Picking an installer for my solar project was a challenging process. Live Wire Solar was the only company that a) answered my questions, b) had a sales person who was actually knowledgeable about solar installations, and c) wasn't hyper aggressive, abusive, or pushy with their sales tactics (seriously the rest of the industry needs to get up on that, the number of outright abusive sales people I came across in the process was too high). I appreciated that. Its ultimately why they were selected and why I would chose them again if I ever had to do this again. Ultimately they came up with a well designed system that appears to have been optimized to find the best value for money. The installation process was professional, clean, and well done. There were a couple of issues with the process that I did not like. E.g. I would have liked regular updates on the progress, even if the update was no change yet. I had to reach out multiple times and felt like I was being forgotten about. This ultimately worked out in my favor in the long run because we ended up unexpectedly needing a roof replacement. So while it took longer than originally quoted to get the system up, it worked out well. Worker shortages during the summer seem to have played a role in the process taking longer than expected. I don't know that I can fault them for that given that everyone was having that kind of problem. All said, I would go with them again if I needed this done in the future. Their sales process by itself was enough for that. Having someone who actually knows the systems being installed in the initial process was invaluable. I hope they keep doing that.
