American Solar Solution is one of the most inept, unprofessional and unfriendly company that I have ever done business with. I was deceived with the promise of 100% offset from my electrical cost and American Solar Solution failed to deliver on their promise. They are so unprofessional that they did not even follow their own contract! The negligence of American Solar Solution to do a proper site survey, shade analysis and roof inspection<br />resulted in a botched installation. This company installed my solar system in the shade! For over nine months I have tried to resolve my grievances with American Solar Solution without success. American Solar Solution has not accept their mistakes, rather in the process, American Solar Solution has ignored me, insulted me, called me names, and projected their short comings onto me. It has been a nightmare dealing with this unscrupulous company.<br /><br /> From the very beginning, American Solar Solution did not do a proper site survey or shade analysis; they calculated my energy needs incorrectly using only one electric bill instead of using an entire year which is the industry standard. As a result, American Solar Solution undersized the system by over 40%. Additionally, the solar report American Solar Solution generated was based on a single solar pathfinder picture for shade analysis instead of using a picture on each corner of the array, which is the proper procedure.<br /><br /> American Solar Solution completely ignored a south facing roof on the house, which is the recommended orientation by professional installers. American Solar Solution installed the system directly where the shade of my house falls directly on the panels from August to April. During these months, my electrical bill is about the same as if there were no solar panels at all.<br />.<br /> When American Solar Solution finished, they left a bunch of broken tiles in my roof and all kinds of debris for me to clean up and haul away at my own cost and left an attic light on it for over a month, which I discovered by accident. Furthermore, American Solar Solution came into my property when I was not home causing stress to my dogs, completely ignoring my instructions not come in without notifying me first.<br /><br /> For months I have been trying to negotiate with them and I have been treated in the most condescending, disrespectful and chauvinistic manner. American Solar Solution had the gall to call me a liar in my own house instead of accepting their incompetence. This company played the victim role trying to convince me that I was the unreasonable party and placing all the blame on me.<br /><br /> I submitted a complain to the Better Business Bureau and with the State Contractors License Board. I am currently picketing their business establishment and I am in the process of starting litigation. If you have had a similar experience with this company, please feel free to post your dissatisfaction alongside mine or send me an email at solarripoff@yahoo.com. Perhaps we can work together to stop American Solar Solution from exploiting others.<br /><br /> <br />I have been picketing in front of the offices of American Solar Solution and I have been approached by lots of people, including former and current employees who have helped me to get a better understanding of the unethical practices of this company. If I had known any of this, I would have never opened the door to American Solar Solution<br />You should be aware that there is a chance that American Solar Solution may change their company name.
