordination with the local municipality and utility was handled expeditiously without any issues. The system has worked perfectly for 2 months now and is producing electricity at the rate forecasted by Bright Eye. We are super satisfied customers!!

A Bright Experience

I recently had the pleasure of working with the team at Bright Eye Solar. From the moment I contacted them until the day of PTO it was a good process. I asked for a speedy install to be completed prior to end of 2024 and the job was completed in the time frame I asked for. One of the products failed (not the installers fault) and the problem was resolved and is working perfectly. The price, the people, and the process are all 5 stars.

Seamless installation - superior customer service

I had been in the market for a solar solution for my custom home since I made the decision to build a custom home back in late 2023. We broke ground in 2024 and I had made my decision to go with Bright Eye Solar before the end of summer 2024. The team came out to my build site and explained the process of the install with my home architect. This crucial step made it really easy and efficient to have the correct portals and lines ran for the future install. A few other companies I had in mind for solar wanted me to wait until the home was fully finished and I had my utilities connected. They lost me as a client right then and there. Bright Eye took my project head on without any hesitation. The install took about a week during some terrible weather and they fulfilled the plan of action without any delay. The install for my 14k system was efficient and smooth and every single one of my million questions was answered. This company really informs their consumer on what to expect and how things work. I am currently working with my tax accountant to take advantage of the tax credit and I am about to see some real savings in my utility bill next month. If you are looking for an all-star solar company to work with, I strongly suggest Bright Eye Solar.

Absolutely Consider Bright Eye Solar

I tend to wait to post reviews until I have had enough time to witness the effect of a product. We had our solar installed a bit over a year ago and I have been thrilled with the experience. The direct work with Mike and the installers through Bright Eye Solar was fantastic. They were professional, efficient, and quick with install. We could not say enough good things about our install process. After having the system over a year, we have been thrilled with its production and impact on our bills/family. The interface of Enphase has been brought up when compared with others we know have solar and it continues to show as superior. We continue to be very satisfied with our decision to go solar and absolutely suggest anyone considering it to go through Bright Eye Solar.

Top notch company-quality install-they make it easy

There are many solar installation contractors eager for your business. Some are better than others. I was in touch with another provider first. That sales rep exaggerated (lied) and he knew I recognized it. He gave up the chase, and I moved on. A friend in Mechanicsburg had a very positive experience with Bright Eye Solar, so I contacted them. From the start they were professional, and did a fastidious job in the installation. Great efforts were taken to hide the conduit as much as possible, painting it to match the siding, and moving one box into the basement, minimizing the pieces that needed to be attached to the outside of the house. The electrician/crew chief Zach was the primary guy responsible. He was eager to please the customer, pleasant to work with, and obviously a bright guy. But all of the staff were good at their jobs and a credit to the company, making a complicated project as easy and pleasant as possible. I would recommend Bright Eye Solar without any hesitation. I can't imagine finding a better company.

Great overall contracting experience

I selected Bright Eye Solar, after seeking proposals from a number of recommended solar PV residential contractors, based on their knowledgeable sales staff, responsiveness in questions, 14 years of experience, competitive pricing, overall solar PV package [including getting the garage EV ready]. And, most importantly, they delivered on everything promised, in half the time I expected. Their entire organization, from sales, to engineering, permitting, and overall project management to billing demonstrates they are a well-oiled machine. At this point [still waiting on PECO for net meter switch out, which is scheduled to be very soon], I highly recommend the Bright Eye. A little shout out to PECO too for their very efficient interconnection process - much improved from the past.

Great company to work with

We have nothing but positive things to say about our experience so far. All of our many questions were answered, the installers went above and beyond for us to make sure we had a good experience during the install and understood the system. Highly recommend.

Excellent Service Excellent Support

Bright Eye Solar is an outstanding company that provides excellent service. All the work done by Bright Eye Solar installers was high quality. They completed the installation of the roof top panels and the installation of the circuit panels much faster than I thought possible. Russell, project manager, took the township inspector through the evaluation of the installation without a hitch. The township approved the work completed by Bright Eye Solar fully without any need for any changes or adjustments. It was vital for me to have Bright Eye Solar walk me through the process of managing the transfer from our PPL power to the solar power. Working with PPL to make the transfer was the most challenging part of the process. Bright Eye Solar guided me in the process to make it happen! Since the need for reliable power source is vital to running of a home, I wanted to find a company that I could trust and work with for years to come. Bright Eye Solar has been in business for years and has a well earned excellent reputation.

Got the job done quickly and professionally

From the initial sales contact to monitoring after completion, the task was completed quickly and professionally. Any questions were answered as soon as I expected. The installers were friendly yet professional and followed up on questions I had. I have experience with installation in another state so I expected some differences in procedures, but Bright Eye exceeded my expectations in every respect. The monitoring of the system used greatly enabled me to use the system effectively to increase efficiency.

Bright Eye Solar

I recently had the pleasure of working with Bright Eye Solar, and I can confidently say they exceeded all my expectations. One of the aspects that truly impressed me was their personalized approach. They took the time to understand my specific energy needs and provided tailored solutions that fit perfectly with my home. The technicians were skilled, efficient, and respectful of my property. They completed the job in a timely manner without sacrificing quality, and the end result speaks for itself - a sleek, efficient solar system that is already making a noticeable impact on my energy usage. an excellent experience

Bright Eye Solar was a great company to work with. We had been looking into solar for a couple of years but the solar tax credits made it worthwhile to pursue. All of the people we met from Bright Eye were pleasant and able to answer our questions in layman's language. They were prompt in their design and permit applications and installation was a breeze. Our follow-up questions were also answered quickly. We highly recommend Bright Eye Solar.

Installing Solar and Instilling Confidence!

Thanks to the Biden Administration's Inflation Reduction Act and homeowner tax credits for solar energy, we decided to take the leap in 2023 and install solar panels on our home. After researching several companies, we decided to work with Bright Eye Solar. The first person we met via video call was Michael Charles, and he was extremely informative, friendly, and professional. We had a terrific conversation with all our questions answered, and learned a lot more about the process and materials available today. He made us feel very confident about our decision, and has been an excellent resource as additional questions came up, as has our project manager, Russell Manley. When the whole crew came to do the installation, we were impressed with how efficiently they worked and how low-impact a big job like this could be for our family. For example, we have two dogs and they hardly noticed all that was going on out there, and were still able to go out in the back yard as often as needed because the crew kept their ladders in the front and side yards at my request. Of course nearly all of the work was done outside with just one brief visit to our electrical panel in the basement, and even that was arranged so it would be convenient for us. The new panels look beautiful on our home and we can see our daily solar production online, which is very exciting! You can still take advantage of the AMAZING tax credit in 2024, so if you are on the fence like we were, this definitely makes it a more affordable venture and Bright Eye Solar will make it a positive experience. Every member of the Bright Eye team has been a pleasure to work with, and we highly recommend them when you are ready to make your own energy!

Bright Eye Solar is seriously incredible!

Bright Eye Solar hooked me up with a solar system this December, and it was hands down the best decision ever. First off, these guys are just awesome. Super friendly, and they didn't make me feel like a dummy even though I had no clue about solar stuff. They took the time to explain everything without using crazy technical jargon, and I really appreciated that. The installation itself was a breeze. They were on top of things, and you could tell they knew their stuff. Plus, they were so thorough—checking twice to make sure everything was perfect. What I loved the most was that they made going solar exciting. I mean, who gets pumped about solar panels, right? But these guys managed to do it! They talked about all the cool benefits and even showed me how I'd be saving money in the long run. It got me genuinely stoked about making a positive impact on the environment. I'm not one to write reviews, but Bright Eye Solar earned every bit of this five-star rating. If you're thinking about going solar, these are the folks to call. I'm already telling all my buddies to hit them up. Thanks, Bright Eye Solar, for making this whole solar thing a breeze! You guys rock!

Great local company

I started gathering quotes for our solar install back in April '21. Bright Eye was one of 6 quotes I got and, while not being the cheapest per kW, earned my business through the honest and forthright conversations I had with Josh. Josh priced out several different configurations of panels and inverters for me and we ultimately ended up going with Silfab 330's and Enphase IQ7+ microinverters. Our project got delayed a few months at no fault of BES, which ended up being a good thing as the 330's were discontinued and Silfab launched the Elite line which offers 2% better efficiency. The contract was signed in August for 30 Silfab 370's/Enphase IQ7+ for an 11.1 kW system. Working with Yvette through the contract, utility interconnection, inspections, etc. was a breeze. She was quick to respond to my emails and answered any questions I had. In September, Josh reached out offering an upgrade to Silfab 380's (I assume due to supply issues) which bumped the size up to 11.4kW and dropped the cost to a respectable $2.58/kW. Austin, the project manager, contacted me to schedule the install which began in December and took three full days. Email responses were a bit slow, but I'll chalk it up to Austin being out of office at job sites. RJ was the lead on the install team and Adam was the electrician. Both were pleasant to work with and answered any questions I had. On day one RJ let me know that the original plans to only use the upper dormer on my house wasn't going to work with the 380's and they would have to use the lower dormer above my garage. Not an issue to me, but something I thought could have been recognized before the crew was on the roof. In the end, they made it work. On the last day of install, I was told that the Enphase Envoy combiner was MIA and they wouldn't be able to finish the install until that came in. This took another week and a half come in, but they were out at the house quickly to get it up and running. Yvette and Austin got the inspections scheduled and everything passed just fine. One thing we learned was that Lebanon County actually requires scheduling of separate electrical and building inspections and they don't just schedule both at the same time. MetEd was quick to get the Net Meter installed and we had official Permission to Operate within two weeks of install completion. All in all, my experience with BES was quite good and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a quality local installer with a good track record and great customer service. Thanks to BES we will be cranking out more juice than we will use for years to come!

Couldn't be more pleased

BrightEye Solar installed my system (29 panels, 9.57 kW) in early September 2021, so it has been up and running for almost five months. My journey into solar started on a whim, and I ended up getting nine different quotes before choosing BrightEye. In the end, no one else came close in terms of customer service, price, production, hardware, etc. BrightEye seemed to have it all, but I wanted to wait to write a review until I had plenty of time to see the whole picture. In short, I couldn’t be more pleased. Everyone at BrightEye has been fantastic to work with. Josh, the consultant that I worked with from day 1, was extremely knowledgeable and helpful, and he answered all of my dozens of my questions. I can’t thank Yvette and Annette enough for all of their support, and I even had the pleasure of speaking with the CEO, Jim. The electricians and installers were great, and their work was impeccable. The team was even able to get approval from the utility company for a special request that I had regarding placement of the outside disconnect panel. Now for the system. I went with the Enphase microinverters as opposed to a string inverter. They cost a bit more, but they have a 25-year warranty, and I like being able to see what each panel is producing throughout the day. I watch the Enphase Enlighten app all day (especially on sunny days), and I love all of the info that it provides. I was told that I would likely have a couple of electricity bills during the winter months since the system wasn’t installed until September. The system produced enough from September through November so that I had enough kWh banked to get me through December and January, and I will easily have enough to get me through February as well. The electricity production has far exceeded my expectations. Back to the customer service: Earlier this morning (on a snowy Saturday), I checked the app and noticed that four of the microinverters weren’t reporting data. I emailed Adam at BrightEye, and the issue was corrected in less than five minutes. The service after the sale is as impressive as everything else with this company. I can’t recommend BrightEye highly enough, and I tell everyone that I know about them.

Chub Radabaugh | Loysville, PA | 01/26/2022

Highly recommend this company!

I recently had Bright Eye Solar install their system on my roof. The sales staff was knowledgeable and quick to reply to all my inquiries. The installation was well done and the system was producing power within a week of the installation start date. I had three reputable quotes on this job and they won my business due to their 5 year system production quarantee that none of the other companies felt comfortable offering. Bright Eye Solar took care of everything and I couldn't be more pleased!

A successful SOLAR story

This is our story of installing a small residential solar system with a large electric grid supplier in a municipality of few such installations. At the beginning we knew nothing, yet we had a long strong history of working with restoration and building contractors, but this was a new rodeo! We realized the challenges of getting unbiased information about a solar installation; its reliable components; its financial aspects (beginning to end); product and installers’ warranties; and dealing with municipality codes, electric grid net metering procedures, tax credit, and SRECs. While there are a number of internet sites claiming to help, many are either installers with their own particular services, financial come-ons, and system products, or “ANGI” type sites who have collected such installers. There are YouTube presentations, but again there might be agendas by presenters, rather than unbiased info. We found UnderstandSolar.com and SolarUnitedNeighbors.org to be comprehensive and helpful. We researched and gathered information, then we developed installer interview standards and questions, as well as objectives and particulars wanted within our contract with any installer. Now we reach out to installers. While we would have preferred to support local installers, the email/text responses cascade in from both ‘national’ installers and from ‘ANGI’ sites. Ironically, even though our some of our local installers are members of ‘ANGI’ site, none of them are passed to us. The nearest installer offered was 200 miles away…ah service from a distance “when we get enough clients in your area, we’ll contact you”. SOLUTION: Reach out to our Real Estate and banking folks…ah, let’s get local! We were recommended to BRIGHTEYE SOLAR, LLC… “We went with Josh cuz we knew the family and he did our first business system, but BRIGHTEYE SOLAR offered a better price, warranty, and service, you should check them out.” After interviewing five other local installers (within 30 miles), each addressing, as best they could or wanted to, our interview standards and contract wishes, BRIGHTEYE SOLAR’s Dan showed not only his personal and professional attention to us, but also confirmed that BRIGHTEYE SOLAR does the same. Our initial meetings with Dan were followed up with email and phone question/answer sessions. At contract signing time we met with the company’s owner Jim to create and agree with a mutually constructed comprehensive contract and system proposal (location, components, warranties, time-lines, follow-ups, etc.). Within two weeks a knowledgeable crew of Adam (electro-tech), R.J. and Sam carefully explained and completed the 17 PV panel installation in two days. They kept the work site clean, orderly and made adjustments based on our on-site preferences, which did not violate the site plans provided to us by BRIGHTEYE SOLAR’s client contact Yvette. Yvette expertly resolved all the inspections, net metering contracts, and SREC contracts with continued email/phone contact with us. Project manager Austin confirmed the system’s effectiveness on day 2 of installation; was present for municipal site inspections (passed); and effectively established the system internet monitoring, and its net metering with the SREC service. So, the story’s continues…we did the necessary homework; determined what we wanted in a system and who we wanted to work with based on shared criteria; went through the people processes to find a firm, which was personable, professional, accommodating, comprehensive its service and communication; and followed through with integrity to our system’s completion. Don’t believe us…go with BRIGHTEYE SOLAR. Ask them for our contact so you can verify our solar success story… we await your contact!

Bright Eye Solar delivered

After researching several companies large and small I chose Bright Eye Solar. I made the correct choice. From the beginning of information gathering process, through the cost analysis, and the system design, the representatives were helpful and courteous. I didn’t feel pressured to make a commitment. Bright Eye Solar explained the entire process including SREC’s, financing options, equipment options, and the installation process. Bright Eye Solar worked well with my utility company (PP&L) and my local building inspector. Representatives provide updates throughout the project remaining in constant communication via email and phone conversations. My 43 panel system is performing above expectations. I have the folks Bright Eye Solar to thank.

Amazing service

We purchased a complete solar generation system from Bright Eye in 2016. Since startup we have generated over 30 MW of electricity. The first impression of Bright Eye was the personal involvement of Jim Noden (CEO) and the fact that we were not dealing with big business America or China. Jim actually got on our roof with instruments to provide an estimate of expected power generation. The installation process was quick and efficient with perfect workmanship by two friendly installers. During hurricane IDA we had a roof leak into a finished room. Since our roof was only 5 years old we decided to call Bright Eye to investigate. Jim and an installer were here in the next morning and found and corrected a problem that had nothing to do with the solar panels. That's what we call SERVICE. Opening the electric bill is actually fun now.

Great Solar Experience

Great solar company to work with even if you are a beginner. Josh Sheppard was very knowledgeable and explained everything very well to get them project rolling. We did hit a few snags with timing and the system getting up and working where we could see our production. Everyone on the team is responsive and does get back to you with any questions you may have. Overall, a good experience with Bright Eye and would recommend to others.

Very reasonable and local business

When I decided to go solar I was comparing many quotes from different companies and Bright Eye Solar was one of them. Josh Sheppard (Solar Consultant) from Bright Eye was very easy to talk to and courteous. As solar is a very expensive investment, I wanted to get the biggest bang for my buck and Josh delivered. As for the installation of the system, it took a bit longer than I expected (understandable as we're in a pandemic and due to weather complications). There was some issues with getting my system up and running smoothly (it was a learning experience for the installation team as they had just started working with the new Generac inverters), but Ben Lessig (project manager) was able to decipher the issue after communicating with Generac (kudos to you Ben) and got the system up and running. Although I was a bit frustrated at times due to the long installation period and the system not functioning properly at first (again not an issue that was caused by Bright Eye, the Generac Inverters were the issue) the company went above to optimize my system free of charge by providing five PV links. Now that my system has been operating successfully I couldn't be happier and I will be returning to the company for the installation of future Generac PWRcell batteries. Glad I was able to work with a local company as I believe in providing local business.

Best in the Business

After meeting with 3 other solar companies, we decided to go with Bight Eye. They provided more info, and offered the most details of the inspection, installation, activation, and monitoring of the system. E-mail communication was convenient and efficient. Most document signing was done online, and they took care of all the legal, and technical aspects. Installation took only 3 days. The crew was skilled, friendly, and professional. Explained what they were doing, and left only when the job was complete and the area was clean. The financing was flexible with no money down, and a good interest rate. Monitoring the system is easy on my computer or smartphone. I highly recommend Bright Eye for all your solar needs.

Excellent Service

I did a ground mount system and while excavating they ran into serious rocks. I know for a fact that this cost them extra time and money, but they did not come back to me to try to raise the agreed upon price (even though the contract state that they can). I was very please all around.

Terrific investment

I contacted Jim Noden a few years back, inquiring about what would be involved in a solar installation. He took the time to speak with me by phone and work up a detailed proposal, which I reviewed in depth, but it was not the right time for me and he did not pressure me in any way, nor did he contact me subsequently., after advising him of my thinking. Earlier this year, I was at a local home show and spoke with another solar company, looking to see what the state of solar electric was. Based upon the information given, I invited them out to my home, where they provided a detailed overview of how solar works and their particular offering. They provided a detailed quote but then I recalled having spoken to Jim a few years back and as he was a local company, I felt that I should reach back out to him for a comparison. Well, there was none. Jim, once again, provided an updated and detailed proposal for my home, based upon analysis of my past electric usage. What he came back with was a quote for a system that was larger than the one he had originally quoted, more efficient and several thousand dollars cheaper, not just compared to the other company, but the earlier quote from him! It is true that particularly with technology, quality and efficiency improves with future development and so prices drop. My wife and I decided to go with Jim. I did a good bit of due diligence not just on Jim and his company, but also with past customers of his. I could not find anything other than a 5 star rating. The other customers were very happy with their respective experiences with Jim and Brighteye. I contacted Jim with any number of questions, almost daily, and he or his staff always responded and never made me feel as if I was a bother. Financing was offered through a finance company who specializes in solar installs but I requested to arrange my own financing and I received no push-back for doing so. I was handheld through completion of final plans, submittal to the township and necessary approvals, all of which were handled by Jim and his team. It took about a month to complete those steps. Installation began a few weeks later. Installation was completely painless. Site foreman Logan and his technicians were both efficient and professional. They were polite and there was no evidence of them after they left each day. Installation took about 4 days and then office staff handheld me through getting my new system filed with PP&L as well as getting my remote monitoring up and running and finally, connected me to the company who would eventually broker my energy certificates, as my system generated sufficiently to qualify for them. The system has been running for 3 months. I have not cut back on comfort settings in any way and I am already 260kw AHEAD for the month, meaning that I have sent the electric company energy above and beyond my usage. At 20 days into my August monthly cycle, my "bill" is minus 21.38, essentially reflecting the dollar savings of the e

A Great Experience

An extremely positive experience from start to finish. I contacted 6 different solar companies. After carefully assessing them all, Bright Eye was the clear favorite: - Their estimating process was the most professional by far. - I am someone who needs in depth understanding of everything I do. They were both knowledgeable and patient with my numerous questions. - The installation crew also did a fantastic job. Neat and professional. And the foreman went out of his way to orient me to the proper use of the monitoring app. - They even helped me through an inspection hassle concerning my existing electrical system. This was above and beyond the call of duty. - Finally, they were the only vendor who provided a performance guaranty. Though I am assuming that will never come into play, it is comforting to have. Cannot recommend them too highly.

Solar Pannels

Jim and his team were great. I talked to a number of solar companies before deciding on Bright Eye Solar. Well I am not disapointed. Jim was upfront about everything. He told me about the 30% tax credit and said you may not get it all it depends on how much tax you pay. He explained the difference between owning and leasing. Answered ever question. He showed me what the house will look like with the pannel on line before ever comming out. His estimate was right on. We have a 13.2 kwp system. We could have had 10 more pannels or so from what other companies showed us online. Jim said they would not get the sun they need he was right. I have been watching the shade in the back of my house and the roof dosen't get the sun all day just a couple hours. Other companies had pannels there in their estimates. Jim also got us the financing we need. So no more electric bill just the loan wich is less and will never go up. Jim's team did great work our house looks good. They were very professional cleaned up after themselves. I would recommend them. Their customer service is great. Thanks Bright Eye Solar Sue and Jim Scharf

Overall Best

When looking into the cost savings that solar energy would provide to us we realized it was silly not to make the investment. After researching, interviewing, and price/product comparing over 15 different solar companies, we decided to go with Bright Eye about a year and a half ago. Jim, the owner, worked directly with us to develop optimize, and customize a plan that worked for us. The company delivered on their promises and products. We had one minor issue with the system's connection (did not affect production) and the tech team notified us immediately and the issue was quickly and easily resolved. I love that Bight Eye is a local company that is small enough to provide us the customer support that we need but large enough to come to a price point that works for us. I would recommend this company and would use them if we had to do it over again!

Excellent Service and Product

The entire process of obtaining our solar system from BrightEye was wonderful. Jim and his team helped us from the get-go to let us know exactly what we were buying. Everything from the components themselves to how the system was hooked up to our home to SRECs were explained in detail upfront. Every question I had was answered. Communication from BrightEye was great throughout the process. On a daily basis during the install, the project lead updated me several times. I was told what the daily plan was, their progress, and what to expect the next day. I was also made aware of any challenges they faced and how that would impact the install timeline (I had a pole-mounted array installed in PA in the middle of January). The entire install team was very professional and respectful towards me, my family, and my property. Closing in on the 2nd anniversary of the install, I am astonished by how accurate Jim's forecasting models were when it came to power generation of the system. We used the numbers he provided in his proposal to forecast our savings in terms of our electric bill and his forecast remains within a few percentage points of the actual. I highly recommend BrightEye Solar for their knowledge, professionalism, service, and overall approach to furthering solar energy.

Solar System Installation

Having just completed a major renovation on our house, I was concerned that I might have to monitor the solar installation and inspections as closely as I did the renovation. Turns out I did not. The difference between the two experiences was night and day. James and his crew were very professional and competent. Some things I really appreciated were: James revised the quote to accommodate some changes I wanted. Two other solar installers who had given initial quotes didn’t even bother to revise their quotes after saying they would. James and his crew did what they said they would and when they were supposed to. James and Annette answered any questions I had promptly. Annette was especially helpful The solar installation went very smoothly, the work looks neat and tidy and we have had no problems I would recommend James and BrightEye to anyone, and, if they did installations in Florida I would use them again without hesitation.

Look no Farther than Bright Eye Solar

I could not have asked for a better experience form the initial contact to the installation. Every person I interacted with took the time and treated me with respect and professionalism. Any question I had was answered and I felt like they truely cared about what I was looking for. If you are looking for a professional company, look no further than Bright Eye Solar for your needs. Top Notch in all areas.

Good results minor hitches

I began looking into solar panels back in 2016 and started my communication with Jim back then. Unfortunately, some expenses came up and I had to delay; Jim was professional and understood. I picked up communication again in Fall 2017 and after talking with a couple of other companies including a national chain I decided to go with Bright Eye Solar. I was a bit concerned because I have not seen many recent reviews but I spoke with some references and I did see that that they were busy with plenty of other jobs which made me more comfortable with my decision. In terms of the process itself, we did run into a couple hitches. First, my electric provider didn’t approve the micro inverters we were planning on this year yet (was on schedule to be approved in early 2018) so with had to change to optimizer. Second, the measurements were redone. This started off to be a good thing as it allowed us to get an extra panel on the roof. Unfortunately, we ran into hitch number 3: the mounting system was supposed to be one system. Unfortunately, the mounting system I wanted needed a bit more space and there was a miscommunication that resulted in half my roof with one mounting system and half with the other mounting system. Despite the hitches, they crew was very friendly, respectful and professional. There was constant communication and the job was completed in early December. I was constantly comparing my system production to another system not far from me that is about 250 w larger than my system. Throughout December I was finding that on most days my system was actually outperforming the other despite mine being slightly smaller even though neither of us are in the shade. It is now January 11 and my system has produced 478 kWh so far this month; the comparative system is only about 400 kWh for the month so far. I am very pleased with the results and the customer service of Bright Eye.

Solar system maintenance

My solar installer had gone out of business and I was encountering issues that needed addressed. Jim at Bright Eye Solar was quick to respond to my request for assistance. The company checked my system and found the issues were covered under warranty. The micro inverters were repaced and my system is now back to capacity. Thanks for a great experience!!!

Mr

We were considering getting solar when building our new home and Bright Eye were one of the installers recommended by our Builders. From the outset Jim and his team were courteous and knowledgeable, explaining the different options for our house and the power projections. Even though they promised less power than other installers, I got the sense that their estimates were not exaggerated. Installation went smoothly and Jim and his team have been on hand throughout as we started up the system and applied for energy credits and rebates. They even told us about a $400 rebate we knew nothing about!! We are on track for the solar to supply all of our electric needs through the year. Couldn't be happier.

Great service

I got multiple quotes in the area on a roof array and BrightEye was very competitive and also quite professional in how they conducted business. The project went as planned and my panels are producing as expected. It's nice to know that they guarantee your production for 5 years and actually reimburse you for any shortcomings from their original quote. I'm very pleased with how the panels look. Jim was great to work with and even gave me some tips on how to sell my SRECs privately to save some money. Would highly recommend.
