Installation of Tesla Power Wall by Belmont Solar

In Sept 2022, Belmont installed two Tesla Power Wall battery units at our residence in Schwenksville, Pa. We are very pleased with the result and recommend Belmont for renewable energy/battery-related installation services Our south facing roof already had solar panels installed by Solar City (now Tesla) in 2016. Following a series of power outages, including Ida in 2021, we wanted a non-gas generator power back-up with enough capacity for a well pump and other essentials -- two Power Wall batteries. Based on feedback and on-line reviews, we felt the Tesla Power Wall was the best quality back-up battery system; certainly it was not the cheapest. Following discussion and completion of a survey with Tesla, that company refused to do the install. Tesla wanted to combine their Power Wall with the installation of solar. However, our north facing roof did not meet their specs for placement of additional panels. We reached out to Belmont and provided photos and specs, then met with Ben Zoom in June. He agreed with the high caliber of the Tesla Power Wall product. Unfortunately, due to Belmont's own procurement cost of the power walls, he could not provide as low an estimate as Tesla. The recently-passed Inflation Reduction Act will allow up to a 30% federal rebate that would kick in for the batteries.
