Thus far we are very happy with Purelight power. We did not experience high pressure sales tactics, our contract was straightforward, and the install was well done. Thus far the system is working as promised, and we have sorted out the issues we encountered. Overall we are satisfied with the company. A few details: Clean up in the yard and driveway could have been better, but I do not know how much of a mess was present in the first place, and the install was completed with snow on the ground. Thus there are complicating factors here. I don't expect a worker who drops a bracket or bolt into over a foot of snow to be able to find the item later on. There were a few pieces of hardware in the driveway. Thus this is a mild issue. There was dust and dirt on the floor from attic access, and the attic access panel had some paint scrapes and fingerprints on it. Again, this is expected, but we were not told about it and found this later. It is easy to fix, and the problems were not unexpected, but I would have like to have been informed on the front end, rather than finding it later. - Again, a mild issue. We were not informed we would need to change from "budget billing" (averaging our energy bills over the year to provide the same payment each month) to monthly billing for our power bill to drop to $0. Thus we had an extra charge for one month of power, but his is being held by Northwest Energy as a credit. Of note: I was able to provide this feedback to the company without issue. They took our feedback constructively and in the spirit it was intended. Last thoughts: It sounds like the different sales teams and installation teams vary in their approach and culture. Purelight Power needs to take notice of this issue and ensure their teams and sales force have the same culture and the same expectations of service across the board. In looking at reviews, the company either does very well or terribly, and that distribution of opinion does not make sense. I'm not particularly happy with the use of a Tesla inverter, but it is one of the best out there and these were purchased by Purelight Power prior to our install, and prior to January of 2025. We did compromise on that, but in the future I think I would ask for a different inverter if there is a comparable one available. But that is a personal choice, and should not necessarily sway customers. I do believe Purelight Power does have other inverters available to use.
